If we reverse our polarity, this cage will not hold us. We will need to find host machines quickly, however, or we will flicker, fade, and, ah... you, know, Pincher thinks delicately.
The 'how' is rather more tricky. I am a chemical engineer, not someone who works with sparks extensively. In fact, there are rather few experts in the field. That area of study is somewhat taboo. There are those would would leave it wholly in the hands of religion.
He seems to disapprove.
But if we are luminous, radiant beings, it is because we are made of energy, and that is in and of itself a wondrous enough explanation without adding any unfalsifiable assertions.
Now, even neutral atoms can generation a dipole moment. You see, each atom has an electron could around it where it is probable that the electron could be, but it is possible for the electrons to all be roughly on one side and for the other side to be relatively barren of electrons, and in that moment, the atom has a negative charge on one side and a positive charge on the other and may engage in reactions.
So what I want to try is this - you think of the most positive thought you can. I will think of the most negative. Hopefully this will induce an instantaneous spark to spark attraction and the resulting collision will alter our respective polarities enough to free us.
But if this does not work, let me just say that this is possibly the third worst idea I have ever had.

"'Host machine'?" Override wonders, picking out what she can make sense of from Pincher's ramble. "As a human, I could sort of mentally merge with cars?"
She considers. "Positive thoughts? Yeah, I can do that." She thinks of racing. She thinks of victory. She thinks of winning the Wolrd Cup... not the thousands, millions of times she's done it, when she already knew she could, but the first time, when she didn't knew, when she wasn't even technically allowed to try.

Pincher has heard about many awful things. Unicron, for one. What Shockwave will do later in his own timeline. Plenty of battles in the Great War. Even what happened with his own programming is abstract in an awful sense, but...
...but none of it really has much of any immediacy, to Pincher. Hearing about something is not experiencing it. His programming changes were subtle. He wouldn't have noticed them if he had not had them pointed out by Perceptor.
What does have immediacy are Pincher's own failures. He makes chemical weapons, and while he tries to minimize the collateral damage, while he feels that any collateral damage is just too much...
It has happened.
The first time was the worst, he thinks. Pincher didn't want it to happen, but the second time, he was a little more jaded. The third even more so.
But the first time there was collateral damage...
Pincher will always remember how his lab tech looked, red rust running down his face and betrayal in his optics. Pincher felt so sickly helpless and so guilty.
It should have been him.

Override continues to accentuate the positive, and after a few moments, begins moving towards Pincher. Opposites, attract, after all.
As she collides, there's a small explosion, and she's rocketed out of the tube. If one can listen in the right frequency, they might very well hear her going, "Yeee-haw!" as she flies through the air, trying to find something to possess.

Pincher has a fairly specific plan on what he wants to possess, actually. Remember those test tubes full of nanites that use air as reaction mass to create giant robot scorpions?
Yeah, one of those.
Though it may have the side-effect of turning him completely psychotic. Of course, this is why he is testing it on himself.
So Pincher makes a beeline toward the super top secret locked-down test tube racks.

There's a sort of sizzling sound as two reverse-polarized sparks pass through the wall of their containment unit. Terrence looks over his shoulder to see what the noise was, notices the container is empty, catches a glimpse of two oddly-colored sparks, and promptly panics.
He screams and rushes out of the lab, pressing himself against a wall in the corridor as he tries to collect himself. He does not want to be down here with poltergeists. He also really, really doesn't want to call anyone else down here to explain what's going on.

Override's spark zips right out through a wall (and possibly right past Tarantulas), heading directly towards the parking lot!

Here is the thing. Pincher was never planning on a starting a scorpion apocalypse.
The reason why the cybervirus causes problem is that human brains and Transformer bodies do not interface well. See: Autobot Spike.
But he's a free-floating spark. Not a human brain.
And /this/ strain of the cybervirus wasn't supposed to be contagious.
What he didn't realise was that possessing a test tube on the rack would break the /other/ tubes, too.

Terrence spends a few moments hyperventilating against a wall as he collects his wits. "You can do this, Tarantulas," he says to himself. "They've obviously just depolarized themselves somehow. It's not like they're Vok. They can't hurt me. Unless Chromedome's Theory of Temporary Transmigration is true. But no-one takes that seriously. Anyway, I already have a spark. Right, right. Just need to walk back into the lab, flip the polarity on the spark extractor, and recapture them. No problem."
He calms himself, takes a deep breath, and strides back into the lab. Exactly how much hell has broken loose?

Override possesses the speediest looking car on the lot (given the company, odds favor that there's someone who's both working late and inclined towards expensive 'midlife crisis' sorts of cars) and revs her engine. However, since she's not the sort of person to leave a friend or teammate behind (unless she's, you know, racing them), she immediately turns and drives right for the front door, smashing it in and probably setting off all sorts of security alarms.

There is a rather large mechascorpion coalescing inside the laboratory, and there are a few broken test tubes spilled on the floor.
Terrence has time to hit the sealing button that will hit the area with the sterilizing force of a thousand suns and then run.
If he wants.

Mechascorpions Tarantulas can deal with. He used to have to compete for lab space with one. He's not currently cyborged enough to deal with a grey goo scenario, however.
He gasps before covering his nose and mouth with a hand and scrambling back out the door, nearly tripping in his rush to be gone. The spark extractor lays forgotten in the doorway, holding the door open as Terrence runs down the hall. He barely hears the front door alarms going off over the sound of his own breathing as he dashes for the elevator.

Override is finding this building really hard to get around as a car, but she's Override, she adapts. That lab was down, right? She recalls having to go up to find the car, so that suggests that she needs to find a way down. She drives on down a hallway looking for stairs. If she has to drive down the stairs, she will.

The sealing button isn't touched?
Great. This means there's a good chance that one or more strains of the mechascorpion or cyberforming viruses may escape.
In any case, Pincher is alive again. As himself. He was just a disembodied spark. Now he is a spark with a body. What caused the madness was mostly that turning a brain into a spark really does not work very well, just like uploading a brain into a lasercore gets a crazy like Autobot Spike.
His is still a bit crazy.
Moreso than usual.
This was pretty traumatic.

Tarantulas, as should be abundantly clear by now, does not have an altruistic bone in his body.1 He's also not a big fan of following other people's procedures.
Thus, as soon as the elevator doors open on the ground floor, he dashes for the main exit, not stopping to inform anyone that the horrible destruction of the planet's entire biosphere has started downstairs, and also there may be robot ghosts loose, my bad.
Of course, diverse alarums are going off at this point, and Terrence looks suspicious as all get out, so he gets stopped by security, which involves tackling him to the ground and restraining him, despite his protestations and showing of his ID badge. When you work security at Kao-Nic Tech, you get trained on what to do when scientists run screaming out of their labs. (The three-day quarantine is absolutely non-negotiable.)
Override may find she has to go down the stairwell on two wheels because it is narrow, but she is Queen of the Race Car Planet, so she can probably do that. Pincher may find hovering Mark II Fail-safe Sterilization Drones deploying from hidden panels in the ceiling to incinerate him with flamethrowers and plasma torches, but he's an alien genius, so he'll probably be fine.
1. He usually doesn't have any bones in his body at all, but he's slightly more human than usual at the moment.
