Hellbender folds his arms; he doesn't have anything more to say. These guys should have the message that violence on their part means they get hurt. He wishes Shockwave didn't sound so conciliatory right off the bat; these goons might mistake it for weakness. They don't know the frightful engine of destruction that is Shockwave in combat; they don't know that Shockwave being polite is the one chance you get to listen to him and come out of the deal in good shape.
Oh well. If they screw the pooch, the next bunch will have their bad example to learn from.

Shockwave is polite and apologetic because he truly has no interest in the backwater den of iniquity that is the Pz-Zazz of this universe. He would prefer to finish up their business here with minimal fuss, get refueled and resupplied, and get back en route to where Cybertron should lie waiting. The Autobots' presence requires an extension of stay, if only to try and cull their ranks.
That, and Shockwave will not be the first to leave, and have enemies following behind, if he can help it.
"Then there is nothing to be concerned over," Shockwave says, waving his hand dismissively, "We will not be on your planet long, and our wares are not the type to be peddled on the street as a norm- though some have had trouble grasping that fact. What trades I approve will be on a much...larger scale, and more open to scrutiny."
He tilts his head, shifts his weight slightly and adopts a more relaxed position.
"But for future reference, what are the boundaries of your territory?"

"From Gay to Long and State to Thirteenth, more or less," Larry answers, shrugging one shoulder and leaning back halfway onto his heels. Technically speaking, the area from Tenth to Thirteenth is disputed, but Larry doesn't really see the need to share that information with Shockwave.
"And... not sticking around long?" He gives a quick nod of his head. "That's good. Real good all around, I think." He turns to the blob. "Whaddaya think, Grup?"
Grup burbles out a noise that sounds partway between a toilet backing up and an elephant's burp.
Larry laughs raucously, as if he'd just been told the funniest joke EVER. "Man, you said it, Grup!" He shakes his head and starts to wipe away a laugh-tear from the corner of his right eye. "Boy, no one can turn a phrase like you can!"

Glowing red optics narrow slightly, again. Hellbender can't understand the blobby alien, and doesn't know what the creature is capable of. It might be defenseless, and it might be some unholy ameboid thing that corrodes metal at a touch.
"Ain't nobody never told you it's rude to talk in a foreign language in front of folks as doesn't understand it? "less you're tryin' to insult them, of course," Hellbender rumbles.

"Hellbender...."
Shockwave's voice does not raise, in fact, it drops a shade softer. There is though, an undercurrent of warning and command that was not there earlier.
To Larry, he says, "As our business seems concluded, I would like to return to my walk. Unless," One of Shockwave's headfins flick, "you have some other concern to address?"

So if you're trying to insult someone, it's okay to use foreign languages?
At Hellbender's words, Grup immediately starts shaking and making a sloshy noise somewhat akin to the sound boots make when they get pulled out of very deep mud.
Larry opens his eyes wide starts to pat Grup on... well, on the Grup. "Aw, c'mon, Grup! Don't listen to him! Ain't your fault some insensitive people don't get that not every species is capable of makin' the same noises! C'mon, now, buddy! It just ain't worth getting this worked up over!"
He then frowns up at Shockwave's dismissal. Larry's none too pleased with the wording, however, that was more or less what he wanted covered.
"So long as we understand each other... yeah. We'll be takin' our leave." He pauses, then continues. "But we'll be keeping an eyes on you folks." With that, he tries to herd the still distraught blob out of the area.

But in that case, you're doing it deliberately, so...
// Sorry, sir. I thought he was bein' deliberately disrespectful. Ah'm not very good at this here diplomacy thing, Ah guess. Ah guess I should keep my vocalizer off when you're negotiatin', even if they're a bunch of low-lifes what don't have a clue who they're dealin' with. // There's a bit of hurt pride in Hellbender's voice, but he's also chastened. He should have kept his vocalizer off, he knew that, but it ticked him off that a bunch of alien thugs thought they could talk to Lord Shockwave that way... or any Decepticon for that matter.

Shockwave nods at the departing Larry. "Of course you will. Just as we shall keep watch for you and your...business partners." He watches the odd pair leave with no small amount of interest. Shockwave doubts this is the last he will hear from them or those they represent.
//While your desire to defend my honor is most admirable, Hellbender, discretion in such situations would be preferable. Do remember that I am not some thin-plated fool quick to take offense at such unimportant things.//
//This is not our world, or our universe. We have no station here, regardless of our right to such. We must tread carefully.//
Shockwave turns to head down a side path, this one well lit (comparatively) by tubes of softly colored lights.
//Advise me when they are out of possible hearing range.//

The two continue to head off, though Larry does spare one final suspicious look back at Shockwave and Hellbender.
OOC: Out of thread.

Hellbender saunters after Shockwave, continuing to sweep the area with his gaze and other sensors. // Yes sir. Ah'm afraid Ah'm the 'thin-plated fool quick to take offense' here. One of the reasons Ah never got promoted past squad leader; Ah got a bit of a hot temper. Seriously. //
He ponders a moment. // But we'll come back and make it ours, one of these days? //
A bit later... // Well, they're out of my hearin' range, so I figure we're out of theirs. Can't say the same about all the other secret meetin's goin' on in heres. //

Shockwave turns to look up at Hellbender when the worm asks his question.
"Of course."
As if there were any doubt.
"I am not terribly concerned with those others here. To my understanding this place is quite popular for meetings of the less deadly- though perhaps more dangerous-sort."
Yes, Shockwave considers relationships dangerous. They prompt people to do silly things for the sake of something as ridiculous as physical or emotional satisfaction.

Most of the other visitors might be engaged in somewhat compromising intercourse of various types, however, not all of them are. One, in particular, is just passing through from one section of the city to another.
Granted, there probably had been a shorter route, but this course allows Perceptor to sneak a peek at some of the more interesting plant life being cultivated here. And, really, who would miss a cutting of this, or a bud of that, or a spikey seed pod full of its precious cargo and now carefully tucked away in a certain Autobot scientist's subspace?
Just because Botanica must remain on board the Event Horizon to supervise the crew left there does not mean that she will go without the opportunity to study this world's botanical offerings. Not if Perceptor has anything to say about it. And searching out the materials needed to facilitate Omega's repairs - amoung other projects - will not suffer for the mere few minutes delay that Perceptor will add with this little detour.
Of course, that does not take into account the presence of a pair of rather formidable Decepticons lurking about already. Individuals whom Perceptor has yet to notice, with his attention wandering from this plant to the next.

Whatever Hellbender might have been about to say next is forgotten as some very interesting echoes and sounds reach his audials. He continues to sweep the garden with his gaze, head turning slowly from side to side, no change to show his sudden focus of attention.
// Boss, Ah'm pickin' up another large robot in here, bearing 255 and just beyond that there hedge a smidgen. Not one of the locals; he ain't got none of the fabric covers they like1, an' besides his outline matches one of them Autobots--Perceptor. 'Less there's some other guy with a big ole tube on his shoulder, // Hellbender informs his master.
--- 1 Hellbender's sonar & radar sounds different reflected off fabric vs metal.

"Hmmm?" Shockwave looks in the direction indicated "Well, then, then night is about to get even more interesting. It could be Mirage, however. He has that electro-disruptor on his shoulder usually, after all." He tilts his head. "But Mirage is not so tall."
Shockwave walks around the edge, unhurried and nonthreatening, and possibly worrying the heck out of Hellbender by doing so.
"Hello, Perceptor. I was unaware you had an interest in botany among your many others."

That sound? It's not a sound of passion from one of the various couples - and groups - scattered about trysting. No, it's a very undignified squeak erupting from Perceptor's vocal processor as he jumps back, spinning to face the source of that all-too-familiar voice.
Why, yes, Shockwave, you did just magnificently get the drop on the Autobot scientist. Perceptor backs another step away, optics wide; he has no dignity left to salvage, so why even pretend?
"W-why would I not?" he asks, straightening, gaze darting about to look for the Decepticon back-up that Shockwave must surely be traveling with. "It is a valid scientific pursuit."
