]This goes at the top right? Day 20, right after Optimus and Elita's radio conversation. Um, Semi-Private thread, please ask before posting in.
Elita-1 is very, very irked.
She trusts Optimus, of course. How could she not? If he says she needs to not go and give Sentinel hugs and welcome then there must be a Really Good Reason. She'd bet her aft it has something to do with whatever Optimus wouldn't tell her when she arrived, about why he left the Academy and all that.
So she understands, and she'll comply, but she isn't happy about it. Which is probably quite evident in how her arms are crossed over her chest, the way her foot is tapping impatiently on the floor, and the way her lips are drawn in a very thin line. She is waiting.
But she won't wait much longer.

"--go offline! Time I thought I had." Optimus takes his hand off his communicator, hoping that's the last of the tellings-off he'll be receiving before the big one--Elita herself.
He is currently making his way through Event Horizon's many corridors in the hopes of finding her. And find her he does.
Unfortunately, he's not the happy relaxed self he was last week. His face portrays the concern he was trying so well to hide back then.
"Uh.. Hi." He mumbles. "You... might want to sit down."

"No, I might not!" she snaps.
"I'm not some frail little thing! I am not going to faint and fall out because I hear something upsetting."
She starts to pace then, hands behind her back. She hates this waiting and wondering; she wants to be off and doing.
"Why can't I see him? What happens to us three that makes my being here such a big deal?"

OOC: Elita-babes there asked me over, and what kind of man would I be if I refused that invite? If you got a serious problem with me showing up, lemme know, and I can bugger off.
Slam slam slam go Sentinel Prime's heavy footfalls as he tromps through the corridors of the Event Horizon.
His distinct bellow can be heard, "Who lays a ship out like this? Couldn't they make a map? Ugh!"
One may surmise that he is lost, from the frustrated tenor of his voice.
Then, he rounds a corner, takes in the scene, and he's more than lost.
Sentinel Prime looks like a man who has seen a ghost.
Or an angel.

Scrap it, this talk isn't going as he had hoped. Then again, what did Optimus hope would happen in a conversation like this?
Time to play all the cards on the table. "Some time later, in your life, the three of us went to an organic planet, and..."
And then Sentinel shows up. Perfect.
Of course, this is someone who runs off at the vocalizer. Best to fill him before he blurts out the wrong thing. "Sentinel! She... she doesn't know yet. I was just telling her."

If Elita-1 wasn't in such a state, she would be quite glad to see Sentinel. However, the almost dumbstruck expression on Sentinel's face just irks her off more.
She stops in her pacing and stamps her foot, one arm flinging out hard to point at Sentinel even as her optics are fixed on Optimus.
"Tell me what!?! Look at him, he's practically gobsmacked! As if he never...never expected to see me again. It's the way you looked at me, too!"
Her voice lowers. "I'm not stupid, Optimus, nor oblivious. Tell me what happens." She shoots a hard look over at Sentinel. "Both of you."

Sentinel Prime shoots a look of pure hatred and loathing at Optimus Prime. If looks could kill, the Ghostbusters would be rushing in to banish Optimus Prime's ectoplasm. Sentinel Prime snarls, "That old lying bucket of bolts! Kup didn't tell me you were here!" Sentinel Prime always assumes malice, even when a sane explanation may be much more obvious and fit the facts better. The 'you' in question would seem to be Elita-1.
He points an accusing finger at Optimus Prime, like he'd rather be pointing his lance, and he demands, "Get away from her, you washout! Or are you going to leave her for dead again and tell me that your stupid scanner can't find her life-force while you hold me back from looking for her?"
His optics narrow, and his tone turns cold, stabbing at Optimus Prime, "Or have you not been 'bot enough to tell her? Guess you're not 'bot enough to do much of anything, these days."
Sentinel Prime looks over Elita-1, that gobsmacked wonder still in his expression, and his blustery demeanour softens just a mite. Softer and quiet, he asks, "Did he tell you?"
Not trusting Optimus Prime to scurry away like a good little curr, Sentinel Prime makes a grab for Elita-1. In his head, it's going to end up something like the famous Sailor Kiss. In reality, it may end up more like Sentinel Prime falling flat on his chin, given his luck.

Switching post order with Optimus per okay by his player.
Despite her bravado, and the fact that she was halfway expecting something like this (well not exactly), Sentinel's oh-so-gentle delivery of the news that she is dead has her looking back and forth between her two best friends in shock.
"He hasn't told me anything; you haven't given him a chance! I- hey!" She sidesteps Sentinel's attempt at smooching, then tries to whack him hard (but not too hard) across the back of his head as he (possibly falls) leans forward. "No hugs until I get some slagging explanations!"
Yes, Elita just cursed. Sorta. And looks a bit shocked at herself for thinking a lot worse than she said. Maybe she shouldn't have spent that day on rock watch with Rattrap.

Oh gee, thanks, Sentinel. That saves Optimus from having to tell her with something pesky like a little sensitivity.
When he tries to grab her, Optimus tries to stop "Sentinel--!" The bedside manner of a brick, that one.
He tries again, and hopes that Sentinel will have the good sense to keep quiet during his explanation. "We went to this planet, where we were attacked. We were seperated from Sentinel. We tried to escape an attack from a colony of organic arachnids... I was the only one of the pair of us to make it out. We scanned for your signature, but you weren't there.:
After a moment reflecting in silent shame, he raises his head. "I'm sorry, Elita. I wish I knew how to explain this sooner."
OOC: Just to clarify for you guys, the pose order is now Elita, Optimus, Sentinel, until it changes again. So, Sentinel's up now!

Sentinel Prime is whacked over by Elita-1's light smack, and he hits the floor. From his position in a face-plant, he groans, "Glad to see you, too."
After Optimus Prime is done giving the story where he doesn't own up to things that Sentinel Prime blames him for at all, Sentinel Prime concludes, "And that is why you can't be too cautious around organic creatures. They could turn on you at any time! But you don't have to worry about that now. I'm not letting you die again."
Yes, clearly, via sheer bullheaded stubbornness, he can ward off the Reaper.
Sentinel Prime pushes up on one knee and then back to standing, dusting himself off. After a moment of thought, he pulls out some wipes to wipe down. Can't be looking all scuffed around the ladies.
He glares over at Optimus Prime and corrects, "You scanned for her. You said there was nothing." Seems Sentinel Prime has a major chip on his shoulder.
Sentinel Prime narrows his optics and asks Elita-1, "How long have you been in this pop stand, anyway?"

Elita manages to not look quite like a turbofox caught in headlamps, but only just. So, not only does she die at some point between her pull point and Optimus's and/or Sentinel's, they don't even go and double check....
They just...leave her there?
Did she mean so little?
But there isn't time for self-pity. Optimus and Sentinel are bickering, as usual, but there's a much nastier edge to it than she's used to. That isn't right. They're all supposed to be friends. After cycling air for a moment she speaks, calmer.
"Quit blaming each other, and yourselves. If I...didn't make it out, then I didn't make it out, and it's my own fault for going along with what I'll bet was an unauthorized trip off-world." She gives Sentinel a Look. Because such a plan would be just like him.
"And I've been here about seven cycl- days, Sentinel." She's trying to use the more common terms she's heard here. "And I imagine Kup just forgot about me. I haven't been permanently assigned yet, and he and I haven't had many dealings since I showed up."
"So, can I get a timestamp for my death, so that maybe I can avoid it, should we eventually return to our own realities?"

Optimus can easily retrieve the timestamp of that fateful day, it cycles through his processor regularly. He gives it to Elita. "But then again, perhaps the best way to avoid it is to not travel to off-limits planets in pursuit of ill-gotten energon." He doesn't glare at anyone in particular, it was Sentinel's idea but Optimus agreed, and all three of them arrived.
It's only now that Optimus notices Sentinel's new bodyform. Huh. That looks human. Does he arrive on earth in his future? He'll have to ask Prowl.
"And since we are giving time stamps, here is mine." Optimus' places him during the events of Transform and Roll Out, precious days before Starscream's assault on New Detroit.
Of course, Sentinel has to butt in on everything. "Yes, I scanned, which you accepted at the time. Besides, that doesn't need to matter anymore. Despite our past mistakes," note the emphasis, Sentinel, "She's back. This feud between us... we don't have to continue it anymore."

Sentinel Prime spreads his hands out, palms up, protests to Elita-1, "But I at least wanted to look for you!" This is actually true. He glares over at Optimus Prime.
He snaps, "Kup was supposed to be the security director of his Cybertron, and Kup can't be a very good security officer if he just forgets things! So either he was incompetent or lying!"
Somewhere, sometime, Sentinel Prime got on the Paranoia Truck, and he hasn't left it since.
Sentinel Prime pauses and exclaims, "Seven cycles? It took Maintenance Prime there that long to warn you? Sounds like someone was trying to get his story in a straight, palatable package."
Pot, meet kettle.
Not continue the feud? Sure, Sentinel Prime remembers grudgingly thanking Optimus Prime, but he also remembers Optimus Prime using his head as a bowling ball, busting him for using a Decepticon bounty hunter, handcuffing him, and generally being a pain in the skidplate. This Optimus Prime may not have done any of that yet, but Sentinel Prime doesn't get hung up on details like that.

"Oh for..." Elita fights very hard not to roll her optics as Sentinel rails about Kup and then continues to act as if Optimus is the devil incarnate. And Optimus...once more tries to keep the peace.
She has to think a bit about Optimus. He should have told her, she thinks, but she can understand why he hadn't yet. Logically, anyway. But that is for later, when she can be alone with her thoughts. Right now, she needs to calm Sentinel down.
"Sentinel," she starts, walking over to him. She tries to place one hand on his shoulder and the other on the side of his neck. "Sentinel, listen to me," she entreats softly, "No one is perfect, and no one here is out to deliberately mislead you. Mistakes happen."
She sighs and tries to lean her head against Sentinel's shoulder. "I'm not asking for things to be how they were- how they still are for me. Just...put aside the hate for a little while, okay?"
"We don't know how much time we'll have together here, after all."

For the most part, Optimus will let Sentinel just say whatever he wants about him. It's easier that way. And when it comes to his decisions on that day, well, Optimus' guilt will simply allow him to believe that Sentinel was telling the truth.
But now Elita is here. And in front of her, Sentinel now accusing him of lying, or hiding the truth, from her.
Now it's a different story.
Optimus's fists clench as he takes a step forward. "All right, you know what, I've just about had it with you. You've said a lot of scrap in your time, Sentinel, but if you ever think again about accusing me of keeping the truth from Elita...!"
