"Very welcome. I look after my own. I'm sure I'll be seeing you," Esprit says, and she moves to leave.
Mull on that, Aidan.

Her own? Aidan, baffled, stares after her but makes no moves to stop her.
At first.
"W… wait," he says, very very quietly, and reaches one hand as if to rest it on her arm. He doesn't actually touch her. He doesn't dare. "What do you mean?"

Esprit pauses, still as a statue. Then she replies quietly and truthfully, "We've met before. You just don't remember."

She's right; Aidan doesn't remember meeting her before she happened into his shop. Is that what she means? No, that can't be it, unless she assumes he doesn't remember that day. (On the contrary, he remembers it quite well.) What, then? His eyes seem to darken with his thoughts. The drugs make him so fuzzy-headed. Focusing is difficult at best.
"…Oh," he says finally, defeated for the moment. He can't place her.
Though, in some subconscious corner, he sees an unsettling familiarity in some of her mannerisms. How they are familiar is still beyond his grasp. It's simply there, subtle, an undercurrent of whispered words and cold, disdainful stares.
"Thank you," he says at length, hesitantly. Is her wardenship something he should appreciate? Or fear?

Esprit just nods magnanimously and tries again to depart.
He should fear.
They should always fear.
OOC: Wrap, unless you have anything else?

Aidan retreats to his packing without another word as Esprit makes her exit, though there's really nothing for him to do with it. It calms him, however, and gives him time to think about how he'll explain all this to Leann.
OOC: Wrap is good with me.
