Shockwave's headfin flicks again as Skid-Z makes his silent support known. The racecar is not one Shockwave knows, though there are similarities to Mirage. But are the similarities merely plating deep?
"You could at least be polite to them, Long Haul. This may be one of the rare times you three might speak without either side attempting advantage," Shockwave's head tilts slightly toward Springer's hiding place, and his voice raises just a tad in volume, "Besides, we are not prone to lashing out at others without provocation, merely because we do not agree on politics."

Hook glances at Shockwave. "'Polite'?" He asks as if the word is in some strange, foreign tongue he isn't familiar with.
"If I was concerned, Long Haul, you already know I wouldn't be doing something as trivial as standing around an alien street being snapped at. Honestly, do you have an ounce of intelligence in all those tons?"

Long Haul snorts. "Oh, right, so it's just your friend there who does trivial stuff when he's concerned."
After all, it was Shockwave, not Long Haul, who first applied the word 'concern' to their reasons for being there.
He gives the group of Decepticons a wary look, a quick glance for reassurance to Skid-Z and Springer, then he turns his back on them to walk away and gather more wayward parts, which he then carries back to pile into a container.
"Better era, huh? Y'mean the one where we all was slaves?" That may be well before Long Haul's time, but thanks to the history files added to the Event Horizon, not to mention his own dealings with Omega Supreme when they first met in this world, Long Haul does now have a much better idea what purpose Omega Supreme once served.
"Ain't no more rule says I gotta be polite anymore than there's a rule that Hook can't be snotty, and hell, if there were, I'd be a lot more like to follow mine than Hook would his."
He levels a look at Mixmaster, one that manages to approximate 'angry glare' despite his notable lack of any facial features normally useful to that purpose, then shrugs.
"Guess I don't have much say over whether you stay or go, but I got work to do, and I'm gonna keep doing it. You're just tryin' to torque me off, anyways. Well, it already worked, but I'm still gonna get my job done!"

Springer steps out from his hiding place, scowling and leaning against the piece once in sight.
"That's a load of scrap, Shockwave. I was merely protecting my comrades." Springer's browridge is low, he glaring at the gunformer. "You wanna call Long Haul impolite? That's like the smelter calling the furnace black. Don't go playing the innocent little victimized service drone after that slag a few days ago. You might be able to fool the locals, but it won't fly around here."
Be firm, but don't let him get your goat...

Mixaster tilts his head toward Springer curiously for a moment, something almost too-serious flitting across his face as he works his mouth idly, then he mentally, obviously, shrugs and turns his attention back to Long Haul.
"Autobots are so t-touchy," he notes, almost complaining but sounding almost too amused to for that. His amusement only makes itself known far more prominantly as he continues. "You're touchy too, Hauler, you know. Far too touchy. You're like Hook! And that just isn't healthy, it isn't."
But that's okay, because that's Long Haul's normal touchiness and it's familiar. Mixmaster seems pleased. "You should know! I wouldn't d-dream of interfering."
Then again, Mixmaster wouldn't consider replacing those scrap materials Long Haul's using with something he considers better (or just simply more amusing) interfereing.

Shockwave merely said that he was concerned, not that the Constructicons were. Their reasons for accompanying him here are their own; Shockwave merely offered them the opportunity.
"As polite as you lot are capable of being with each other, at any rate, Hook," the gunformer says when the crane give him a Look, "Perhaps it is a stretch for some, but really, civility and courtesy are not removed when one takes up our brand."
That single yellow optic swings to fixate on Springer.
"Any more than those traits are augmented by the taking up of yours. Do not color me with the same brush as Starscream, Springer. I assure you that I have no more interest in pretending to victimization then I do in initiating conflict with any of you at the moment."
Of course, if Springer forgets himself, then Shockwave will not have to pretend, will he?
His gaze swings back to Long Haul, "We were never slaves to another race in my reality, Long Haul. Before the war, our culture and civilization were a grand thing to behold."

Skid-Z is getting curious. This shines through his severe expression of 'I don't like you being here and I wish you would go and I'm watching you very closely'. But only slightly.
Someday later, he's going to be tearing up the database anew on the subject 'Decepticons: multiverse history and archetypes'.

Hook gives Springer a level look. The Autobot does know what he sounds like, doesn't he? Or is ranting angrily normal for Pz-zazz? Slagged if he knows. This is the first time he's bothered going down to the planet.
"The only reason I am touchy, Mixmaster, is because you insist on touching." Hook rests his hands on his hips and studies how Long Haul is going about repairing Omega Supreme. Without comment.
So far.

Long Haul pauses in the midst of his supply gathering and looks right at Shockwave for a moment.
"Mebbe so, but this ain't your Omega," he answers before going back to work.
"I ain't never claimed to be polite, and ain't never claimed being a 'Bot made me polite. I'm a leakin' hauler," he grumbles, now no longer watching the others.
"I just don't want to deal with you people." Then he looks up, this time directing his optic band towards Mixmaster. "And that includes you. I may be touchy, but you'd better not be, got it?"

Angry ranting might not be normal for Pz-Zazz, but it's not out of the question for Springer.
He's still scowling, though. "Well, it's been a rough few solar cycles - enough to make anyone 'touchy', especially when uninvited guests just show up out of the blue."
Springer then looks at Shockwave. "Hopefully, you'll be holding to your word. And hopefully, your companions there feel the same."

"Hm. No. I think you're always like that," Mixmaster says to Springer with a definite nod, though he doesn't bother looking at him. He leans forward on his feet to watch Long Haul work instead, looking almost agitated about something. He didn't like seeing his gestalt mates working with materials he didn't give them. It was wrong on a very innate level.
"And of course you don't want to deal with us!" he tells Long Haul. "No one wants to deal with anyone, no they don't, not at all. So you just need to not "deal" with us and instead just accept that we're here and move on with life, no dealing involved. Simple, yes?"
He doesn't remark on Long Haul's statement about touchiness. Pointedly so.

Shockwave shrugs, "He is not my Omega, no, but, you are not my Long Haul, nor these my Mixmaster or Hook, and yet still I feel an obligation as I did to the people of my own reality."
The Decepticon commander turns his attention away from the Constructicons now. He did not come here to harass Long Haul, after all. Besides, Springer has given Shockwave a much more interesting subject to examine. He tilts his head as he studies the Wrecker commander.
"I gave no promise, Springer, merely stated that my intentions were not as you assumed. You cannot trap me in wordplay so easily." Shockwave does not answer for the Constructicons's motives; he knows better.
He takes a step closer to Springer and even without a face, it is obvious his gaze is one of appraisal. "You are a triple-changer as I understand it. If you will indulge me, have you always been so?"

The urge to tell Long Haul he's doing it wrong is rising.
"I haven't wanted to deal with any of this since I've arrived here. What we want and what we have to do are two entirely different things." Pause. "Left, Long Haul."

"Of course there's dealing involved!" Long Haul snaps at Mixmaster. "You keep talkin' at me! And don't you tell me how to organize this, Hook. If we always did it your way, we'd never get nothin' done. I know what I'm doing." As he argues, Long Haul automatically falls into a more familiar mode of arguing, the sort of bickering he did when Mixmaster and Hook were companions and workmates rather than frightening enemies who were liable to kidnap him and reprogram his brain at any moment.
Then he transforms.
"SkidZ, Springer, if you guys're done staring off with faceless, I need to get loaded. Can't do that by myself."
Obviously, Long Haul is not thinking about any alternate meanings to his phrasology.

Skid-Z keeps standing right where he is, calm and attentive.
"I'm done when our polite guests are on their way out; then I'll surely help you" He answers confidently. Security, keeping watch on unwanted guests (even if he's cutting said guests some slack at the moment), helping with transport. He doesn't mind being flexible on where he's put to work.
Guy appears to be doing a solid job for the red team. Still, unspoken, the Deceptacon presence -and their focal priority- is a honey-sweet serving of revenge to the dumptruck. After all, according to Long Haul himself, Skid-Z is just some soldier. He will know those words well.
