"Simulated testing is pointless. The data we'll get from it will never be anywhere close to the real thing. I say we build the prototype and start actual testing," Tarantulas insists.

"Then you mean prototyping, not manufacturing," Raymond argues.

Terrence throws his hands up. "Whatever! The part where we build the machine and start playing with it!"

"One does not simply play with a spark extractor," Pincher mutters.
OOC: Montage skip to new part, some time later?

Terrence's human personality wants to make a 'the very air is a poisonous fume' joke, but Tarantulas shoves it back into the mental closet. "Maybe you don't" he mutters back under his breath.
Super Montage Timeskip Crystal Power Go!
Terrence is hunched over a circuit board with a microscale manipulator and a spot welder. One eye is covered by a magnifying lens, and a microscope hooked up to a TV screen is perched over the circuit board, giving him two levels of magnification as he works.
This circuitry is critical, as it channels excess energy left over when the spark is extracted. If it doesn't work properly, the spark can be lost. He doesn't trust anyone else to assemble it.
He hums to himself as he works.

Raymond is by nature a humble being. He is willing to trust that Terrence can assemble that circuitry correctly. Raymond will double-check it, of course.
Instead, he is... examining the electronic door lock and frowning thoughtfully, the guts of the lock spilled in his hands.
Raymond doesn't make claw gestures anymore.

"Something wrong with the lock?" Terrence inquires over his shoulder, blue smoke rising from an intricate piece of circuitry as he applies his tiny tools.

"Yes. Someone else has been given access to this room," Raymond reports absently.

"What!? Who!? When!?" Terrence snaps, spinning around in his seat, inadvertently scattering several thousand dollars worth of delicate one-of-a-kind machinery over the floor. Microchips go clattering over the tiles into inaccessible corners, forever ruined.
This is his lair. He sleeps in here. (He's not supposed to, but he does. There's a pile of lab coats and paper towels under one of the benches that he curls up on.) They can't just be letting people in here! "This is Shockwave's doing! He's out to get me! She! Us!"

OOC: That would be a cue for Clio to show up if she still wants to.
Raymond reports when the extra code was added, but he admits, "I am not sure to whom the code belongs. I would need to, ah, do illegal things to the employee database to figure that out, and, ah, well, aside from the ethical issues, I do not really possess the skill to crack such a thing."
Victoria's security is more than Raymond can hack on his own.
