...wait, hold the communicator. Is Kup hitting on him? That's new... people don't often bother hitting on the angry, brooding little Datsun in the corner. Not that he encourages it -- why let someone get close to him in some way when they're just going to get ripped away again?
Besides, Kup is WAY too old for his tastes. And even though the spiked-energon-induced fog and that hand stroking his arm are a pleasant enough combination, he tries to wriggle free from Kup's grip.
" 'M fine," he insists. "I can walk."

Bah. But no one appreciates experience like they should.
"Oh, really?" Kup answers doubtfully to Bluestreak's insistence that he can walk. "Forgive me." And Kup begins to withdraw, to release his grip - though as he pulls his arms away, his fingers brush along back and front, and if they happen to stroke a bit harder against spots that Kup knows, from past experience, tend to be more sensitive on robots with a build-type similar to Bluestreak's? Well, surely it's just accidental.
Still, Kup does not release Bluestreak entirely. He seems to be checking to see if the carbot really can support himself, and if he starts to wobble again, Kup will be right there to support him.

Bluestreak flinches slightly as Kup's fingers brush sensitive areas on his chassis -- not in pain, no, but he's unused to such attentions. Most of the time when a mech is aiming for a sensitive spot, they're going for a painful or paralyzing jab or punch. A jab or punch he's usually happy to reciprocate -- just because he's a lousy melee fighter doesn't mean he doesn't throw himself into the thick of things on occassion...
Okay, CPU on the task at hand... he bites his lip as he tries to focus on standing, though that's a tricky task when his CPU keeps fuzzing out on him... He wobbles slightly, then straightens and remains standing, though it's obviously taking all his concentration to do so. There, that wasn't so hard...
He gives a triumphant grin, then attempts to shuffle away, still swaying as he goes. Wow... what was IN that stuff? Whatever it is, he wants another cube of it and a corner to pass out in...

"Very good," Kup murmurs grudgingly. He retrieves his own cube from where he had set it and narrows his optics.
So. Now is not the moment, but that doesn't mean tonight is not the night. Kup takes a sip and watches Bluestreak start to wander off. Let him go and find that other cube and that corner. And when he's done with the cube?
Then Kup will be back.

Unaware that Kup is watching him go, Bluestreak wobbles off to the drink table, grabs another cube, and wanders off. By the time he finds a place to crash for the night half that cube will be spilled down his chestplate, but at this point if it gets him overcharged, he doesn't give a frag.
Out of thread. If someone wants to stop to talk to/harrass/pick a fight with Bluestreak-3, PM me and we can start a new thread. Otherwise it can be assumed that he passes out for the night somewhere.

Kup watches him go, then takes a long sip of his drink and shrugs. Sometimes, you just can't get what- or who- you want out of life. What is that old saying? Oh, yes. 'If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it is yours. If it doesn't...
...hunt it down and kill it.'
Bluestreak might just find his life a bit more unpleasant in the near future. Kup grins over such thoughts, and wanders elsewhere around the party.
OOC: Thread is being kept open a little while longer to give someone else the chance to interact if they want, and then closed.

Somehow, in wandering into dark corners to avoid anyone of import, Dead End found himself next to Kup. His visor flickered violet as he regarded the next obstacle to negotiate in this exercise of "Surviving the Victory Party". The dark red and silver-white Stunticon--of course he'd gotten the grime cleaned off his chassis and polished up before the party--sipped a perpetually half-empty cube as he studied the Autobot subleader.
The other was much smoother, more polished than the Kup Dead End had fought. This one seemed to take the same care with his appearance as a Stunticon, and did not suffer dents and scuffs to mar his finish. Or perhaps he was a coward where the other was brave and simply avoided battle and other such occasions to damage his good looks.
This Dead End differed rather severely from the one Kup would have fought; that Dead End carried a sword, and did not hide his face behind an expressionless mask and visor.
"So what does this all mean to you?" Dead End asked, gesturing at the area in front of him with his cube.

If this Kup is more a coward than his other, it's that he's more a moral coward. Still formidable on the battlefield, but when granted a choice between right and comfort, Kup chose comfort.
Kup studies Dead End. Such a pretty car, and if he's like his alternate, a pretty face hid behind that mask. Too bad it's marred by that purple emblem, but still, fair enough company for the moment. He's not so far gone as Bluestreak was, however, and Bluestreak's rejection was frustrating enough.
Best to tread lightly.
Kup looks out over the party. "Very restrained," he observes, taking a drink. "Despite the... probably enhancements to the energon, this is quite restrained, as Autobot celebrations go." He sloshes the drink around in the cube, watching it for a moment, before adding, "It's because of the alliance. The balance is perceived as delicate, and no one wants to be the one to upset that balance, so this becomes less a celebration." He gives a long sigh, and adds, "Pity. Planning for the future shouldn't mean sacrificing the moment."

"Indeed," said Dead End in that bored-English-aristocrat drawl. "Such a waste, sacrificing what fleeting pleasures one can snatch for a future that will probably never arrive. Pointless and aimless, like most of existance."
Dead End stared at his cube for a moment, visor flickering slightly. He could have been watching the death struggles of some small insect that had alighted in the volatile fuel, or admiring the play of light on the surface film.
"Both factions have been ordered to 'play nice' with each other for now, though everyone knows the inevitable end of such an alliance," Dead End said wearily. "This... enhancement seems to make emotions more vivid--too many people probably want to kill each other to restrain it for long. Thus, the apparent 'walking on eggshells'--a futile effort. Someone is going to lose control sooner or later, and the floor will be running with energon and littered with smoking wrecks."
"No one wants to be the first, and thus the scapegoat," Dead End added as an afterthought. "A pointless fear; the scapegoat will be whoever your Prime and Starscream decide it is to be."

Kup, for his part, is not shying away from drinking from his cube, though he's taking it slowly. "Well, if the fear's pointless, surely you don't harbor it," he says, tone teasing, a crooked grin playing at his lips.
"But if the future is baring down on us so quickly," and Kup, for one, doesn't believe it is, though his gives no indication of this in his voice, "do you intend to, oh, how did you put it, 'sacrifice what fleeting pleasures you can snatch,' or will do you plan to instead enjoy the moment." The smile turns into a grin, and he lifts his cube a little higher. His voice, a bit smoother than his counterpart's, anyway, now takes on a light and more obviously teasing tone. "Well, I say 'plan,' but 'planning' should have only a minimal involvement if the object is to take pleasure in the now, shouldn't it?"

Dead End tilted his head slightly and fixed his visored gaze on Kup. "Why bother? We're all doomed; the only question is when and how. Ultimately, even those questions are a matter of petty curiousity, meaningless once those who would ask them are rusting scrap."
"Why would I want to 'sacrifice' anything? I'm not an Autobot--no offense to present company intended," Dead End replied, his visor brightening slightly. This Kup was curiously interested in talking to him, and in the topic of pleasure. Just where was he going with it?
"Planning is best forgone, if one seeks temporary pleasure. 'Planning' includes risk analysis, and that is an immediate awareness of how it all will go wrong. Rather spoils the purpose of pleasure, which is to distract one's mind from such programs." Dead End continued to sip his cube with a certain determination, as if he meant to finish it at a prescribed time and no sooner.

Hmm. Dead End likes to talk. Unfortunately, a good deal of what Dead End likes to talk about isn't exactly conducive to romantic intrigue - or even just a single fling. On the other hand, uncomfortable silences are not particularly useful, either. Best to keep up the chit-chat.
"Oh, no offense taken," Kup answers calmly, even adding a friendly smile to it. "I know you're used to dealing with a... different breed of Autobot than us.
As Dead End continues to talk, Kup watches him intently, optics half-lidded and faint smile implying that he's enjoying what he's seeing. He takes a long sip, taking in the other's form at the same time, taking his words in as well, an attentive listener. And once Dead End is finished, he smiles, his cube reflecting off his well-shined features, and asks, "So tell me, what's your pleasure?"

Dead End neither likes nor dislikes talking; however, Kup asked polite questions, and Dead End politely answered. It rarely occurred to him that his general tone and topic were just a trifle... offputting. 'We're all doomed and death comes as the end' just inspired comradery and romance, didn't it?
Dead End considered the rather shiny Autobot, who was obviously considering him. Kup's questions are definitely on a theme, here... Was the Autobot trying to seduce him? Did he want to be seduced?
"That depends on the situation... and the people involved," Dead End said slowly, still studying Kup intently. "What does an Autobot like yourself find pleasurable?"

"Well..." Kup grins widely, finishing off his cube. He gazes at Dead End, "I must say I presently find the view pleasurable."
The grin fades into a faint smiles. "As with you, my pleasures depend on the situation and the people, but I have enjoyed a few... dalliances in my time." He pauses, and turns his attention towards the almost vanished sun. "To be honest, though, I take pleasure in a partner's pleasure." It's that feeling of control, being in command. And, well, a side-effect of being thick-armored.

Don't want to interfere with Shockwave and his date any longer. That would be... disrespectful. Besides, it's time that Needlenose give someone else the chance to bask in his glory.
Somewhere between there and here, Needlenose has lost his half-cube, but that's probably for the best.
"Good evening, gentlemechs," he purrs, stumbling slightly at the last syllable. "And how are you two enjoying this glorious night?"
