Periodic course adjustments should have Swerve and Arcee well on track to meet up with the rest of the Autobots converging on a general midpoint, and all is silence over the broadband frequency for a while until Perceptor once again break in. If Swerve thought Perceptor had been wordy before, he's likely about to get really cranky with the spate of exposition the scientist spouts off.
// For those of you unfamiliar with weather patterns on an organic world, the incoming potential precipitation is, most likely, nothing to be concerned about. Xaaron, Nightbeat, Swerve, I am unfamiliar with your Cybertron, however on the Cybertron which Synapse, Arcee, Omega Supreme and I come from, precipitation is highly acidic and dangerous to come into contact with. On an organic world such as this, precipitation is generally one physical state or another of dihydrogen oxide - water. Given the chemical composition of the flora and soil content noted thus far, while the inbound precipitation may contain some impurities, I believe such impurities will comprise a minuscule portion of the overall composition. I will verify as soon as I have obtained a sample for analysis, however, I believe the precipitation likely to be of no concern. Accompanying atmospheric phenomena, however, may pose some risk in the form of extreme electrical discharge and severe winds. //
Translation for everyone else? The rain is harmless. The potential storm may not be.

It's a characteristically abrupt radio burst from the Velocitronian.
//For the last time, I'm not from Cybertron, slaggit!// Yes, Swerve has forgotten, with his rising temper, that the only one he's told is Arcee. //Whatever, I've got other things t' worry about than this rain stuff.// And with a short, rude noise, he's off the airwaves again.

Not from Cybertron but knows of Primus? Curious.
//Swerve, please state your difficulties.//

//First off, I doubt that you can discern my age by mere vocal conduct. Second off, if you are having difficultiies, it is better that others know, that help or advice may be offered.//

He doesn't sound as old as Brakedown, sure, but he sounds rather older than Swerve.
//…Whatever. Just looking for some place to pick up a couple spare things.// He at least has the good sense not to use that epithet this time.

Long Haul, for the first time since arriving on this world, transmits on the Autobot frequency. The voice would probably be familiar to Arcee, although hearing it on this frequency would likely be a surprise. It likely means nothing to Swerve. The others know the story, anyway.
The tone is calm, but there's a controlled undercurrent of fear as well.
//Hold up, guys! He hasn't hurt me. Let him do what he needs to do.//

// Arcee, an explanation will be forthcoming, however I assure you that Long Haul is not a Decepticon. Please stand by. //
In contrast, Perceptor's voice is studiously calm. Too calm.

If it was possible to transmit frustration over a comm channel, Arcee was doing it now. //I'll just add that to my list of things that don't make sense today, then.//

// Precious little over the last two days has had the luxury of making sense for any of us, // Perceptor replies. Where Arcee has the market cornered on frustration, Perceptor's tone is more weary and resigned. Given when Arcee had come from, however, it's a tone she's heard quite recently from Perceptor as he pronounced the grave news over a mortally wounded Optimus Prime. // Additional study may yet yield us the knowledge and coherency we all crave. Until then, as inconvenient as it may seem, I urge patience. //

Some short while later, Perceptor once again breaks over the Autobot Broadband.
// Arcee, Swerve, may I have an update on your current position, please? Additionally, what is your current fuel status? We are planning our next course of action, which is contingent upon your estimated arrival and fuel status, // he inquires politely.

Swerve probably sounds a bit more civil than he did earlier. But just a bit.
//Some city… I dunno where, exactly, compared to you lot.// He tosses in the distance travelled from the location where he and Arcee first awoke, and the directions he assumes are correct. //Picking up some spare parts in case I need 'em. Got lucky and found a shop. My fuel's fine, dunno about Arcee's. I didn't check that while I was pokin' around under her hood.//

//I'm at about 62%, Perceptor,// Arcee responds. //Just needed to stop for a little maintenence. Didn't have time for anything after...//
She trails off. He'll know what she's talking about.
