The familiar figure of Kup makes its way up onto the stage and then straight towards the podium. Once there, however, rather than standing behind it, he picks up the microphone and walks in front of it.
He grins at the audience, and starts, "You know, I have to say, this theater looks strikingly like the one on Brinlon Three." Then his grin gets a little wider, and a bit lopsided, and adds, "'Course, erm, the entertainments nothing like what was being hosted at that theater. If it was, we'd need someone to cover Holi's and Screwdriver's optics, ifyouknowwhatImean." And then he winks before he starts walking towards the left front edge of the stage.
"I'm supposed to present the 'Best Plot Character,' not that I'm entirely sure what that means, exactly. Judging from the data I have, though, it seems to be 'folks what aren't normally around,' since most the people on the list are alternate Autobots.
He stops, then starts walking along the edge of the stage towards the right side. "The first nominee is the alternate Emirate Xaaron, who, well, uhm, he..." Kup pauses, reaching one hand up to rub his chin. "You know what? He's here, and at least one person who's fond of him is here, so I think I'm going to keep that next bit to myself. Anyway, he's nominated."
Now Kup reaches the right edge, turns, and starts pacing the other way. "Second is Inquirata." The veteran stops halfway across the stage, optics wide, frowning. "Inquirata? Who the blazes is Inquirata?" He turns to look over the audience, frown still etched on his features, trying to see if anyone else knows. When no one gives an indication, he shakes his head and mutters, "Damned if that doesn't sound like a Quintesson name to me."
Then he resumes pacing. "After the tentacled slime ball we've got the non-tentacled slime ball, alternate Perceptor." Kup reaches the left edge of the stage, turns, and glowers right at the alternate Autobot. "Let me just say, permanent damage or not, you come up on this stage, and I'm giving you a lot more than any solder-shorting award! You got that?"
"And finally," Kup says, walking towards the center of the stage to stand, once more, in front of the podium, "we got the most decent individual of that bunch, alternate Swerve."
"And that's the nominees," he concludes, giving a moment for applause, commentary, boos, or other reactions before continuing.
