Gullible? Oh no, Shockwave does not think this Emirate to be gullible, not at all. Testing, though, always testing is Shockwave.
A pity he no longer has the time for such luxuries.
Dead End's approach is far from silent or stealthy. The gunformer takes to the air to avoid being rammed. "One half to conquer, one half to hold. Why would I not condone their behaving according to their function? It is the schism between the halves that bothers me, not the morals of either." While Shockwave does not bother firing upon Dead End- force fields and all that-, the purple Decepticon does fire at the ground before and around the Stunticon. Just enough to keep Dead End off balance. And perhaps cut a hole for a tire to fall into.
Shockwave hears the incoming barrage just before Duskwing's radio warning. "And it seems our discussion must end. Rest assured, I have enjoyed the time. Do try not to take this personally, Emirate."
Shockwave transforms and fires, not at Xaaron, but just beside him. With luck, the force of the blast will tilt the tank over. The Giant Purple Space Gun of Doom then turns his attention to clearing himself a path through Ironfire's barrage.
OOC:Shockwave is not out of thread yet, but will be on his next turn.

Shockwave tries to shoot the road out from under Dead End's onrushing wheels. Really, does the Guardian of Cybertron take him for an amateur? Dead End is a Stunticon, not some green Autobot fresh out of Vector Sigma's chamber. Besides, Sunstreaker tried that trick a few times too.
Dead End swerves, avoiding the larger holes and sails over the smaller ones. He tries to adjust his trajectory to catch Shockwave in the air, but Shockwave's transformation suddenly presents him with a far different sillouhette, and he misses the floating space gun by mere feet.
Dead End-3 lands and skids in to a bootlegger reverse, killing his speed and winding up facing the reverse of the way he was charging, now behind Shockwave. At rest, he transforms, draws his two-handed katana and jumps in a (lifter-assisted) flying leap, intent on hewing Shockwave across the narrowest part of his gun barrel.

Neither conquest nor holding are what Primus intended for His children, Emirate Xaaron knows.
They were meant to die, to die in their Father's stead, to kill Chaos that the Lord of the Light might finally be free of his eternal enemy.
Does Emirate Xaaron like this? No. Does he accept it? No.
All the same, it is so.
As the tanks starts to tip over from the blast, he fires. He might hit something. He might hit the wall. He might even hit Shockwave. He might hit nothing at all.
At least Dead End is competent.

Shockwave knows why they were created, and who they are to fight. But Shockwave can not acknowledge that fact, not even to himself. To acknowledge such would be fatalistic, admitting that they are all just pawns, cogs in the wheel, with no real choice.
And the Lord of Order will rail against that truth until his dying day.
His exchange with the Prime had at least succeeded in stopping the barrage, which means Dead End and the Emirate now have Shockwave's full attention once again. The Emirate's wild shot scorches the gunformer's barrel as it just misses. And now Shockwave has one Dead End a'leaping- with a sword.
How...unexpected.
Shockwave fires on the Stunticon, no longer pulling punches. Without waiting to see what damage he does, Shockwave darts off. He supposes he should rescue the defective Seeker. He still wants a sample of that meteorite, but is canny enough to not go for it at the moment. Let the Prime spring the trap.
And unless something major happens, the Giant Purple Space Gun of Doom is out of thread.

Dead End-3's leap and swing is rudely aborted by Shockwave's massive laser blast, which slams directly into the Stunticon's chest and hurls him back to crash against the crater wall. He slides to the ground, electricity crackling and smoke curling around him--yet his paint is only faintly scorched.
A few moments after Shockwave departs, Dead End stirs and staggers erect.
"He burnt out my forcefields," is all he says.

Emirate Xaaron transform back to his robot mode with a piteous creak. Shaking off the ache, he looks over at Dead End with pity in his optics. People always get injured for Emirate Xaaron, whatever he does, wherever he goes. He still doesn't accept it. At least the Stunticon is still alive. better than some.
He urges, "Be careful with yourself, Dead End!"

Dead End-3 slides his battlemask and visor back and looks at Xaaron intently. "I am not here to be careful. I am here to protect the Prince and defeat the enemy. I do not think it likely I will survive this battle, but I must do what I can."
He replaces his battlemask and visor, ready for battle once more. "But for now, my orders are to guard you while Override is away."

Emirate Xaaron notes coolly, "You do your Prince no good if dead."
Of course, pot, kettle, black, but seriously.
"Guarding me right now is a bit pointless." No one is attacking him. "Let's go find the enemy, shall we?"

"True enough," Dead End-3 replies as he transforms back into a car. "So I had best do what I can while I still live."
"As you wish." Dead End darts forward, checking the floor of the crater outside the hollow for trouble...

Emirate Xaaron is no one to talk about throwing lives away, since he tries to sacrifice his own with a fairly regular frequency, but he's getting the impression that this Dead End may be just as interested in death as the other one - just a different... perspective on the matter. Still, he mutters, "Or you could just not die. That's an option."
He doesn't risk transforming back to that wretched tank mode of his. Instead, he stays a robot and tries to pick his way around the craeter, keeping to cover as much as possible.
I think so.
