"That's what I said, isn't it?" Override answers, irritated at what can be taken as a question to her honesty. Then she hesitates, her expression softening as she recalls just how unbelievable it seemed to her, even as she watched it.
"Well, look. Now, resolution would be no good for a proper broadcast, of course, but then, I don't have those sorts of sensors." While she speaks she swings her legs down and sets her feet on the ground, then leans forward towards the terminal. She inserts a forefinger into a port and makes a connection, accessing her video and audio files of the event. The video is, as she predicted, very poor quality, and the sounds are tinny, some of the words indistinct, but it's possible to get the general idea of what's happening.
The viewer's perspective is in a round room, and the different colors on the walls indicate some sort of ornate designs or writing, but the precise detail of them can't be determined from the video on the screen. A large red and blue robot who looks rather like Optimus Prime, and yet different, is placing some sort of glowing device into the center of the room. A beam of light comes from the device and shines towards Optimus's chest. He expresses confusion, and another voice - the perspective of the video turns to look at the speaker, making it obvious that all this is as it's seen through someone's optics - declares that he must reveal the Matrix. This second speaker is in whites and golds and reds, but the ornate scrollwork is reduced to just busy blocks of color in the low resolution replay. The strange Optimus-but-not reveals the Matrix - and despite the poor quality, this item, at least, is familiar. As he does, he beseeces Primus, asking for his wisdom.
The room grows dark, there is a loud noise that might have had a musical quality if the audio was decent, and then lights spread out from the center and move up the walls. The video starts to shake, and a young voice that sounds less mechanical than the others (even though the poor audio quality distorts it somewhat) shouts, 'Earthquake!' Another voice tries to calm him, and tells them to 'hop inside us,' at which point the perspective swings around to reveal three young humans heading to take shelter inside of three Transformers, each only around the size of Makeshift.
Then all hell breaks loose as first the room, then the planet itself begins to rumble and split open, rearranging itself. Optimus Prime declares that the children must be kept safe, and they, and the viewer chases after them, leaving behind several of the others. The smaller ground vehicles end up falling off a suddenly forming cliff, but the viewer catches them, landing on... something out of sight, before leaping up again, only to see the ground split away beneath. The perspective falls for a moment, but stops suddenly before swinging up to reveal that the 'camera man' has been caught by a helicoptor.
The confusion continue until the group receives a general alert telling them to fall back to the moon. In a relatively short period, the view-angle pulls far enough away from the planet surface to see the whole planet at once, at which point it becomes clear that the world is splitting apart. It's not long before it becomes obvious that the world is not collapsing or destroying itself, however: it is transforming!
"I know what it looks like, but that's impossible!" comes the unfamiliar Prime's voice.
"Yes," answers the other voice dryly, "but the impossible seems to happen quite frequently."
By this point, what are clearly discernable as hands emerge from inside the planet, and the final mode becomes clearer and clearer as Optimus and that other voice, as well as a couple of the not-quite-as-mechanical-sounding voices, rather convienently provide exposition.
"It's Cybertron! The whole planet!" one out of sight young-voice exclaims.
"You've got to be kidding! And I thought Starscream was big!" answers another. Odd statement, that!
"Whatever that thing is," a third hidden voice, female, worries, "I hope it's on our side."
Finally, Optimus speaks again. "Than, this must be..."
And the older voice intervenes. "None other. He who charted the universe when it was new."
"By the Allspark!"
"He who battled Unicron at the beginning of time. He whose Spark formed the basis of all life on Cybertron and Velocitron and all the other Transformer colonized homeworlds! It can be no other!"
"Our... creator!"
"This is Primus!"
And then Override ends the video and gives Ultra Magnus a shrug, a sort of quirky, 'What can you do?' smile tugging at her lips as she pulls her hand from the port and leans back.
"So yeah. It transforms."
