That apology tugs at something deep inside Mirage. The hand at his side clenches into a fist, and it would be possible to see the spy's resolve forming were it not so dark. He will get both Pyrite and Bambi out of here, and he will find Pyrite's sister.
"Things happen," he murmurs, "Now, if possible, I need a bit of honesty from you. If we get you free and repaired enough, can you keep up with us? I want to try and take advantage of this opportunity to look for you sister."
"Alternately, we can leave you here, and then come back to fetch you. However," Mirage's expression- what little can be seen- softens, "I don't want to leave you to more torture."

Bambi watches Mirage thoughtfully.
Pyrite sounds a bit groggy and pained, "Can't move. Can't th-think. Can't di-di-disobey." It is clearly a struggle for him to say that much - his condition seems worse than it was before. "If could move... could move. Follow. But you'd need to keep me away from them."
He's shaking with both shame and terror.
"Just go."

Mirage automatically tries to soothe Pyrite, using touch as is Mirage's wont. He tries to smooth his hand along the Rock Lord's brow, down the side of his face. The gesture helps soothe Mirage as well, helps him focus. Mirage is remembering a certain conversation with Xaaron about a certain constable.
Pyrite is a liability. By his own admission, he could betray Mirage and Bambi at any time were they to take the actor along. They don't know what or who might be waiting outside that door, where Pyrite's sister might be, or even if she's here. Where ever here might be.
They could leave Pyrite, and return for him. But these creatures do not strike Mirage as fools, and certainly, they would expect such a move. That Mirage and Bambi would be returning to a trap is a given.
"No."
"Bambi, repair his motor functions so he can walk or run if needed. Then render him unconscious, but in such a way that he can easily be brought back up. I'll carry him. If he isn't consciously placed in the position of having to chose between us and his masters, things will go easier."
"We'll only have whatever tracers might be in him to contend with." Unspoken is the idea that there might also be tracers in Mirage and Bambi.
"I'm going to test my cloak while you do that. They did... something to it."
Mirage then attempts to disappear.

Bambi climbs up on the ring that holds Pyrite, working on him as he's bound. Working on Pyrite is hard, harder even than working on Jetfire was, and Jetfire was a fighter jet! He gasps softly in pain at several of the things she does, and at a few points, she's pretty sure that she's broken him more than she's fixed him.
First Aid, she is not.
Eventually, she undoes the shackles, and he stumbles out of the ring, a bit dazed. He laces his hands together nervously and is about to say something more when Bambi, behind him, withdraws her hammer and promptly whacks him in the head. The actor falls down on the floor.
Bambi look at her handiwork, leaning on the hammer, and remarks quietly, "Right. Me Bambi work on 'wake up' part now," and she scampers off to raid something that smells like stimulants to her from the cabinets.
Mirage will find vanishing to be the easiest thing in the world, quite effortless.

Mirage cycles off his cloak rather suddenly as Bambi performs literally knocks Pyrite out. Mirage would have liked to have heard what Pyrite was about to say... but Mirage did give her rather specific instructions.
He sighs and shakes his head. "Crude, but effective. I guess you really are a Dinobot."
Mirage leans down and picks up the fallen actor. He slings Pyrite over his shoulder then walks quietly over to Bambi.
"Go and stand to one side of the door. Have your hammer out and ready to knock the brains out of whomever comes through. Preferably hard enough that they stay down."
Provided Bambi does as directed, Mirage will also move close to the door. He draws his rifle, cloaks- and this kicks a nearby stool over.

Bambi grabs some vials of what she reckons are probably stimulants and pockets them. Theft suddenly becomes a lot more justifiable when one has been kidnapped out of a subway and probed by alien scientists while unconscious.
...ugh, that's creepy to think about.
Bambi snorts, "Course me Bambi Dinobot. Just no same kind of Dinobot as him Grimlock." She lays her hammer back along her shoulder and takes the side of the door, as directed.
When it opens, a rather rotund pair of robots stare vacantly at the darkness. They definitely look like they could transform, albeit crudely, into extremely ugly fish. They are carrying spiked morningstars, and after a moment, they start to swing them, apparently having no better ideas.
They're tall enough that Bambi has to jump to try to smash one in the head and then bounces off it on the other side. It blinks once, shrugs, and slowly starts to turn around after her.

Wow. More uglies.
... Uglies who can take a hit from a Dinobot and not even blink. Time to exit, stage left.
Mirage slips around behind the two monstrosities-who-he-does-not-know-to-call Sharkticons, reaches out and grabs Bambi by the wrist, and pulls her into his cloaking field. He's in motion as he does so, pulling the girl up and against him and trusting Bambi to clamber her own way up and into his crooked arm.
Venatorious could see through Mirage's cloak. Certainly, they would not have given Mirage an upgrade that could not still be foiled. Hopefully, however, being able to see the invisible is not a common trait among these people.
He runs lightly, making not a whisper of sound, though Mirage is certainly slowed by his twin burdens. Once they have a bit of distance, he's hoping to put Bambi down, at least.
If they don't run into any nasty surprises before then.

Bambi also has no idea what those are, but Grimlock would!
And then Mirage snatches her up.
The one Sharkticon complains, "Where food go? Want food."
The other complains, "Maybe not food. 'member? Food you no see is not food."
They mill about, confused.

It's difficult, moving and carrying both of them, but Mirage can't seem to find enough of a clearing to feel safe letting Bambi go uncloaked. The corridors are twisty, not really crowded, but there are more of those loutish guards milling about. Mirage would feel better if he knew where he was going, rather than running blind.
After he left that horrible room behind, he slowed to a fast walk, trying to pay attention to his surroundings, look for clues to tell him where he might be, where an exit might be. All the doors are closed, and he can't risk opening one and possibly walking into a roomful of enemies.
There's singing coming from up ahead. Odd. Mirage slows as he starts to pass by the first room that's been open since they started running. He looks in out of habit.
Oh dear.

Bambi is wondering if maybe climbing up on Mirage's shoulders would be a better idea and tries that.
Mirage has found a cabaret, red-lit and hazy with smoke, plush with burgundy velvet and darkly gleaming with mahogany.
The cabaret is nearly empty, save for Sharkticon staff, including a Sharkticon bartender in a bowler hat. He looks rather clumsy and drop a bottle behind the bar as he makes a drink.
The only two patrons are Secutorious and a strange creature like a hovering egg with tentacles, a hovering egg with five faces. They watch a stage. Above the stage hangs a golden cage with a female Rock Lord trapped inside. She's beautiful, built along similar lines as Pyrite, but more peacock-like in colouration, more like the sheen of an oil slick, and she is more delicate and lightly built.
There's nothing behind her optics, but she's singing so very sweetly.
Pyrite twitches.

Bambi can clamber over Mirage as she likes, so long as she doesn't impede the movement of the arm holding the rifle.
Mirage stiffens a bit when Pyrite twitches, and the spy moves swiftly on down the hall. He now knows where Chalco is, certainly, but he can't save her, not as things stand now. If she's as lost mentally as she looks, it's possible she'd refuse to be saved, or even attempt to hinder the escape.
He took in as many details as he could during that brief stop, however, and now he's looking for a) a safe place to leave Bambi and Pyrite while he goes back to take a closer or b)an exit that he can get them out safely before going back to for Chalco.
Maybe those enjoying the show will be gone by the time he can get back.

Bambi tries to sit up on the area around Mirage's head, rather than on the tops of his arms, so that he can more easily use his rifle.
Hmm, there's a dizzy dame in a cage, weirdo monsters... Bambi wants to ask Mirage more, but they need to be quiet now.
The next thing he finds his a vast underground area, patrolled by bored Sharkticons. There are stands and boxes, and the sand of the pit is stained with many different types of fuels.

Damnit! What is this place?
Rhetorical unspoken question. This place is one Mirage recognizes well enough. He's attended a few fights. He has a feeling, however, that this is more a proving ground for new pets, more than anything.
The thought makes his tanks turn over.
But...gah. Leaving the girl back there torques Mirage. Priorities. He has to remember priorities. Honor and doing the right thing have to come second, right? That's what Xaaron berated him about, yes?
Maybe he could just stuff Pyrite in a closet with Bambi to watch after him, go back, grab the girl, and then they could keep running. But he can't carry three people and still run and fight; physics is not quite so bendable in his reality as in the cartoon.
Mirage starts to move toward the nearest exit, when he stops in his tracks.
His cloak should have timed out ages ago.

Bambi peers at the arena curiously. Looks Romanesque, to her optics, but she makes a face when the stink of death reaches her nose.
The nearest exit is way down in the pit floor level, if he's trying to leave via the arena. The doors are locked now, but he might be able to get them open. Otherwise, he can try the hallways again.
Mirage's cloak seems to be perfectly steady. Not even as much of a power draw as he'd normally encounter.

Mirage seriously would like to keep this new cloaking tech. If the hologram/misdirection protocols work as well as the base cloaking ones....
He does take a turn down to that one door and finds it locked. He mutters a few choice swears under his breath (making sure that there isn't a Sharkticon guard nearby), then heads back up and out of the arena.
He's heading back toward the cabaret. Some time has passed. Maybe the watchers have gone. Mirage is, after all, a bit of an idealist. His mission was to save the girl, after all, and failure... the idea of failure weighs heavily on his mind.
There's a short expanse of hallway which has no guards thanks to plot-convenient timing. Mirage does not power down his cloak. What he does do, however, is shift Pyrite in his arms so that he can lean carefully against the wall. Well, as best he can with Bambi clinging to him.
"The girl in that cage was Pyrite's sister," he murmurs oh-so-quietly, "and the entire reason for my involvement in this debacle."
"It would cause us both much more risk, to try and save her."
