'Con Departure: Into the Darkness

All and all, the ships construction had gone remarkably well, and most quickly too. Not so surprising, Shockwave thinks, given who was behind the work. Hook, when his mind is to a project, can be quite relentless; but his work is always excellent.

And it is excellent work, though Shockwave has seen little enough of the ships insides. Hook is still working upon those even now, finishing some final details that are likely only important to the Constructicon.

Shockwave finishes his walkabout the ship, and is quite pleased. It is large, much larger than perhaps necessary, but provisions needed to be made for the possible arrival of larger mechs, plus there is the energy stores, quarters, and training areas. Those are very similar- according to Hook- to those in the base. One does not put this many mechs of violent temperament in an enclosed space for an indeterminate amount of time and not provide them some means of working of steam. Not the prettiest of ships, perhaps, but still pleasing enough, triangular in shape. Those versed in Earth culture might note how much the ship resembles certain heavenly body-destroying ships from a certain popular science fiction series.

Shockwave turns away from the ship, waiting. Others should be arriving soon per orders, and Shockwave imagines Starscream will have some grand speech to give.

[Screwdriver]

A rust colored motorcycle with spiked wheels rumbles into the area. It seems to hit something... at least, the front wheel stops and the back wheel raises into the air as the motorcycle starts to go end over end. It transforms midflip, however, and a doll-faced Junkion lands on her feet before leaping forward, springing off her hands, and then landing on her feet a second time. At this point she throws her head back and crows like a rooster, before pointing at the giant ship and shouting, "Second star to the right, and straight on 'til morning!"

She looks up at the giant vessel, eyes wide and expression pleased. She helped make the bird. Oh, sure, most of it is a mighty, proper Decepticon vessel, but here and there little Screwdriver thumbprints can be seen in the weapons systems, or some of the more... unconventional internal security systems. It's a dour old vulture, sure, but it has a few hidden surprises of a brighter nature.

[Dead End]

Dead End didn't have much to pack up; his important possessions are in his memory banks. He drives up the boarding ramp in Porsche mode and transforms at the top.

"Our very own Star Destroyer. Which one is Darth Vader and who gets to be Captain Needa?" Dead End chuckles darkly and heads in to find out which raving psychopath he's been assigned to as a cabin-mate.

[Jetstorm (BM)]

The tiny blue jet darts across the skies before almost 'skidding' to a halt in front of the ship. Jetstorm wasn't keeping tabs on how the ship was being built, it didn't really matter until this grand day. He hovered in vehicle form for a few moments, tilting his head upward to stare at it. He transforms and then...

Oh, hello Shockwave. The Vehicon's optics glance off to the side, hoping he didn't make 'eye contact' and then sighs and floats up, offering a salute the best he can. "Hello sir, good ship we have here," he says, before ducking his head and hoping he can get away with that. He makes a hopeful attempt at an exit, looking at the entrance of the ship.

[Mistwind]

"Toystore!" A cry fills the sky, Mistwind's admiring view taking in every inch of the ship. Of course, this ain't no such store, but it sure makes him ten thousand times more happy! The little Con stands waiting, fidgetting, jumping, squeeing. It's a spaceship!

Mistwind can't wait for the moment he may board; he'd be all over the place admiring, squealing and squeeking. Like he's doing now, just, worse.

[Shortround]

Shortround zooms over to the ship. He knows well about its design, being just about the Decepticon's only transport. Which, incidentally, gave him plenty of time to smuggle a few dozen boxes into what he hopes is an unused corner, hoping to keep them as hidden as possible from the many perceived threats his toys have.

Transforming when he reaches where everyone else is standing, he gives Dead End a look at the mention of those two characters, and sighs. He'll enjoy when they get to Earth, simply because there'll be more toys that he hasn't already pillaged. Shortround then stands around, waiting to see what else will happen.

[Hellbender]

Hellbender comes clomping up the ramp, each footfall an announcement that the big worm-former is very definitely coming. He stops near the top of the ramp to look back, frowning slightly. There's something wistful in his expression; the Mines were his domain, he dug them out the base from them and explored their deepest, darkest depths--and he's leaving that all behind.

Just like Midnight left behind the barracks on Darkmount to answer the call to battle Unicron, and never returned. Like the barracks, and the small squad he commanded, he's built up things here--though with all the mining and resource-hunting and hauling and building he's been doing, he feels more like a Constructicon than a heavy attack unit.

Nothing wrong with Constructicons; Hellbender feels the satisfaction of a job well done when he looks at the sharp, deadly lines of the starship, and figures Hook probably does, too. Hook probably feels better, because he's taking his work with him. The coal plants that Hellbender dug out the coal for, and help build? Those will be left behind, their job done.

It's going to be a long trip; there's not much use for a mning machine aboard a starship. At least he has a robot mode these days. His Creator is here, and that makes it home enough. If only some of his squadmates had turned up alive before they left...

[Counterpunch]

Counterpunch stalks towards the crowd, hands balled into fists, shoulders slouched, managing to look somehow rumpled despite being made of metal. Every glance is a glare and every glare is a challenge as he emanates an aura of, 'Stay the hell away.'

There's no lingering, worried look at Shockwave, or indeed, any of the other command members present. He's too damned practiced to slip up that way. Instead he just finds a spot and stands in place, arms crossed as he waits for the order to begin loading.

[Blackarachnia (BW)]

Blackarachnia scurries along a wall in her spider-mode. These are comparatively narrow corridors with a lot of people distracted or carrying large objects along--she doesn't want to get stepped on by some bulky inefficient old-model.

She notices Shockwave up ahead. "Blackarachnia, Terrorize." she says, transforming, performing a backflip and landing in front of the High Commander. "I'm all packed up. How much longer before we take off?"

[Eye-fire]

Eye-Fire arrives not too long after his room mate. Though to be honest, He's been spending most of his off time in the medbay on the gun rack Hook had installed after he and Eye-Fire struck a deal. Eye-Fire comes to a stop where most of the others are standing, casually taking in the magnificence of their space craft. Now he'll just have to see how useful he'll be in space.

Jetstorm's comments merely garner a nod from Shockwave. Jetstorm need not worry. So long as he does not pester Shockwave, he will be fine. Shockwave's curiosity about the little Vehicon has long ago been satisfied.

He watches as the others begin to gather- and as some even board, apparently not concerned about waiting for their illustrious leader to arrive and properly give the order. Ah well, yet another point for the Seeker to complain about to all and sundry.

Shockwave looks down at the Predacon at his feet. "Soon enough, I believe. We are still waiting on some, after all. And Starscream, who is finishing a final inspection, I believe."

[Fleetwind]

Fleetwind arrives, zooming in from overhead (although he still stays well over the heads of the crowd), pulling up, transforming and landing lightly on thruster feet. His arrives after the bulk of the group, but not so late as to be counted a straggler - a move most likely intentional on his part.

The Seeker, whom some, from some reality, might mistake for a Starscream-clone, glances around and watches the area warily, but does little to draw attention to himself. Sadly, there aren't really any other Seekers standing about, so he can't take advantage of the rules of Multi Seeker Invisibility.

[Misfire]

Within seconds of Fleetwind's landing, another jet also arrives. This jet, however, is no Seeker, and therefore Fleetwind must still suffer being visible. Poor thing.

Misfire banks as if to land, then transforms and tumbles down, using his anti-gravs to help him land lightly and gracefully next to Fleetwind. Misfire is very appreciative of the help the pastel Seeker has given him the past few months. The bits of aerial dance he has learned will come in handy, he's sure.

He gives a respectful nod toward Shockwave, then murmurs to Fleetwind, "I must say, I am not looking forward to all these personalities being cooped up on one ship for an indefinite period of time. Even one as big as this one."

[Skystrike/Skylar Stringers]

Skystrike lands in a relatively uncrowded spot without too much fanfare; run of the mill transform and land and then take the time to look like an over sized, blue stone statue. Great for garden decoration at least, although as a display of enthusiasm for the pending speech it didn't really work so well. Whatever intrigued gleam there was in the flier's optics was more aimed at the massive space ship before them.

At least Fleetwind can now enjoy some anonymity- well, ignoring the odd wing configuration anyhow.

[Long Range]

Long Range slowly saunters in, arms folded behind his back and with his usual mildly bored expression on his face. When he nears the crowd, he glances up at the ship, and then looks back down to the crowd before continuing and stopping behind them, standing taller than most.

He's not particularly impressed by the ship, though he won't say that out loud. He's seen Bigger and more menacing, and he doesn't even recognize the shape of the thing, having never been on earth and never bothering to try and get to grips with the human's culture.
