Yeah. It was necessary to lay a hand on Jazz. He's just that stubborn.
And the dinged 'Bot didn't duck the grab, like he normally would have. Or at least he didn't complete the dodge attempt, since the much abused ankle has chosen that particular moment to give way. Stabbed through the ankle, and swung, followed by forced transformation and driving several miles on a half melted tire didn't do much for the joint. Neither did the edge of the wave from the storage explosion. Jazz is still running a little hot from dealing with that.
A string of curses in at least seven different languages excluding Cybertronian escapes the vocalizer, as Jazz falls sideways.
"Not gonna get torn in half again." The words produced another wince. Too much flying. Too many reminders. "That was an entirely different situation."
But with that busted ankle, Jazz is obviously not going to be able to do anything. Maybe his processors will catch up with that fact in a minute.

"Optimus Prime," Emirate Xaaron answers, his tone frosty. His expression is mostly neutral but slightly disapproving. It's not like his name is hard to remember, and the fact that this Optimus Prime has not the courtesy to remember his name in its entirety speaks of a slovenly, disorganised mind.
He looks over to Jazz and orders, "Get inside. Now."
To everyone assembled, he adds, "We'll be undermining the tunnels as we retreat. Our enemies, at the very least, will not be able to follow us."
Neither will Pee-Dee, if she's out there somewhere, alone. Emirate Xaaron bows his head and narrows his optics, arms dropping loosely to his sides. He's left men behind before. He'll do it again. This is just the first time the man he's left behind has been a woman.

"Sorry I can't remember. It's been... an unusual day for me." Prime shared a few radios with this guy at the onset, and a lot has happened since then.
At the implied revelation that there is a 'she' that is being abandoned, Optimus falls silent. The matter is a little too personal for him.
He stands up straight and stows his axe as he listens to what the next step is.

"You're right you're not gonna get torn in half, because you're not going back out there."
It's rough, Kup knows, but sometimes it's necessary to shut one or two out for the safety of all. Kup's been on the other side of those orders, too, such as when it was decided to move Autobot City into battlemode while he and Hot Rod were still outside. That's almost easier - all you've got to do is figure out a way to get to the others. You don't have to worry about having your companions on your conscious.
Sometimes you're the lock-in, and sometimes you're the lock-out.
"Look, I'll carry you if I have to." Then he turns to the others, expression sober. He nods towards Xaaron once and confirms, “Understood. So, I guess we head back in now." And with that, he turns and heads back to the Triage thread, carrying Jazz over his head if necessary.

He may not act like it most of the time, but Jazz is an officer. The tone of Xaaron's command would book no arguments. Questioning orders is one thing, disobeying them is another thing entirely. The decision to leave someone behind does not come lightly, no matter how it may look to an outsider. Jazz may not it, but .... when one is physically unable to walk without leaning on a wall, one is certainly not capable of sneaking through enemy territory. Especially with the warning pings in systems that need to shut down to repair themselves. And especially if one is not used to being silent. Jazz is not a scout or an operative. “Understood.” is a word that follows the last of those probably incomprehensible syllables. Kup might have recognized one or two. Unsilently, Jazz follows Kup, a little more obviously listing towards the wall now, but still mobile enough to make it on his danged own.

Emirate Xaaron went out of his way to introduce himself to Optimus Prime and explain the situation, and the best that the lad can muster is that he's sorry that he can't remember Emirate Xaaron's name? That's an extremely poor showing. Still, he may as well be merciful and remind the child, and he provides, "I am Emirate Xaaron, formerly of the Iacon Academy of Science and Technology, formerly the Chairman of the Iacon Council of Elders in the Celestial Spires, formerly the revolutionary leader on Cybertron, and currently, leader of the Autobots here, which is, I feel, much easier to remember."
Emirate Xaaron would like to be able to say that he feels terrible for leaving Pee-Dee behind, but he doesn't. They are doing what has to be done so that the majority will survive. How can he feel guilty about that? Others may have the luxury of feeling horrible about her abandonment, and they can even rage against his dispassion if they want. It's what he's there for - to be cold and collected, to be unmoved when others wish to weep.
Emirate Xaaron cannot afford tears, not even for a fallen friend, but the price of those tears will buy them needed time.
Out of thread, provided that everyone else moves. Otherwise, still here to shoo people.

Optimus nods at the reminding of Xaaron's name, and then his optics widen as he realizes he's dealing with the supreme Autobot commander on this planet. "Sir!" Optimus says, snapping to attention and saluting.
As talk of abandoning someone is going to be left outside is bandied about, Optimus is reminded of his training, and that sometimes these hard choices have to be made. You're told it's for the good of the cause. It grates on his motherboard now as much as it did then. But he doesn't know these Autobots, he keeps his thoughts to himself. For now, anyway.
Optimus follows the others to the Triage area.
And out.
