Misfire meets Spinister's stare, spreading his hands and shrugging. Saying Misfire should try more hand-to-hand isn't the same as saying Misfire might be good at hand-to-hand. Misfire has always been of the opinion that the Mayhems keep secret files and reports on everyone, just in case the Mayhems get a kill call.
Misfire looks up at Jetstorm, then down at his own very naked self. Yeah, clothes are the convention, but so far they haven't gone anywhere that is clothing required. Misfire hopes they don't. He hates the way that stuff feels on his plating, all soft and scratchy at the same time. Ugh.
"Jetstorm, you want that stuff, you just go for it, but don't look at me to paint it on." The little blue jet is so not Misfire's type.

"Needlenose can get his own clothes. He's better at it than I am," Spinister replies to Jetstorm. In fact, Spinister just might let Needlenose dress him. "And get your own boyfriend if you want someone paint you." He adds, after an afterthought. "Or girlfriend."
Women. They have them.
But yes, all the secret files are belong to Spinister.
Spinister holds up some novelty blacklight running lights to Misfire's wing, trying to figure out if they'd fit.

"Oh, did I say that out loud? Hm. I have got to work on that," Jetstorm mutters and rubs at his head. Sometimes the dialog gets confusing in his head. Consider it a mixing up of a few lines.
He goes back to looking at the shelves and tapping a finger against his mouth plate as he thinks. He's content to browse until Spinister says they have to go elsewhere.

Misfire twists and lets one of his wings extend a bit more fully so that Spinister can try fitting those light against him. Misfire even kneels down so Spinster doesn't have to reach.
Takes direction well, Misfire does, even unspoken direction. He can be aggressive, pushy even, but not with people he respects- or who frighten him.
He nods his head toward a selection of books. "Might be something there that he'd like. Not that I'm sure he doesn't have a lot of, um, skills. But if something in one takes your fancy well...," Misfire shrugs.

"Do so," he directs Jetstorm, when Jetstorm says he has to work on it.
After some moments of fretting with the lights and Misfire's wings, Spinister concludes that he has what he wants, here, and they'll fit.
Then, he looks over at the books, and he nods approvingly. Good idea! Initiative like that is why Misfire was tapped for this mission!

Misfire moves up to the shelf, occasionally pulling out a book, thumbing through it, the re-shelving it properly. Clerks hate it when people just shove the books back in willy nilly.
"Oh um...," he says at length, "This one might be... well..." He hands the book to Spinister.
The book has a very tasteful cover featuring a photo of intricate knotwork. Basically, he's handing Spinister a book on Shibari-esque rope bondage that has been tailored to those with wings and rotors.
"It's um... it can be really pretty, and it is intricate, detailed, exacting, and involves certain levels of trust." That sounds like something Needlenose and Spinster both might find intriguing.

Spinister pages through the offered book. If they did it in wire to make functional circuits? Yeah, Needlenose would go for that.
He nods curtly, agreeing, and he adds the book to the pile of stuff on his lap. Spinister points over at the register. This is enough, he thinks?

"Don't forget to wrap it up," Jetstorm says, pointing at some wrappings in an isle before the register. Some of the paper are obviously meant to imply what's inside the present, but others are simple colors. Jetstorm picks up a silvery sheened roll and holds it up.
"Perhaps?" he asks. If not, he'll put it back.

Misfire nods and starts to push Spinister toward the register. At Jetstorm's suggestion, the magenta jet pauses.
"Good idea. And I like that silvery one. Boss?" he asks Spinister, looking expectantly down at the Mayhem leader.
OOC: looks like we're to a good wrap (pun intended)? Want to end it on you post Spinister?

Spinister's optics visibly light up brighter at Jetstorm's selection. Needlenose's wings are silvery! If Needlenose didn't like silver, Needlenose wouldn't be silver. Unless Needlenose is just being silver ironically. Spinister gets a headache when Needlenose does things ironically. But Spinister is pretty sure that Needlenose is silver because Starscream, the 'Silver Snake', is silver and silver is therefore 'in'.
Oh, and Spinister can tie the wrapping paper on with elegant knotwork, because only squishies use tape, and he can wire up the knotwork so that if Needlenose unties it wrong, he'll get shocked. If Needlenose didn't want painful booby traps in his presents, Needlenose would date someone less dangerous, right?
Even Misfire likes the silvery wrapping paper. It's getting bought!
The End, unless Jetstorm has closing comments?
