Month 12, Week 2, Day 7, Open to 'Cons
Starscream is leaning on a railing, talons clutching the metal as he stares out the main bridge viewport at the unconquered blue marble rotating below. Ship is running critical systems only, both to make it give off less energy and be harder to detect, and because the Decepticons' energon reserves are running lower than Starscream cares for. They're also behind on maintenance due to being short-handed, and despite how well Hook builds, even his designs can't see to their own upkeep.
An entire section of the ship nearly depressurized due to a short-circuit in a computer bank. Not that Cybertronians need an atmosphere to function, but still.
Starscream has called a general staff meeting to address the problems. He's not looking forward to dealing with his general staff.

The doors slide open and there's the light tapping of little feet on the walkway. Same play of shadows, same pace. Perhaps a slight hesitation when Mistwind pauzes to evaluate finding the commander standing at the same spot as before.
Is someone going to die?
Well, it's not his business unless Starscream orders it so. Mistwind bows, "Supreme Commander Starscream Sir, Unit Mistwind reporting in, Sir."

Fleetwind walks in, footsteps managing to sound light and hesitant despite the fact that he's a rather heavy robot and that the actual footfalls are at a steady pace. He looks around nervously, optics sizing up the room's occupants. Okay. Mistwind - probably not a significant danger to Fleetwind, unless there are some unexpected talents or aspects to the tiny robot. Fleetwind isn't going to discount that possibility.
And Starscream. Very dangerous. Significant threat.
He steps to the side, finding himself wishing he weren't one of the first to arrive. It's so much easier to blend in unnoticed when there are more people milling about. At that point he activates his Generic Background Seeker Scene-filler ability.
He doesn't yet actually greet anyone, because he'd rather not announce himself, though if anyone looks his way he'll give a quick nod of acknowledgement.

OOC: Going to assume those 'Cons who are showing up have done so in the background. Anyone wants to pose arriving late or having been there all along, feel free.
"Decepticons, Predacons, it is time for us to leave this planet," Starscream begins. "However, our fuel reserves are running low, and we do not have enough energy to power Ship for the interstellar journey we need to make. Nor do we have the crew remaining to maintain the vessel. This is why we're scrapping it and building something smaller and sleeker from the parts. Any questions?" he asks, scanning the assembled mechanisms.

Needlenose, who has arrived fashionably late (but not so late as to miss Starscream's latest commends), bounces forward on the fronts of his feet, then rolls back. He has no mouth, but somehow, there's a smirk that reaches his optics. His hands are absently hooked behind his back.
"Just this, Lord Starscream: how many roommates am I going to have this time around?"
He considers a moment. "Of course, larger berthings should make it easier for us Mayhems to keep track of going ons," he notes, optics narrowed in mock suspicion as he casts his gaze around the room, "though, erm, if Spinister and I are sharing with everyone else, I do hope there will be a few... storage closets around."
Zigzag groans in annoyance.

“Acknowledged, Supreme Commander Starscream Sir!” Mistwind accepts the change without a doubt. “Could this one-“ He’s about to ask whether he can get a copy of the scheduled changes so he can assist in the logistics of such a task when Needlenose makes his quip.
Mistwind shuts up with a frown, thinks for a moment before admitting to the air with a longing in his voice, “I would like a multi-unit nesting room.” Just think of all those warriors pooled together, it’d be all brotherly bonding and everything!
...Except that it totally wouldn't, of course.

"Good question, Needlenose. I'm considering moving to barracks-style housing, reserving private rooms for senior officers." Starscream debates momentarily between rolling his eyes and narrowing them menacingly, finally deciding on the latter. "Facilitating your personal life is not my concern, Mayhem."
He's still not in love with the idea of a unit that operates outside of the chain of command and can decide to disobey his orders if they think it's in the best interest of The Cause. Starscream knows what the cause is, thanks. (It's making Starscream Supreme Overlord of Cybertron, because everyone else is either too crazy or too Autobot to be trusted with it.)
"However," he admits, grumbling, "It would be unseemly for the Mayhem Attack Squad to be housed with the enlisted soldiers." It makes Spinister less scary if everyone sees him brushing his rotors in the morning. And it makes Needlenose less scary if people . . . see him lose at videogames? Starscream is not entirely sure why Needlenose is scary, but he's sure he must be. "You'll still have private quarters."
"Could this one what? Out with it, Mistwind."

Starscream's problem may be that he wasn't here when Needlenose first arrived as an Actionmaster. Besides, he's totally the chummy "good cop" of the Mayhem good cop, bad cop routine!
He beams, an accomplishment when he's lacking a mouth. "Well, of course not, sir! My personal life is self-facilitating!" But then Starscream says that he and Spinister are still getting their own room, and he nods faintly. "Seems reasonable, boss!" Of course it does! He benefits!
He glances at Mistwind, curious to see what the little guy wants, too.

YES! Wish come true for Mistwind! If barracks are introduced instead of rooms, Mistwind will try and see just how many mechs he can sleep next to. Monday Mini's, Tuesday Tanks, Wednesday Waterrats, Thursday Triplechangers, Friday Fliers, Saturday Seekers, and Sunday... Seekers. He'll totally make that attempt.
His thoughts are interrupted by Starscream telling him to continue his question, "Oh" Mistwind refocuses, pauses, "I forgot..." Then it comes back to him, "Oh, wait! I remember, Supreme Commander Starscream Sir! Can this one get a copy of the scheduled changes? It wants to provide its services as best as possible, Sir! Who will be in charge of the logistics of this?"

"As to who will be in charge of logistics . . ." Starscream's face contorts unpleasantly. "Out of the three Constructicons in this reality, we currently have access to zero of them. Blackarachnia is MIA. Which leaves us Tarantulas, Flame, Screwdriver, and Swindle. Logistics aside, we don't currently have anyone who can be trusted with building a starship. So unless anyone has a cunning plan to reacquire Hook," the jetformer scans the room hopefully, "all four of them will work together on the project, supervised closely by the Mayhems."
"To directly address your question, Mistwind, we don't yet have a schedule, but it will be posted as soon as we do." And everyone will be expected to comply with it, but that goes without saying.

Needlenose narrows his optics and considers. "It'll be a challenge, keeping those four in line, though they're all certainly competent for the job." He rubs his forehead and mutters, "Screwdriver will be one of our primary designers. What could possibly go wrong?"
He lowers his arm and then shrugs. "Although I suppose it can't be any worse than some of the little code surprises Shockwave left for us, and hey, at least this is a good chance to get rid of them!"

Mistwind nods and whispers a small, unobtrusive "Thank you, Supreme Commander Starscream Sir."
He doesn't see any problem with the team of architects. It could be better. It could also be worse. He still looks elated at the prospect of these plans, "So, ones we have finished these rebuilding plans, we are moving on, correct, Sirs?"

"Having Shockwave loose in our computer systems is still preferable to Tarantulas. At least we have some idea of Shockwave's agenda," Starscream responds, shooting a look at a computer bank, imagining a single unblinking optic starting back at him.
"Correct. Once construction is complete, we will be departing immediately for Cybertron. Or where Cybertron ought to be. Since we've determined that none of us can return to our native dimensions, we may as well see what kind of home we have here."

"Nooooot really, no," Needlenose disagrees, bouncing up on his "toes". "I mean, okay, we might have some idea about Shockwave's agenda, him and his 'faction free Cybertron,' but not nearly as much as I'm comfortable with!" His antenna perk up. "But anyway, we'll keep a close eye on Tarantulas!"
He nods faintly at Starscream's last statement. "Fair enough, though I'd suggest that we'll have whatever home we make this place into..." He seems like he may be speaking of something broader than just Cybertron.

Home. Mistwind turns silent, a shimmer of sadness on his face. He remains distracted, his head only tilting slightly in Needlenose’s direction when he speaks that curious sentence.
What does the Mayhem mean?
