"Oh Holi," Clipper sighs in that likely infuriatingly condecending tone of hers when she's trying to play the mature card. "You don't have to be sorry. Just be yourself. You're the Captain of the Rescue Patrol, after all. What is there for the Captain of the Rescue Patrol to be nervous about?" Besides little ole her, that is, and that does soothe her jangled nerves a bit as she stifles that little sliver of smugness threatening to taint her expression.
And she totally isn't leaning into him just the tiniest bit. That's all in his imagination. These aren't the droids you are looking for.
Honest. Ahem.
"Space travel? It's..." Her optics are drawn back forward again, into the blackness. "Big." Up here, though, she's got a good view of a really stunning nebula glowing in the void in the distance in so many shades of blue and gold and red and green. She's never seen anything like it before, and it's new enough and so pretty that it gives her something to distract her from the way the void makes her fuel pump flutter.
Or maybe that's just Holi being so near. Hard to tell.
"But I think I like it." Space travel, too. Heh.

Briefly, Holi gets that jutted chin, lower lip stuck out sulking look that he always gets when Clipper brushes him off because she always does it acting like he's just a goofy little kid and it isn't as though he doesn't get enough of that from his friends. It actually stings more when she does it because his patrol will still stick with him even if they think he's just a goof, but if Clipper thinks that, there's nothing stopping her from just dumping him and finding a cooler, more mature boyfriend.
But she hasn't done that yet, so Holi puts aside sulking to beam at her instead. Why? Because she doesn't hate space travel! And maybe he's plotting future trips for just the two of them if they ever get home. He's so busy plotting, in fact, that Clipper leaning toward him doesn't quite register.
"That's great!" he chirps. "You don't need to worry, either. It's a splendid ship and all our comrades are here to help." But then he pauses and rethinks that last statement, some of the less agreeable Autobots coming to mind. "…Most of them are here to help. Everything will be fine!"

The pout only earns a fraction more inscrutability from Clipper, and perhaps a minute upward shift of one brow ridge as she watches the sulk flick across his features. She'd would never in a million years admit this to him, but there's just something so boyishly adorable about that particular expression. Well, there is when it's not tainted with shadows of genuine hurt, that is.
Her fuel pump skitters a few beats when his expression changes, and she finds herself tilting her shin down a little, watching him more from the corners of her optics than before, just an air of coyness as he beams so happily at her. She's starting to feel more at ease now, despite herself and the unfamiliarity of being enveloped by all that space out there, with every one of those smiles he gives her. His confidence is contaigious.
Probably one of many qualities that makes him such a good Captain.
"I know it is, and I know they are," she agrees with a tiny little shrug, and perhaps it has a faintly bashful air. "But I'm not used to it yet. I'll get there. I promise."
She hopes, at least.
"Besides, I have the best Rescue Captain in the universe here. What could happen?" Is that a hint of a coy smile there? Surely not.

"I–" She's complimenting him! Bragging about him! Does he bask in it or play humble? Gah! "I'll do my best! Eheh!" is what Holi says instead, one hand on the back of his head. He can't stop himself from making the very same stupid, goofy, bashful grin he didn't want to make.
It's a good thing there's no-one else here to poke him just because his girlfriend can turn him stupid. He actually likes not being laughed at over it.

Clipper can't help but grin a little to herself, and there might, just maybe, be a hint of satisfaction in that expression of amusement. Perhaps. Seeing Holi get all... goofy and self-conscious like that always makes her feel so... warm and giggly inside.
"I know you will," she replies happily. "You always do." She has the best boyfriend in the universe. All of them.
She doesn't even realize that she's leaning against him as much as she is, until she ends up resting her head on his shoulder. It feels right, though, and space seems a lot nice now than it had just a few minutes ago.

Clipper is leaning on him. Clipper is snuggling with him. If Holi wasn't already trying not to be tense, he'd practically be vibrating by now. Simply out of sheer elation.
But he can't let himself ruin this. It takes a lot of effort to relax and go with it because he can't be nervous. If he's nervous, he'll upset Clipper again and he can't have that because then she won't want to cuddle up like this. Probably not ever again. This is his chance; he has to try at the very least. Slowly, carefully, cautiously, he works his arm up to wrap around Clipper's shoulders and the whole time he's just hoping she doesn't scream at him.

Not ever might be a bit of an exaggeration... but she certainly would not let him forget blowing this for a good, long while. Clipper is actually sort of expecting him to dissolve into a gibbering pile, a little. Not that she wants him to, no; she waiting with just a hint of her own tension and a hovering sense of resignation for him to fall apart.
But he doesn't. He stays calm, cool, and shockingly relaxed, even as he so subtly shifts and she feels his arm gently, almost hesitantly, settle around her shoulder. It feels... nice. Very nice. She will, of course, have to deflate his ego before they go their seperate ways from here, but... right now?
She's just too comfortable to worry about thinking up a way to do that. Maybe later.

Holi would have gone to pieces if Clipper had snuggled like this before – before he found himself here, with these other Autobots. But he isn't thinking about that. He's just thinking about how nice it is to have a quiet moment with her. No teasing, no jeering, just him and her and the stars….
"I'm… I'm glad you're here," he admits very shyly, very quietly, still not quite able to shake all the bashfulness. He doesn't say he's glad she didn't slap him for being forward, but there's that, too, and he tightens his arm just a little bit around her in a lopsided sort of hug.

Holi is so terribly sweet. And for the first time since waking up in that broken down, old, abandoned zoo back on Gilannan, Clipper feels... like she's home. Safe and warm and conforted, and home.
"Why?" she asks sweetly. Perhaps a little too sweetly as she folds her hands neatly in her lap. "Were you cold?"
She laughs softly, pulling her legs up to curl up under her, which just tilts her more closely against him. She rubs her cheek against his shoulder, softly nuzzling, before she adds in a small, quiet murmur, "I'm glad you're here, too."

"I missed you," Holi murmurs, for once just letting the teasing roll off his back. He's also trying very hard not to let himself get all choked up. "I… really missed you." His arm around her shoulders tightens and his expression is a pensive one. He's glad she's here, but at the same time, she's here, where there could be a battle any time, rather than safe on Micro where the defence forces and God Ginrai stand watch. "And I promise… I won't let anything bad happen to you."

Clipper has never heard that tone in Holi's voice before; it makes her core do little flip-flops inside her chasis. She twists a little against him, lifting her head up off of his shoulder to look up at him thoughtfully. All of her fears and anxieties about Holi finding someone new, they evaporate like dreams of mist when he looks at her like that, and holds her so tightly. New anxieties rear up in their stead.
How will I ever be worthy of this?
She isn't sure yet, but she'll have to find a way. Oh, her Captain. Her brave, wonderful, handsome Captain, and his gallant, humbling vow. She twists another fraction so that she can press her lips to his cheek in a very soft, chaste little kiss before settling back down against him, one hand resting upon his chest. "And I promise not to be a burden."

Any other time, any other circumstances, that gentle little kiss would make Holi dissolve into a starstruck mess. Clipper just has that effect on him. But this time, he simply blushes and tugs Clipper a little closer to his side.
"You aren't a burden," he murmurs firmly. Why, if it wasn't for her, he probably wouldn't have become a patrol leader. Oh, he joined the security forces well before they met, but it was while staring at her that he blundered into Governor Raikuru's attention, and therefore to God Ginrai's attention as well. Everything was uphill – in more than one sense of the word – from there. "…Okay?" and he gets a little more daring, leaning his head against hers.

"Hm." It's neither agreement nor disagreement, mainly because Clipper doesn't want to argue right now. (Which should be shock enough in and of itself, to begin with.) That doesn't stop her from plotting in the back of her mind just when she's going to drag Holi off to the simulator room to make him start teaching her how to defend herself better.
She's just not going to argue about it right now is all. She feels so comfortable with him leaning against her and vice versa (and he didn't even dissolve into a gibbering pile when she kissed him this time!), that she's not even sure she's going to bother poking a pin in his ego later like she'd planned. She can always do that... some other day.
Yeah. That's it. Some other day.
ooc: looks like a good spot to end maybe?

Well, she isn't arguing. Holi takes that as a good sign to leave the subject lie and just be glad for the happy, quiet moment he hadn't expected. He can show her around the ship later.
OOC: I think we can wrap it up, yeah.
