"Pure black is also far less stealthy than people assume," Fleetwind observes as Eye-fire talks about the questions it raises. "Few things in nature are pure black, so unless you're sneaking around in absolute darkness, in which case it doesn't matter what color you are, pure black's actually going to make you more noticable."
And perhaps that is why Decepticons use so much dark purple and dark blue!
Doesn't explain Fleetwind, but really, his color scheme is a reasonable one for flying in a sky containing a sun.
Fleetwind accepts the hand placed on his shoulder, though he makes no move to sidle into it. He looks up at Misfire and gives a nod. "Sensible, that."

"Form and effectiveness over paintjobs." Skystrike nods. Now they're talking about how creepy Spinister is though and she idly arches a brow as she lines up the last of the holes on Eye-Fire's shoulder.
Finishing screwing in the last screw, Skystrike leans back and hands the sniper back his screwdriver. She could have exhorted some form of payment from him but the gun-former just happened to come in and annoy them when the berkut was feeling generously apathetic.

"Funnily enough, my paint job helps my effectiveness. My secondary function being that of an agent of terror as people go insane jumping at shadows after I've been around, tales of a tall, faceless, jet black menace is better than tales about a tall, faceless, sky blue terror." Eye-Fire explains as the takes the screwdriver and tests his other arm.
"Thankfully I was deployed on Cybertron most of the time. trying to camouflage myself on earth with mud is not an experience i want to relive." Eye-Fire says as he shakes his head about from side to side, getting up to leave, not that he'll do so immediately, still stretching a bit.

Oh good, Eye-Fire is fixed. Now, if he can just manage to not make the same mistake again, maybe they can return to having some semblance of peace and quiet.
Misfire's hand drops from Fleetwind's shoulder. The Targetmaster wasn't expecting anything in the form of reciprocation. He's just a more touchy feel mech than most 'Cons. Truthfully, Misfire is glad Fleetwind didn't react violently.
"You know, I think I'm in the mood to fly." he muses aloud, "Anyone else?"

"Glad you're in one piece, Eye-Fire," Fleetwind says softly. What he does not add is, 'because it means you can leave,' and his tone is polite enough that it isn't implied. But he thinks it anyway.
Then he stands once more, turns towards Misfire, and considers, a slight smile on his face. "Hmm. A flight does sound nice. Sim-room, or corridors?"

"Go." Skystrike intones flatly, finally beginning to get annoyed with Eye-Fire's insistent presence. The sniper didn't get the 'go away' vibes the room had beforehand so blunt honesty should just about do it. If it didn't, the berkut had no objections to being a tall, sky blue terror and tossing him into a recycler.
The mention of flying somewhat inevitably draws her attention and she hums thoughtfully before turning to Misfire. Flying would be good. She could survive not-flying for much, much longer, but not-flying was such a dull and irritating state of existence at the moment.

And with that, Eye-Fire leaves, the clank of his feet on the deck plating announcing he's actually going away and not just standing outside the door.
Ghost, the second and decidedly creepier personality that hides in Eye-Fire, ponders whether or not to go back into the vents and see if he can't find another way into the three fliers room, one that would be less noticeable.
You know. For science. The Science of Assassination.

Yay! Misfire has partners in flight!
Aimless kicks back on the berth. "Count me out. Gonna take a nap. You boys have fun." And yes, there is a bit of amusement in his voice.
Misfire crosses his arms, fingers of one hand tapping on the opposite arm as he considers Fleetwind's question. "Well, the sim-room gives us more options of landscape. But the corridors might prove more of a real challenge, given the twists and turns, and the possibility of having to dodge people. Which gives that option an edge in my book. "
"But," he frowns, "Isn't that likely to get us in trouble, though?"

Fleetwind tilts his head and gives an innocent, wide-eyed expression.
"No rule against flying in the halls has been made," he points out calmly. "In fact, Jetstorm flies in the hallways all the time!" The Seeker smiles and hops up on his toes. "I imagine things'll be fine as long as none of us crash!"

"Don't fly into anyone important either." Skystrike adds. Just because there were no rules in place yet didn't mean it wouldn't change. Not like that would stop hallway flying though, Decepticon fliers being Decepticon fliers and all.

"Yeaaaah," he nods at Skystrike, "Don't want to irk off command. Or the Mayhems." Misfire's wings twitch a bit.
"How 'bout a combination of the two? It's a decent way to the sim-room from here. We race there, then pick out a good scenario so we can really stretch our wings?"
Now, Misfire has said the word "race," and he knows that someone is likely to advantage of his waiting for an answer to jump the gun, so to speak. But he isn't worried about that. After all, it's all in fun.

"Well, I'm not much of a racer," Fleet observes softly, "but I'll see what I can do."
With that, he exits into the hallway and, much as Misfire expected, he takes off, transforming and zooming through the hallways!
Moved to Hallway Racing.

Just mentioning the word 'race' was practically a challenge these days. Skystrike shakes her head as Fleetwind darts out of the room but follows soon after, transforming and jetting off as soon as her feet touched the floor outside.
Hallway Racing!
