Kup leads the group off the space plane, though he is, perhaps, not near so eager to be in the front as his alternate would have been. Once off of Skyfire, he crouches and moves to his knees. He scans the horizon - from here, they're not too far from the crater. The politician draws his acid musket and frowns.
"They probably already know we're here, but I don't see why we should just dive into the middle of their trap." He turns back towards Ironfire. "This is within your range, isn't it?" he asks.

Holi's in no hurry to get down the ramp; he's been toted into a war zone, after all. One of his least favourite places to be. Oh, he's discreet about hovering behind larger bodies, but hover he does. He'll take what cover he can get out in BFE.
"Of course not, sir," he answers Kup, loud enough to be heard if anyone cares to listen but not loud enough to stick out. No sense barging headlong into a trap, nope. Then he quiets down because the big people are talking.
Those paying attention might note his pistol isn't the one he came to this Gillanan III with while he handles it nervously. His resolute expression does a lot to make those nerves look more like an anxiousness to go shoot people.

Bambi is loathe to leave the inside of the white jet, but really, she is loathe to do anything. In robot mode, she struts out behind Holi-3 - always at least three steps behind him. Call it the respect of a servant. Call it her lack of desire to do anything useful. Calling it truly is the tricky part.
She murmurs, very quietly, in response to Skyfire's dry remark, "This is one dromaeosaurid that has no intention of going extinct." Perhaps she will go unheard; she cares not if she does.
Kup has not addressed her, and she has no intention of advising that scum, despite what she knows of traps. For one thing, if she suggests that springing the trap with something worthless might be an idea, she would expect it would be her neck deemed worthless.

Shortly after Skyfire-3's 'cargo' unloads itself, a distant figure can be spotted flying over the sands from the same general direction that Rodimus Prime-3 is coming. Having started out a bit later, from a different angle, and frequenly zigging around terrain that Prime-3 zagged around, Hellbender and his shiny new rifle are rather trailing Prime's arrival and not showing up at exacly the same spot.
Hellbender has an almost dopey smile on his face; he's flying! Only in his robot mode, and he's even less aerodynamic than his old Cybertronian fighter-bomber form, but he can feel the wind in his face and the lack of earth touching his feet...
Hellbender feels more.. awkward than he'd expected to, flying on lifters and thrusters instead of wings, like at any moment he'll lose his balance and fall down. A sense of being exposed, hanging out in the open for all to see without rock and earth to shelter him crawls along his circuits from time to time; he stays close to the earth, only half again a Seeker's height or so.
He still doesn't look up at the sky. It's too deep, too indigo-dark. A 'bot could fall up into that infinity and never been heard from again.
Hellbender cradles a certain sniper rifle protectively in his arms.
"How you holdin' up, Eye-fire?" (He still pronounces it more like 'Aaah-faaayr')

"Not the most scenic flight I've ever had, but that's probably more to do with my design than your flying." He says, his mind on other things.
Such as exactly how he's going to kill the a devil incarnate.

Good, they're all out of his hold and off his ramps. Skyfire-3 transforms and unlimbers his double-barreled proton cannon.
"Keep your optics open and don't forget to look up. Our Cons are here, too, so we're going to have a jet plague sooner or later," he says, stepping up behind Ironfire and Kup. Skyfire-3 has absolutely no intention of going anywhere near the probable ambush.
Besides, someone needs to watch Ironfire's back.

Standing shortly behind Kup, Ironfire looks out across the battlefield. She does a quick range calculation, then nods. "Should be, sir. I'll get set up then."
Ironfire steps forward and shifts into her tank form. Then, the secondary transformation begins, and her support struts fold out.

Kup nods and makes sure that Ironfire has a clear line of fire. He smiles.
"I would guess they already know we're coming anyway, radio jamming or no, but even so, I believe it would only be polite of us to knock first." So he gestures to Ironfire, smile widening. "So knock away when ready, lass." Then he transforms. "But do watch that you don't fall short. You others, we'll try to approach while their attention is focused on Ironfire. Transform and roll out."
His own engine starts, and he begins heading down the mesa.

Oh, for– Stupid old fart. Charge right on in, sure!
But Holi doesn't say these things because that would be incredibly stupid of him. Kup may be a stupid old farty government lapdog like Riker, but Kup is also a larger, tougher, stronger, and better-armed old farty government lapdog.
"Right behind you, sir," Holi says instead, very pleasantly, before tucking away his pistol and easing into vehicle mode. He starts after the truck, following at a guesstimated safe distance – far enough to have room for bolting if things turn south, but close enough that he mightn't be too easily separated from something that amounts to safety. He expects Bambi can run fast enough to keep up. She doesn't exactly look slow.

Bambi has a top speed around 45 MPH as a dinosaur. She's really kind of slow. She narrows her optics and debates. She can't roll out in either mode, so maybe she can just stay in robot mode? Her thunder lizard mode is so... so... beastly! She hates it so.
Sighing, much put-upon, she collapses down into her dinosaur form and starts to run. It's pretty clear that the cars and trucks and whatnot will leave her in the dust, but such is a life. Maybe she can just wander off when they get too far ahead of her.

//Um, Misfire's down and out. He's hurt pretty badly. I'm currently playing hide and go seek with Optimus Prime. Help?//
Hellbender tilts his head slightly at the transmission, and idly thinks that it's nice to have a head to tilt. His grip on Eye-fire tightens ever so slightly. Misfire is one of his own, from his own Cybertron. Loyalty means you back up your own people.
"Eye-fire, Ah reckon Misfire and Aimless could use a hand or somethin'. Let's go find him, shall we?" Hellbender changes his course slightly, though he doesn't quite know where the wayward jet was.
// This here is Hellbender. Ah think Ah'm somewhere nearby. Y'all got some coordinates for me, or maybe a landmark? // he replies.
---- OOC: Hellbender is flying out of thread that-a-way in search of Misfire. Eye-fire's player has agreed to have Eye-fire carried by Hellbender for a bit (until Shockwave's orders kick in).

Skyfire-3 unlimbers his double-barrelled proton cannon and stands near Ironfire, apparently idle. He's actually scanning the horizon and the sky for movement; if anything comes at Ironfire, he intends to shoot it down.
Sure, he could go flying around--and if he spots the imposter with his shape, he will--but with Decepticon jets in the air, and backwards Slingshot, he'd rather not make himself a big building-size flying target. Healthier by far to hang around the heavy armor and big guns.

The support struts finalize their positions and the turret shifts to long-range mode. Ironfire's turret swivels into position, ready to commence bombardment.
"All set."
And to those in the target zone, fire rains from the sky

Kup doesn't exactly charge directly in. Oh, his alternate might, but Kup, though he rolls in that direction, keeps his path slow and cautious, keeping as much cover between him and their destination as possible. Given that his own top speed is only 100 mph and he's advancing much, much below this, even Bambi should be able to keep up.
"I see that malfunction of a jet overhead, but nothing else," Kup observes as he slows behind yet more cover. He then pulls to a stop. "We'll wait here a moment. No sense in moving in /before/ Ironfire's had a chance to cause a little chaos." There's a pause. "I would have thought Long Range would also have begun bombardment by now." His voice lowers as he adds, "Reliability typical of those Decepticon hooligans."

Holi isn't charitable enough to offer a lift even if Bambi needs it. Maybe – maybe – if she was a Micromaster. A cute one. But at this snail's pace, he doesn't much care. He could probably run it on his own two feet if he tried.
"No kidding," Holi chimes in as he tucks up a length or so from the truck, and he doesn't have to fake the violent distaste in his voice. In this universe or their own, Decepticons are all the same. Lying, two-faced good-for-nothings. Some just couch it in nobility and sweet words, and that makes them even worse. A road paved with good intentions and all that. "So what're we doing? Sir?"
