Bumblebee was planning on giving him more than a headache. Midnight might be heavily armoured but Bumblebee had time.
At least, that's what he thought he had. It's no fair when the prey turns out to be not as victimized as they first thought. The rock slips and falls, possibly landing on Midnight, and Bumblebee is unceremoniously colliding mid-air into Needlenose.

"Hooargh!"
Springer catches the punch in the gut, as he wasn't quite counting on Needlenose countering so quick.
And that causes him to soon find himself on his face in the dirt, thanks to Needlenose's sweep kick. A low grumble, and he staggers back up just in time to see the busted-old-Camaro-bot collide with Needlenose. Springer steps out of the way of any tumbling the Autobot-3 may do off of Needlenose, putting his pistol away, and pulling out his main rifle, aiming it at the pair as he scoots back a bit, throwing up a cocky grin.
"Alright, boys, that's enough out of you two. As you can tell, your best was not enough to take down my friend here, so if I were you, I'd consider coming along quietly." Springer brings his rifle to bear. "However, if you choose to continue stirring up trouble...then I suppose you'll get to find out why I'm so fond of using 'Wreck and rule!' as a battle cry."

A vaguely purple and extremely fast moving shape makes a beeline for the skirmish occurring between mortal foes. This is Blitzwing being fashionably late to the party, which Needlenose might appreciate if he wasn't being held at gun point. The real reason has more to do with getting slightly lost and being a little lazy, but the point is that he's here now and ready to break something.
And not too soon either, as he spots what he assumes to be Needlenose pinned down by something yellow and held at gun point by something green with something black behind the green one.
//The mighty Needlenose losing a battle? Need me to come and tilt the scales in your favor? I'll be sure not to tell anyone. Oh wait, I did.// Blitzwing broadcasts over the Decepticons broadband as he streaks toward the stricken Mayhem.
Dropping low to the desert floor as he approaches, Blitzwing fires off a burst with his energy blasters at Springer and Midnight-3 before quickly transforming into robot mode as he passes over, trying to catch both of the in this strafing run. He really should have verified exactly who they were, but whats the fun in that?
Landing hard, he sends a shower of sand into the sky as he draws both his Gyro-Blaster and Electron Scimitar. Time to show these sad excuses for Autobots how its really done.

"Oh, please! Last time I surrendered to an Autobot, they used me as a guinea pig without my consent! I couldn't transform for months! No, thanks! I've trusted myself to Autobot 'mercy' for the last time!"
As Needlenose argues, he is working to free himself from beneath Bumblebee, moving in such a way to keep Bumblebee between him and Springer as much as possible. This turns out to be a handy thing as Blitzwing flies overhead, because it also has Bumblebee more or less between him and Blitzwing's attack, though he still has to duck his head once while totally free. "Hey, watch it!" he snaps as he summons a more standard pistol from subspace.
Two transforming guns, a subspaced gun, and in alternate mode, photon missiles. One would think that Needlenose were compensating for something.

Bumblebee-3's boulder did land on one of Midnight-3's toes with a 'clang!', he kicked it aside as he waded into the fight. He couldn't jump around like Springer, but he was in a really bad mood and wanted a piece of Needlenose bad. Lots of pieces. All over the place.
And that yellow slagger Bumblebee was in his way again! Midnight was getting really tired of that particular piece of Autobot trash; he grabbed him by the struts again and hurled him aside, uncaring where the yellow thug landed.
Perhaps Midnight-3 would have cared if he'd known what Bumblebee-3's orders were, and that he'd just hurled the Autobot dangerously close to Zigzag's hiding place....
The new arrival almost distracted Midnight from his target--what the slag was Blitzwing doing here? And whose Blitzwing? Communications had been still jammed even before his radio and vocalizer got fried. Damage control was getting radio circuits switched over, but not yet, and he'd heard nothing about whether or not the Blitzer was coming over before the fight.
His Blitzer wasn't usually so careless of firing on allies, though. If this was some fragged-up, twisted version of Blitzwing like the rest of the Other Cons, it'd take him and Springer both to take him down.
All the more reason to dismantle Needlenose right now. Midnight lunged, smoke still seeping from his burned-out cockpit, grabbing for the nearest Needlenose body part.

Bumblebee is getting used as cover by one Decepticon from the assault fire of another. It's getting very hard to honour this treaty...
..but thankfully Rodimus has given him the out he needs. And of the three Decepticons here, it's the Midnight from his Gillanan that throws him towards Sunbeam (not Zigzag). Thanks, Midnight!
Bumblebee gets up from the toss, leaving more superficial damage than anything to worry about, looking as natural as he can. He remembers hearing there is some sort of connection between targetmasters and their pets, so an outright killing isn't going to be subtle. Sadly, he's never had to take out but not kill an organic before. He quickly flits through his datafiles from earth that he acquired for adequate ways to--ah. Concussion.
Acting casual, he turns to the fight, as if looking for the right opportunity to rejoin the fray. Then, taking efforts to ensure the others are suitably distracted so they cannot see him, he swings to strike Sunbeam on the back of the head with his weapon arm. Hard, but not Transformer hard. Just pathetic little meat-man hard.

"Aw, I'd like to think we'd treat you a little better than tha--Ghack!"
Springer's witty retort is cut off by the intrusion of Blitzwing, causing Springer to recoil, catching a blast in the side, but nothing he can't shrug off for now. The Wrecker shakes his head, audibly sighing. "I swear to Primacron, I never knew I was this popular..."
Springer draws his sword and a pistol, lazily aiming the gun in Blitzwing's direction, taking a few potshots at his upper body, mostly aiming for his face. Maybe he'll luck out and take out the optics...but probably won't.

So, Springer has chosen to fight the real threat, and the Midnight knock off has gone for the soft option of going for Needlenose. The Bumblebee thing... is doing something. Blitzwing could care less. Now, its not that Blitzwing hates Needlenose or anything, its just that he doesn't know him. Maybe once Needlenose has shown to Blitzwing that he's got more than a fancy title and a spooky boyfriend*, maybe then he'll back off. Maybe.
Rising up from one knee where he landed, Blitzwing takes a shot to his shoulder and neck, leaving blackened armour and annoying Blitzwing some more. Charging springer, Blitzwing fires at him with his gyro-blaster, hoping to score a few hits and put Springer off balance before he closes to scimitar range.

Needlenose's right wing, already bent out of shape, is grabbed by Midnight's lunge. "Oh, by Link's sword," the Mayhem grumbles as he twists to blast Midnight over the shoulder...
...at which point he suddenly cries out in pain, worse, even, then when he himself had been damaged, as Sunbeam is knocked rather abruptly unconscious. "Sunbeam!" he shouts, concerned and frightened. Now, he starts to fire frantically and begins to squirm, trying desperately to get away from Midnight so he can find his partner.

Midnight-3 jerks his head to one side; the laser burns the side of his helm just above the audial pickup, producing a burst of static in already degraded circuits.
He snarls silently and yanks hard at Needlenose's wing; maybe it will come off in his hand, maybe the rest of Needlenose will come with it. His gripping fingers curl like claws, anticipating more mayhem. Or Mayhem.
"Sunbeam!" he shouts--
Sunbeam? Isn't that one of Needlenose's Nebulons? Midnight suddenly has a bad feeling about this...

Oh Sunbeam! Bloo bloo bloo, Sunbeam!
Bumblebee wants to wretch up brake fluid at all this sentiment. As it is, playing it cool means he cannot take out Needlenose. Yet. Time to run interference.
Two missiles extend and are fired at Midnight, the person who threw him out by Sunbeam in the first place. He charges towards him, getting ready to follow through with the assault.

As Blitzwing nears Springer, he leaps into the air and over Springer, transforming into his tank mode. Springer can wait or Needlenose can snap out of it and do something about the Wrecker , but currently the alternate Midnight warrants the most attention.
Hitting the desert sand like the fist of a Guardian, Blitzwing charges Midnight, firing his main cannon twice as he does. He'll either force the jet former in to the sky or crash him under his treads.

Gah, so sorry guys. Been trying to get my computer back up to speed after I finally got internet access back. Re-acquiring all my old stuff is a pain, but I'm good to go now. ----------
Springer to get hit a few times by the Gyro Blaster, having underestimated the weapon a bit. The impact causes him to lose his equilibrium and tumble across the desert, landing on his back. Once he gathers his senses and realizes what just happens, Springer then finds himself leapt over like a hurdle.
Well, that's not encouraging. Getting up and turning around, he peppers the back end of Blitzwing's tank form with his rifle, running after him. "HEY! Pick on someone on your own level of functionality, why don't you?"
Once he draws close to the other triple-changer, Springer leaps up into the air, fairly high this time. He yells on his way down, extending his legs and aiming to drop on top of Blitzwing, hoping to get his attention away from Midnight-3.

OOC: Welcome back, Springer. Needlenose screams once more as his wing is ripped off by Midnight, the shrieking of rending metal filling the desert as it is. In the process is flung forward into the blackened dirt. He starts to pull himself up again, then sees that both Bumblebee and Blitzwing running towards Midnight. Deciding he doesn't want to be the bottom of yet another multi-Transformer pile-up, Needlenose instead attempts to scramble out of the way, still on all fours.

Watching Needlenose get the tar beaten out of him and doing absolutely nothing would be a real jerk move.
So Spinister probably hasn't been watching and doing nothing the whole time.
He might have been doing just that, though.
Spinister feels people need more mystery in their lives.
He doesn't appear out of nowhere. people ask questions when people appear out of nowhere. Instead, he appears from behind a perfectly boring and ordinary rock outcropping, Singe the flamethrower in his hand. He holds the flamethrower out at the messy pile, but he certainly doesn't open fire - merely, he threatens to do so, if the pile doesn't clear out.
Hairsplitter is not with him. Hairsplitter, ever the more attentive of Spinister's guns, is in his Nebulan mode and is out looking for Sunbeam. He, in some weird fractal thing, has his own sniper rifle out - it's tiny, of course, but his aim is very good.
OOC: I'm assuming this is an open thread? If anyone has a problem with Spinister being here, let me know, and I'll delete this post.
