Starscream shoots a missile into the the largest group of isopods. There's a cool underwater explosion with lots of bubbles and lots of flash-fried mutant crustacean.
He's willing enough to follow the Prime's direction, for the moment, so Starscream quickly backs through the indicated hatchway, covering the retreat (or is it an advance? They're moving away from combat, but deeper into enemy territory) with machine gun fire.

There is jack all that Metatron can do right now, being as her ability is sound-based, and she's in a suit right now that muffles her voice. So she just hangs behind and stays out of the way of those people who actually know what they are doing.
The animators save some animation money.
So yeah, she hustles in deeper where indicated.

They go through a hatch that depressurizes and shortly find themselves inside the station proper, with air and everything. That means they can take off their helmets if they want. Cavalier does as soon as he's sure they won't be flooded any moment, because it widens his field of vision. For the moment, things are quiet, but with all the teleporting wildlife that might not last long.
Or they could just get to the well and get done with things.
Cavalier looks back towards the hatch, where the Clown Train Isopods are waiting, sighs, and turns away, walking briskly. "Let's try to get to the well and get done with things, shall we?" he says.

Starscream notices that Rodimus, like many human heroes, is very eager to take his helmet off, despite being uncertain of the air quality. If any place on Earth has superpowered airborne flesh-eating bacteria, this is it.
If he croaks, Screamer calls dibs on the Matrix.
"Of course," he agrees, stalking down the corridor, metal footsteps echoing loudly in the enclosed space. "It should be just past this next intersection."

Rodimus also has life-based superpowers, so Metatron imagines that he probably has a super-immune system or something.
She does not take off her own helmet. Metatron does, however, start to press forward, almost as if she is trying, however futilely, to get ahead of Starscream and Rodimus.

The group of reluctant allies make their way to the center of the base, to the light well that seemed to have been the original trigger of the whole mess. Cavalier gets increasingly jumpy as he gets to the center, as though his attention is constantly being pulled in all directions. It's certainly on the Decepticons often enough to make it obvious that he still thinks of them as a threat, but his focus also regularly darts towards the center of the complex.
Once they enter the room with the strange, oversized well of light in the center, reality seems to twist. The minds of all those present fill with images of an Earth without Transformers. The last of those made human are ancient, living out the short remainder of their organic lives in their hospital beds. The robotic Transformers had abandoned the planet long ago.
Within the visions is the impression of want, as if some force, some being in the well, or of the well, or even the well itself desires the pictures that the visitors are being shown be made reality.
OOC: People can feel free to contribute to the content of the visions, provided they keep to the theme.

Starscream bats a taloned hand at the hallucinatory images, growling, a rumble from deep in his chest. The vast chamber echoes and amplifies the sound, seeming (to Starscream anyway) to roar back at him.
"I'm not leaving without what I came for!" he shouts. "Give me back my people or I will personally ensure that this entire planet is torched, one lifeform at a time!"
When his Allspark shattered, Starscream tried to build a new one, and jump-start it with the sparks of dead Autobots. He's not particularly awed by the supernatural.

The visions bat back at Starscream.
They seem to try to slap him, to warp Starscream's perspective until he's ankle-level to himself, but it seems like they cannot, for whatever reason, find solid purchase on him.
He was one who resisted being turned human, after all. Something about him is untouchable.
Sharon narrows her gaze as Starscream blusters and threatens, and she offers a different threat of your own, "You can kill me and mine, but you are going to pay a terrible price if you do. You see..."
She taps the side of her head. "We're full of ideas. Alien ideas. Your children will not be your own if you give us another decade with them. We'll warp them, around us. it's what we do. We transform... worlds, if need be."
"If you return us to our mechanical forms, we won't be in quite as much of a position to the dominate the sociopolitical landscape, because, go on..."
"Leave me like this..."
"...and see if I don't have a hemisphere to my name before it's all over."
Is Sharon serious?
Does it matter?

"She's right, you know," Cavalier adds. "It's already happening. Look to your surface."
He shakes his head. "I don't want this. We... don't want this. But there are those in our number who would do anything to get back to what they were... or, failing that, twist you and yours into something more to their liking."
And then the thing in the well begins to scream, waves of its pain and distress pushing outward.

The thing in the well . . . the planet? . . . is screaming. Starscream staggers backwards, catching himself with an outstretched hand on the wall of the chamber. It may not be possible to turn him into a human for whatever reason, but he can feel the pain radiating out.
"Enough of this! No more negotiation. This thing clearly isn't intelligent enough to be reasoned with like a civilized being," he growls, stepping forward and opening his cockpit, withdrawing a tiny canister from inside and holding it over the well. The metallic grey liquid inside sloshes. "More primitive methods will have to suffice. Change all of us back or I drop this in," he states.

The canister in Starscream's hand explodes...
...into butterflies of every colour, flittering around the room.
The butterflies rearrange themselves, forming a moving image, like a grainy holo-projection. The butterflies show the transformers. Something is following them, something big and terrible and vast and awful beyond comprehension. Death walks in their shadows.
They need to go.
One way or the other, the chichokon doesn't really care.
But maybe they can leave as they are, if they can be made to move...
"We can't stop him if we aren't ourselves," Metatron points out, lips pressed into a thing line.
The butterflies indicate that they were not speaking of... him, in specific. To them, there is no difference between him and the rest, no line between.
That really bothers Metatron, leaving her mouth dry.

Rodimus winces, perhaps because there's less distinction between him and the other than he'd like as it is. It's not nearly other enough.
Though the reminder of how... destructive their touch is is unpleasant enough.
"Turn us back, and we'll leave," he promises. Then he glares at Starscream through the corners of his eyes. "Won't we?"

Starscream drops the shards of ex-canister and swats at the butterflies, letting out an ill-tempered growl as he watches the shifting images.
At Rodimus's statement, he turns to face the Prime, one massive taloned foot clanging down on the floor right in front of the human-shaped Autobot. "I don't take orders from you, Prime," he snarls. "But I fully intend to put as many light-years as possible between myself and this disgusting planet as soon as my people are returned to me," he says, the last bit addressed to the well.

There is a flash of light. Of course there is. It couldn't go any other way.
They will leave, and they will go as they are.
When the light fades, those who were human are no longer.
Human.
They're Transformers again.
It's suddenly very, very crowded in here.

And Rodimus is once more Rodimus. Rodney Pryor is no more. He looks down over his body, then automatically feels his chest, though he doesn't open it. The Matrix is still there... and the passenger is more awake than it had been. For a moment, the implications of the being in the well come back to him and he scowls before chasing it away and looking around. "Everyone okay?" he asks. He's not really that worried about Starscream, but Starscream can be okay, too. Making Starscream not-okay isn't the highest priority at the moment.
