Kup does a final, quick look-around in the bedroom while Singe is searching in the room with the electronics, then he joins Singe. As soon as he spots that Singe has the laptop he sighs and mutters, "Great. Another way for this bastard to keep tabs on us." He reaches over to grab it - as large at it is, Singe would probably struggle with it - and explains, "We should probably look it over before we get rid of it, but I'm thinking we shouldn't stick around here to do it."
With that, he heads towards the front door, looks around, and slips back out past the police tape.

Hairsplitter smiles pleasantly, though it is a bit forced, at the elevator operator, and he asks politely, which isn't forced, "One floor down, please."
Singe suggests, in rather bad pre-war Iaconian, "Running would be good right about now. So would-" and this is perhaps not so much Singe himself making the suggestion any more, "-a radio dead area. The subways? Get on; can get off anywhere. They can track where we get on, sure, and where we get off, if we let them."
If they crawl out the roof of the car and duck into extremely dangerous maintenance shafts, why then, they can get off and not be tracked!
The sirens are dead, but Spinister's paranoia is well and alive. He ducks back into the first alley where he cloaked, settles himself into the darkest area, and he reappears.

Kup nods. "Sure, makes sense. Tell Spinister to meet us on the roof, if you don't mind. Or even if you do." With that, he slips back out, not even worrying about replacing the police tape - it'll be obvious someone was in there soon enough - and strolls towards the elevator. Probably the same elevator that Hairsplitter is arriving in.

Spinister just happens to be in the right alley to climb the fire escape and get into the roof, which he does so carefully, laying himself down flat on the roof, in shadow.
Look, standing up in the sun is just begging to get shot. When he feels it from Hairsplitter and Singe in the elevator that they'll be up on the roof, he'll transform.
It is an elevator, and there is a Hairsplitter inside! Singe still stands closer to Kup than Hairsplitter. Kup is apparently less uncool than Hairsplitter. Ponder that for a moment. Singe shrugs and grunts, "Already done."

Kup isn't even going ot try to ponder Singe's rules of uncool.
The elevator brings the group to the top floor, and from there it's to the stairwell and the roof. Kup frowns at the exit to the stairwell. "This'll probably trigger an alarm soon as we open it," he grumbles, "but we'll be gone here in a moment, anyway." He kneels and gathers up both the Nebulans. "I'm bettin' I can run faster than you two," he notes as he straightens up, pushes the door open, and sprints up the stairs to the sky light where Hairsplitter had broken into the building. He scowls when he sees that it's in the ceiling. Autobots don't fly! However, this Autobot has pretty strong legs, and has been known to be pretty agile for an old coot. Blitzwing once learned that he can jump pretty well when he has a mind to!
Without slowing down, Kup makes a leap for the sky light, grabbing onto the edge nearest the crack with the hand not holding the Nebulans. As he dangles there, he reaches his other arm up.
"Go ahead, pull yourselves up," he grunts out between clenched teeth.
Hopefully Spinister will be willing to pull him up. Hopefully. But if not, Kup's strong enough to pull himself up, if he has both arms free.

The Nebulans clamber up Kup and scramble up onto the roof.
Then, Spinister does help pull up Kup, but it's a near thing, and Spinister glares at Kup, as if you say, You're heavy, though he doesn't say a word.
Singe and Hairsplitter pile into Spinister, Singe in the pilot's seat and Hairsplitter as the co-pilot gunner, like they've done this a thousand times. Spinister hovers up, just to shoulder-height. Is he just going to leave Kup here on the roof?
Well. He's waiting for Kup, anyway, if Kup cares to grab on for a ride.

Kup eyes the helicoptor warily for a moment. Finally, he mutters, "Still can't believe I'm doing this," and grabs ahold.
"Nearest subway entrance might be seem too obvious, but hell, we're going to get traced until we go under, anyway, so... nearest that ain't blocked, I figure," he growls over the sound of Spinister's rotors (do Spinister's rotors make noise?).
"Just away from /here/, though."

Oh, come on, the safest place around Spinister is right beneath him.
His guns don't swivel that way.
Cough.
His rotors are quiet enough to talk over, which is odd enough, in and of itself, but only just. Spinister has no reason to let Kup know just how quiet he can be.
So Spinister putters off in search of the nearest subway entrance that isn't blocked! He accelerates smoothly, playing with how fast he can push it - Kup losing his grip would be undesirable.
