Grimlock feels the dart hit about the time he sees Mirage -get- hit. It hits the Dinobot in his lower belly area (His robot-mode chest), though off to the side a bit thanks to Mirage's accidental deflection. Grimlock stumbles backward a bit, groaning some, as the dart came out of nowhere, and it hurt.
This should scare any Autobot with half a processor, but Grimlock sees it as a challenge, and a matter of pride.
The Dinobot snarls, glancing around. The dart hit Mirage, then it hit Grimlock. Thus, the dart would logically have to have come from Mirage's direction! Grimlock turns slightly, leaning forward a bit to spew a jet of flame out into the air behind the group - not far enough to hit any property, but hopefully if the skinwalker is there, it will ignite him.

Pyrite has no answer for Mirage as Mirage closes up the panel on his head. He just shakes and sobs quietly, a pathetic, miserable figure. Arcee will likely find him lighter than most Transformers his height and shape - he doesn't have military armour, the tougher internals, or triply redundant systems.
Like a good hunter, as soon as he fires, hit or miss, the replicant is moving, knowing his prey, so fanged and clawed, might be firing back at him. So it is experience, not speed, that saves him from those prehistoric flames, but he gets a very good look at those flames, and, to a lay viewer, it appears as if the flames suddenly backfire and rush backwards at Grimlock and the whole little party of machines. Is the primitive fireproof? Are his companions? To an empirical experimentalist, there is only one way to find out, sensors or no sensors.

Taking the shot was more deliberate than accidental; Grimlock has one of those lasercore things, and if the shot scored true, well... Mirage risking himself was the lesser of the two evils.
Mirage goes down, but he isn't down but for seconds. He rolls under the flames which seem to be coming back toward him, wincing as the heat scorches his paint. Warning alerts are screaming at him, and something vital to his transformation seems to have been clipped. It may still be functional, but Mirage has trouble with that area periodically anyway. Add the additional damage and the spy isn't keen on risking a transform.
"I'm not important. We need to get him out of here and somewhere safe," he shouts, still in Iaconian, "Grimlock, take him and fly. You three...arrange a meet up with Grimlock via radio." Mirage tries to get, but stumbles back to his knees. "Perceptor...if you can get him. Needs to see that mess."
Hopefully, they'll listen to him. Primus, please don't let the bastard be able to copy flight. Let him settle for the easier bait instead.

Arcee is relieved that Mirage and Grimlock aren't down, but she'll bask in the warm feelings of not-dead-or-dying comrades later. There were things to care of now.
"Grimlock be careful with that fire of yours!" She'll be happy if he manages to hit the replicant, it'd make him a much easier target, but not at the cost of everything else being set aflame! In a moment, though it seems that Arcee's worries here misplaced, and the fire wouldn't get the chance to.
"Everything" potentially includes all of them too, apparently!
The triplets all reverse quickly to evade the flames, and Arcee makes an extra jump back. Pyrite isn't all too heavy, but while she's handling his load well, he's still a load, and she has to work harder to keep out of harm's way. If only because he's bigger than her and she can't exactly shield him with her body.
"And leave you on your own? Not a chance!" Arcee shouts back. Pyrite needed to get out of here and he also needed help, no arguments there, she could feel him shaking. and she'd make sure that he'd get it, but she wasn't about to leave Mirage on his own, not as he was. Even if she weren't under orders, she couldn't go like this under good conscience.
So. Can't stay, won't leave, what's a girl to do?
If you're Arcee, both.
"They'll get you out of here." she says, doing her best to reassure Pyrite, as she rolls over to Grimlock. She'll give the Rock Lord over to him once he stops. If he stops.
So after they get clear, then what? Arcee can't see anybody going through all that trouble to keep to keep somebody quiet and not install some sort of tracking device while they were at it. Maybe they thought that horrible set-up would be enough as it was, but she's not about to bet on that horse. The worst of it wasn't that they might only manage to buy time, no, the worst of it was not knowing how much of it they would get.
She'd just have to make sure that it would be enough.

Grimlock doesn't move as the flames wash back onto him, scorching his paint as he transforms to robot mode. Sparks shoot out of the hole in his chest where the dart hit him, causing him to hunch forward slightly, grabbing at it with a groan. He glances around, mind racing - as much as a Dinobot's mind can race, anyway. His flames got reflected back, and this thing was able to hit him hard already.
And Rodimus said to try and stay off the evening news.
"...me Grimlock hate leaving fight unfought," he grumbles in Iaconian. He takes Pyrite from Arcee, then looks at Mirage. "Me Grimlock supposed to get you, too," he says, scooping up the spy. He jumps in the air, lifting high as quick as he can. Over the radio, in Cybertronian again he adds - //Me Grimlock say split and run, him not able to chase all four of us!//

Replicating flight would be rather complex, though not entirely impossible, but it would be a big drain on the power reserves. Does he really want to have to call in extra power over the link? The skinwalker has to think hard, though not long, and judge this choice.
The primitive has taken Pyrite and the hunter with the quaint old cloaking system. That makes up the skinwalker's mind for him - but ah, there's still another option. The beastial robot turning on flight systems will change his current draw, yes? The new systems coming online and causing voltage drops that weren't there before should, theoretically, be the flight systems. Time to test that theory with another armour piercing dart. Leading the shot to account for the fact that Grimlock is moving, the replicant fires again, this time soundlessly, which is not something Mirage's darts should not be able to do.
Pyrite doesn't do much of anything, and it is unclear if he's conscious at all any more.

"Damn the lot of you, do you not understand the concept of leaving a diversion?" Mirage sputters as Grimlock manhandles him, but is certainly not strong enough to keep from being picked up by the Dinobot commander.
Mirage shoots a worried look at Pyrite stretching out an arm to try and touch the Rock Lord's shoulder, see if he's responsive. Mirage then glances back at the ground. He knows what he'd do in the doppelganger's place.
Mirage just hopes his shadow isn't as good a shot as he his.

Oh, Arcee understands the concept, she's used them a few times herself and she's all for using one right now, but they were sent here in the first place because the spy ran into trouble, and she wasn't about to leave him alone with said trouble. The others could go on without her. She'd back up Mirage.
...or not.
"Damnit!" There was nothing delaying the replicant from taking a shot, now! Chromia speeds after the group, following on the ground hoping that Grimlock is a better flyer than he looks, and that the enemy is a lousy shot.
Both Arcee and Elita-1 twist their heads this way and that, optics peeled as they look for something--anything that they can use. Think. Think! She couldn't see the replicant and he had damned good instincts, but maybe there was a way she could make him be seen, tip the balance in her favour, just a little bit. There had to be some--
Her optics pass over a fire hydrant before she focuses back on it, and an idea violently springs to mind.
'This just...'
'...might work!'
Arcee races over to the fire hydrant, deploying her energy blade along the way and slicing the nozzle caps clean off before pulling quickly back, water suddenly surges everywhere in powerful torrents. If the replicant moves, she'll hopefully be able to see him, but she isn't done. Not yet.
Elita-1 is further down the street out of the jets immediate path, but the water eventually reaches her. As Arcee is pulling back, Elita-1 punches a lamp post, sending it crashing to the wet ground with a bright spark.
Neither of them are wet but for the bottoms of their tires.

Grimlock is struck with the dart!
However, given that he's facing away from the skinwalker means that the dart hits him in his back-kibble - namely, the big ol' dinosaur mode head. It still hurts a good deal, and even goes through Grimlock's hard head to hit his back, but going that far kept it from hitting his flight system in a critically disabling manner. However, Grimlock still falters a bit, wobbling in the air and even dipping a bit in altitude.
Grimlock groans in pain, looking over at Mirage - "Me Grimlock under orders to bring you back, not leave diversion! Me Grimlock usually am diversion, but me only one who can fly out of us - what else me do?!"

Pyrite stirs weakly and fitfully at Mirage's touch, murmuring groggily, "Chalco?"
Meanwhile, the Arcees summon a deluge and electrocutes the water. That is very cunning and clever, and it takes a swift leap to cling to a low apartment balcony to keep the skinwalker from being revealed and shocked, in that order.
Blast, the flight systems haven't been taken out. That beast doesn't seem too fast, but he's moving as the crow flies.
Nothing to do now but climb around the building, away from the waters, and start tracking on foot. He refuses to make a reactor link call over a handful of machines. Wherever they go, they're talking bright glowing poison, radium-like, with them.

Mirage has to admit that the Arcees's move- what he can see of it anyway- was exceptionally clever. He only hope it doesn't land the ladies in jail for destruction of property. After all, as far as any bystander could tell, the Autobots were causing a ruckus and kidnapping a fellow from his apartment complex.
"I would have been fine-" Mirage starts to argue, then sighs. He has enough aches and pains already. No point in adding a headache to the list.
The spy does shoot a concerned look at Pyrite. Mirage hopes the Rock Lord can be helped.
"He'll track us," Mirage says, tone certain, "I don't want to bring that danger onto the ship. We need a place to go to ground, preferably where a medic can meet us. Have either of you given a sitrep to anyone yet?"

Arcee waits and listens, poised and ready to make a shot.
Nothing.
Both of their lips turn downward in a frown. She can't say she's not disappointed and, but she searches on. It was too early to call it quits, just yet. They both do a careful sweep of the area, checking hiding places and avenues of escape, weapons still at the ready. He could still be around, though, as time passed and no more attacks came, she was starting to think it more and more unlikely.
Unless the replicant was resistant to electricity, and waiting out nearby--a worrying thought that only highlighted how little they knew about him, he was almost definitely gone.
"Found something." Arcee mutters, knowing Elita-1 was on her way over before she'd even spoken. There was a slight impression in the earth that would eventually be washed away by the water, but was still here for now. It was deeper, but didn't lead anywhere. A jump.
"That sneaky bastard.... He can't have gotten far," Elita-1 points out, though she can't say for sure.
"Which means we'll be able to get farther." Regrouping with the others was their best bet, and their priority. "Either we'll find him or he'll find us," Arcee replies simply, though it's a bit bitter since she's banking on the latter possibility. She's used to being the one who stalks and sneaks up on the enemy, and given the circumstances, she can't say that she likes having the tables turned on her like this, especially not with other lives at stake. "Whatever happens, we still need to take him down."
Arcee transforms and speeds on ahead, while Elita-1 shoots at the base of the fallen lamp post to short it out, racing after her sister-self soon after. She doesn't want to risk other people getting themselves electrocuted.
Shame there wasn't a big enough rug to sweep the lamp post under.

Grimlock just rumbles at Mirage's arguing. "Not yet, but good idea. Me Grimlock do that."
And so he does.
"Rodimus want us to go to safe house - he not know what medic he sending yet, though. Him asking about faker's scent, though."
He's quiet for a few minutes, then looks at Mirage while they fly over a chunk of dense city. "...that guy really dangerous."

Luckily, for the intrepid Autobots, the skinwalker picked a time of day when most people are busy at work, aside from starving actors, and there aren't too many witnesses to see them carry off Pyrite and commit wanton destruction of property.
He lets them get away a bit for now, but wherever Pyrite goes, he can be there. Wherever they go, they must suspect everyone, because he can be anyone.
OOC: I'll go skippable, since Pyrite isn't really all there and Mr. Nasty is being sneaky about tracking, and let you have a few rounds to get wherever you're going. Depending where you go, there may be some unpleasant surprises.

Mirage frowns. Whatever place Rodimus is sending them to won't be safe for long. Mirage is sure of that; it's why he didn't want to go to the Event Horizon. Too many people would be placed in danger. If his radio wasn't damaged, Mirage wouldn't even bother dragging a medic into this. But there's still Pyrite to worry about.
Pyrite, who probably is as good as sending up a flare and announcing their location to the hunter. Mirage shifts a bit in Grimlock's grasp, suddenly uncomfortable with his decision to try and help the Rock Lord. But...Mirage couldn't just leave him.
"Yes," Mirage answers Grimlock at length, "Yes he is. I would have preferred not to give him extra targets."
"But... thank you for your assistance."
