Starscream arrives in time to see the blast strike through Rodimus. He doesn't immediately identify it as a blast from Eye-Fire, until Shockwave radios information in.
"WHAT?!!" Yes, he does yell that, in anger.
His choices are limited. He doesn't want to open fire yet, but neither does he want to immediately 'aid' the Prime.
So instead he circles above the air, waiting to see how things play out.

There is a Starscream in the area that is less indecisive. Unfortunately he is also much more damaged too.
But he is certainly undamaged enough to fire a barrage of Cluster Missiles at the evil Prime.
OOC: Still in thread.

Racing to the evil Prime is a fire engine, one with scrapes along its paneling.
Optimus is completely outclassed here, and he knows it. But he'll blasted if he's going to just sit back when other Autobots are going to engage this evil Rodimus Prime head on.
No sirens are blazing, even though this is clearly an emergency. Optimus approaches the crater as fast as he can.

Eye-Fire is, for the moment, stunned. He saw his shot fire true, he saw it impact and he saw it burn right through the Prime. And yet, the monster still lives.
Eye-Fire is paralyzed with indecision. He won't get another shot, the crater is about to become far too chaotic for him to do any sniping with a hope of succeeding, but he knows he must not fail Shockwave and by extension Starscream and the entire Decepticon cause in this mission. He receives Starscream's shout over the broadband and tenses up. A wave of fear engulfs him as he begins to wonder if Starscream knew about his mission, or if Shockwave ever really ordered him to do this and not some voice in his head.
He transforms back into robot mode and has a final glance down at the evil Prime, and a wave of fanatical zeal replaces the fear as he realizes Starscream wasn't shouting at him because he didn't know about this, but because Eye-Fire had failed. Leaping from his perch in a rocky outcrop, Eye-Fire hits the sand running, his destination the crater. He will personally present Starscream the Prime's head and no one shall stop.
//I shall not fail you, my lord, not again. I shall return with a trophy fit for your station.// Eye-Fire transmits over broadband, his voice still calm.

Slam, bam, hit the fan - there's a big black semi-truck barreling over from side of the crater. He's pretty obvious. Scourge's cover was blown when Kup fell into the pit. There's no point in hiding who is or where he's coming from.
For those trying to differentiate him from his alternate, he's rather dusty and unkempt, where the normal Scourge tends to keep himself polished.

Demon Prime arriving, check. The Imperial Prince arriving, check. Time for Dead End-3 to do his duty.
Dead End-3 charges up out of the shadows of the meteor, firing his vehicular blasters at the evil Rodimus, then peels off and zooms up the side of the crater after the Prime passes out of his arc of fire. He'll decide what to do when he reaches the top of the crater if he survives to get there.
Though he does not expect to survive this battle, Dead End has no intention of getting killed this early. He simply hasn't done enough yet, and his job includes protecting Starscream, which he can't do if terminated. Now is the time for hit-and-run, weave and dodge, don't let the enemy get a fire control lock...

Duskwing-3 flies toward the battle at a fuel-conserving cruise. His fight with the other Skystrike had been more than a little energy-intensive, and this was not the time to earn himself Yet Another Reprimand for allowing himself to run out of fuel halfway through the mission. As Duskwing would tell you if asked, he's not a total dummy.
He'll get there Real Soon Now.

Rodimus is under fire. Ironfire can see that from here. Heh. How much real damage can they do?
Enough to get him mad at her if she doesn't provide support, of course. And so she steers into the crater, explosive shells flying here and there, wherever there is obviously enemy movement. It can be so hard to tell.
Wouldn't it just be a shame if some 'friendlies' took damage, too?
Ironfire keeps her sensors open for cover. That would be useful.

Post by Makeshift on Dec 10, 2008 7:38:58 GMT -5
Sitting under his shelf, Makeshift's gun barrels rotate slowly, the closest he can make to a nervous shuffle in gun mode. This entire situation is getting to him; enemies wearing the faces of allies, an evil Prime (and one that isn't an Evil Black Repaint, no less), and radio silence on top of it all. He wants to take his shot and be on his way out, to keep moving and doing something, not just sit here in the dust.
First, though, he has to wait for the range. Even as they rotate, his guns follow the evil Prime down the crater, twitching as Kup gets thrown aside, watching all the others taking shots at him...
Now!
Six railgun shots are fired in rapid succession, carefully aimed on the Prime's current descent path. Of course, should the Prime move aside, it might not mean anything anyway, but Makeshift is already moving before he even considers that, transforming to robot mode and boost-jumping into another crevice. He hits the ground running, ducking under a hail of pebbles from one of Ironfire-3's shells and bolting for cover, consulting his maps for a spot to take another shot from.
Out of rotation, but still in the crater. Anyone else using the rock ledges and crevices may run into Makeshift if they so choose; otherwise skippable.

The bottom edge of Kup's frame is grasped, and without warning he's quite suddenly flung around and into the side of the crater. The veteran transforms in the air to try to soften his impact, but the Prime had put an incredible amount of force behind that blow, and he's still left stunned and off-balance when he himself begins to slide down the crater with considerably less grace than the alternate Rodimus, larger rocks following behind...
OOC: Skippable for awhile.

Post by Rodimus Prime-3 on Dec 10, 2008 22:04:03 GMT -5
Rodimus moves from 'seated' to a roll as Starscream's cluster missiles begin to fall around him, though the move only takes him so far. One hits his right shoulder, leaving it badly dented, the armor pulling away at the edges, that side of his spoiler mangled. Some of the others, however, blow when they get /near/, rather than awaiting impact. His battle wagon stops firing on the opposite wall to lift up and fire at Starscream (the one that just finished the attack run) instead, but doing so costs it, and it begins to slide forward, tipping over the crater ledge.
Despite attempts to dodge, he catches several of Dead End's blasts directly in his chest and a few of Makeshift's shots across the shoulders, and with each shot that lands the aura of darkness around him flares thicker, while they leave behind their marks - dents, scourings, and worse. Still, he does not return fire at those two, instead focusing an electroblast shot at the oncoming Scourge.
Some of the other new arrivals, he either hasn't noticed yet or has not yet had a chance to respond to them.

And now Eye-Fire is charging. Sigh.
Starscream fires standard laser blasts at Eye-Fire in the hope of helping him realize that, well, he is being insane. If this doesn't discourage him, the Null Rays are coming ou--hey.
That jet over there looks a lot like him.

Indeed that jet does look like him. It doesn't hurt that, well, that other jet is him.
"You have got to be kidding me." The 'good' Starscream says. He shifts his trajectory and offers some blaster fire of his own at his alternate. Unfortunately that maneuver costs him, as he catches a blast on his fuselage.
OOC: Optimus is skipping for the moment.

Post by Phobia/Pierce Fobster on Dec 13, 2008 16:33:29 GMT -5
The dust is the only thing that really announces Phobia's arrival outside of the smooth hum of his engines but that was easily drowned out by the noises of the battle ensuing in the crater. Grimy, shifty, clingy and disgusting dust that he could've easily just crept over to avoid getting any on himself than what was strictly necessary, but Starscream's order demanded that he speed up.
The price for speed was dust. Everywhere. He could just about feel the tiny grains slowly embed themselves under his paint and begin their evil, nasty job of cutting away at his joints with their little edges. It was all Phobia could do not to squirm on his tires at the imagined sensations.
Luckily, the cycle of self destructive thoughts were broken when a stray shot of laser sizzled past his windshield. Phobia abruptly realized he'd just arrived at the given coordinates and took a moment to assess the situation on hand before making his presence known over the Decepticon radio.

Override bursts into the scene, roaring out of the hiding place she had found after Duskwing had left earlier. She has little choice - the Prime's attacks against the crater walls means she'd have to move soon, anyway.
She roars down one wall, picking up speed all the way. At the bottom of the 'bowl' she summons her cyber key and, shaking off the odd feeling due to the needs of the moments, starts climbing the bowl on the other side at near top speed, firing at the Prime as she passes!
As fast as she's going, she's there and gone before very many people can even react, and in mere moments she's cleared the top ledge and is circling around the outside of the crater, but otherwise...
Skippable
