Day 16, on board Ship semi-private to start
It has been a particularly long day few days for Shockwave. After the mockery which was Sentinel Prime's trial, the gunformer was locked into one case after another, mostly civil cases between folk who have either too little, or too much, money.
Now, he is on his way back to his quarters. Shockwave has his own projects to work on. Plus, he wants a nap.
Unfortunately, the black shadow about to descend on him will probably keep Shockwave from getting his way.

Scourge has absolutely no compunctions about getting all up on Shockwave's personal space. If he'd captured Nightbeat, he'd be dropping the body off on Shockwave's berth new, just for old time's sake. Instead, he has nothing but bad news to report. Scourge creeps up on his commander in the hallway and finally addresses, "Sir. I have some reports for you that I feel are better addressed verbally."

Shockwave doesn't flinch at Scourge's address, does not even pause in stride. Shockwave does, however step slightly to one side so that Scourge can move up alongside if the tanker so wishes.
"Then certainly I must have them in person," he says, "You have been rather busy of late, have you not?"

Scourge rubs the side of his helm, looking away for a moment. He admits distantly, "Busy's a good way of putting it, sir."
He's actually wringing his hand a bit now, though he doesn't seem to notice it. How does he want to put this? "The one Autobot's a Headmaster, but that's not... really... I. Uhm."
Better to plow through a t-bone collisions than mince like a simpering shark. "Blackarachnia's interested in me romantically."

As Scourge usual cool demeanor wavers, Shockwave turns his head to watch the tanker. Most odd, to see Scourge so discomfited. He seems almost embarrassed....
Ah.
That would do it.
"She seems the type to prefer matches with power, so I find her interest unsurprising." At least she is not bothering Shockwave.
"You seem bothered by this. Would you prefer her interest lay elsewhere?"

Scourge waves one arm and complains, "Ugh, you were right, sir! I don't know what I'm doing. I don't even know what I want."
He misses his team. He knows that much. he misses having people who are his.
Scourge's aware that Blackarachnia's probably just interested in him for his power. It's not like he has a sterling personality. So by the same coin, surely it is not unacceptable to use her to figure out this flirting business?

Shockwave stops and crosses his arms under his chest as he leans against the wall. No rest for the wicked, it seems.
"Deciding what you want would be an imperative. Even if you merely wish to use her as a sort of testing grounds for acquiring new skills, you should have an end goal in mind."
"Scourge, I am not given to such games, though I do understand them." Shockwave just fails in relationships because they are inherently illogical. "I can perhaps provide you with reference material if you so wish."
One headfin twitches, "Did you infer her interest, or did she come out and tell you?"

"Oh, she told me. Eventually," Scourge explains, waving a hand. After he made it clear her was denser than plutonium with regards to flirting. Scourge dips his head and replies earnestly, "I would appreciate any guidance, sir."
Being thrown off-balance by simple social interactions is annoying.

"Very well. I will compile some data for your perusal. I will take me a day or so."
That data will likely include movies of questionable content made during Shockwave's glorious reign, ones that mix in state propaganda with the flirting and naughty bits. There might also be a collection of clippings from the newspaper-equivalent's love and sex advice columnist. Plus more dry texts and studies on the subject, of course.
Scourge is sure to be a very confused tanker truck by the time this is done.
"I am rather glad of your taking this opportunity seriously. As I mentioned previous, this type of social interaction lends itself well to subterfuge."

"Thank you, sir," Scourge replies.
Not as confused as Scourge's roommates will be, why Scourge's watching a movie about the loyal Wrecker Springer engaging in some unorthodox distraction methods on those dirty rebels.
He visibly brightens as Shockwave encourages him, though he does wonder why Shockwave is encouraging him, if this is something that Shockwave himself won't do.
Okay, back to serious business. Scourge ahems. "Blackarachnia and I attempted to reconnoiter a weapons plant that she believed employed technology similar to Targetmaster partners. Eye-Fire tracked us down, for whatever reason. We realised that Nightbeat had also followed us. I snuck up behind him and got the drop on him, but as it turns out, his head is designed to come off."
Scourge rubs the back of his helmet and glares off at nothing in particular.

"Well, some of our ilk can survive beheading rather well- my own reality set, for example. I believe Blackarachnia mentioned that he is Headmaster in her database addendum."
Shockwave pushes off the wall and continues his walk to his chambers.
"So what have you learned about fighting the good Detective that will give you a more favorable result next time?"

"Nightbeat had back-up," Scourge adds. "The Autobot Seeker. She favours melee and is quite good at it. Downloading Nightbeat's powers had a profoundly negative effect on Blackarachnia. Next time, I'd go for torso strikes on the detective - easier to nail than head strikes. I've told Blackarachnia not to download any more binary bonded Autobots."

"Ah. Her name is Oracle. She has a most interesting ability; she can see into the future, as I recall. Most fascinating." Shockwave's tone of voice doesn't change, but still, his interest in the Autobot Seeker is clear. So if Scourge ever wants to bring Shockwave home a present, Scourge now knows what would make Shockwave very happy. "Hmm, she had a bad reaction to the Nebulan bond? She became ill?" OOC: Feel free to just sum up/gloss over the stuff w/ BA if you want.

One Autobot Seeker to drop off on Shockwave's head when he's defragging. Check.
"It's psychological, mostly," Scourge explains. "They aren't accepting of partial-organics in her reality." He snorts derisively. "Idiots. Though having the Autobot's partner rifling through her head can't have been pleasant. Weird security flaw, sir."
"Anyway, she installed my anti-gravs, so there's that, sir."
Scourge shakes his head. "So the business with Blurr..."

"Hmm, if that is the case, then that could partially explain why she finds you attractive," Shockwave says, when Scourge explains Blackarachnia's issues, "I wondered when you would finally get that upgrade. You will find the anti-gravs very useful."
They come to Shockwave's quarters. Scourge has been here a few times before. There have been a few decorative changes, but alas, still no ceiling ninjas.
"Ah yes, the Blurr incident. I was not expecting success. He is quite difficult to pin down." Shockwave moves into the sitting area and takes his customary seat. "And I do assume that it was not a success, else we would have spoken of this sooner."
