Skyblast likes being a jet. But he doesn't have to be a jet, and he's not always a jet. He can be anything he wants that masses the same as him and is reasonably technological! Certainly, his current artistic passion requires at least a flighted form, but that could change. Skyblast is a Transformer. His nature is to change.
Skyblast looks mock-cross and waves a hand dismissively. "Tsk. You come from a reality with so many fliers than you can stereotype our tastes? I must say, I am disappointed in all of them, if they've led a gem like you to become intellectually lazy by their uniformity. What have they led you to expect, then?" His golden optics narrow. What expections is Mirage imposing upon him? Into what box does he seek to stuff the painter?
A score to settle with Override? How terribly interesting! His panels ripples and shuffle. But he mustn't gossip and mustn't pry.
Sim room? Also interesting. Skyblast hasn't played with it much, that imitation of reality. Too much like art but without enough soul.
Skyblast replies, "As if I would ever use anything other than extreme care in a finished product? Why, I'd dry every piece just so," and he tries to take Mirage's nearer hand and blow gently on Mirage's fingers."

"Oh, I've known my share of fliers, sweetheart. They aren't rare in my reality," Mirage says, "They just tend, in my experience, to prefer their own, and to only occasionally dabble with the ground bound."
Though Mirage would never try to fit his lovely and fascinating partner into a box. Skyblast is far too unique to be pigeonholed.
But yes, sim room, and they should be there very soon. However, if Skyblast keeps blowing on Mirage's hand and making the spy shiver like that, they might wind up in the nearest empty room instead!

Autobot fliers are fairly rare in Skyblast's reality. Breakaway gets attention simply for being a flier. Skyblast prefers to get his attention by flying well.
Skyblast snorts and opines, "Shame on them! They're missing out on such wonderful variety. In my reality, they'd hardly get any action, with attitudes like that."
He does release Mirage's hand, bounding forward a few steps to peer at the sim room, just in case Mirage set up any exciting tripwires ahead.

No tripwires! Mirage is wanting to spoil his artistic lover, not teach him stealth tricks! Mirage makes a point of noting that the room is in use, along with a request that people radio before just barging in. He then calls up the scenario he'd planned out for this encounter. Once he found out he could use the place for recreation and not just training, the spy has been making good use of it. One they step through the door, they will seem to be in a large and spacious building. The ceiling is made of transparent panels, with the stars easily visible above. The architecture of the building itself is intricate and lovely, and it is filled with sculptures, photographs, and paintings. Mirage gestures at the lot. "It isn't much, but I've been combing my memories in an attempt to recreate as closely as possible some of the more well-known works of my world's artists. I thought, perhaps, you might be interested in studying them, if only to compare the styles to your own." OOC: Please feel free to add whatever details of artwork and architecture you might like! It's worth noting that Mirage's memory isn't infallible, so there are likely some mistakes and imperfections that aren't the original artists' fault.

Skyblast looks up first. Perhaps his head really is in the clouds. Stars. Does he know those stars? He reaches a hand out, finger twitching as he compares them to the maps in his head.
Mirage's words draw him down, and he looks over the art. Hmm! Oooh, little floaty crystals suspending in aether! Very sparkly and attention-getting!
But Skyblast's attention span is pretty short, and he's soon trying to grab Mirage's hand and drag him off to a mosaic of two gladiators fighting, each combatant with the sculpted looks of a Greek god.

Mirage is content to be dragged along wherever Skyblast desires. He hopes this reaction is indication that he has in some small pleased the skypainter.
When they reach the mosaic, Mirage tries to wrap an arm around Skyblast and hold him close.
"This was from a time when the gladiator pits were less bloodsport and more honorable training grounds, I think," Mirage shakes his head, then adds "At least, that was the original intention. It did not take us long to corrupt the ideal." Perhaps there is a touch of bitterness in his tone, but it does not linger long.
He smiles down at Skyblast. "Have I pleased you?"

Skyblast looks over the mosaic, particularly at the sleek yellow figure, who perhaps appears to be a Cybertronian sports car of some sort, and he considers just how the figure is rendered in painstaking tiny tiles. He pronounces, "This part was a self portrait." He looks up at Mirage for confirmation. "Wasn't it?"
Sunstreaker. Gladiator. Mosaic artist. Who knew?
Skyblast purrs, "You have always pleased me. This is even better."

Mirage's expression grows thoughtful. "I'm not sure, to be honest. Sunstreaker never said. It just showed up in one of the galleries one day. My sources said it was an anonymous gift, and the only stipulation was that it never be sold." Mirage snorts. "People name me arrogant, but I am nothing compared to him. As he was not the most pleasant of individuals, though, we seldom talked."
Mirage tries to bundle Skyblast into his arms and give him a short, but sweet and gentle kiss. "I am glad you like this. I would do more, if I could. You'd be quite spoiled when I was done." Mirage smirks.
"What makes you think he was the creator?"

"Sunstreaker?" Skyblast asks, rolling the name over in his mouth. He's never heard of a Sunstreaker. What does the name say, really? Someone who runs around in the light... in the spotlight? Hmm. Mirage did say the fellow was arrogant. So Skyblast saves his comment that the man is easy on the optics.
Skyblast is, if nothing else, portably sized, as he is yoinked into Mirage's arms. he does try to bend one of his legs back and hook it over Mirage's shoulder. That is what Mirage gets for grabbing overly flexible little jets!
When that kiss is over - over too soon, perhaps, but he's barely skimmed the surface of Mirage's 'gallery' yet- Skyblast extends his hand toward the work but does not touch it, even though he knows none of this is real. His fingers twitch. "Little subtleties that tell me the the yellow one was done from recordings and mirrors, but his opponent was observed in the field, live. Perhaps close up."

Skyblast could comment, if he wished. Mirage must admit that Sunstreaker is quite handsome, even if he is a total horror to deal with in social settings. Besides, Mirage is not the type to be jealous or huffy about a partner expression appreciation for another mech.
Nor will Mirage complain about Skyblast's wrapping himself 'round Mirage, and the spy helps the skypainter maneuver so that he is sitting on Mirage's shoulders, since that seems to be Skyblast's goal. Mirage chuckles, then tilts his head back to smirk up at his friend.
"I haven't had a lover who could clamber over me in such a manner before. I think I like it." He tries to nuzzle his head against the inside of Skyblast's thigh for a moment as he points to Sunstreaker's opponent.
"Close up would be accurate. Sideswipe is his brother, and I always wondered as to why the artist faced them against one another. There was no true animosity between them of which I am aware."
"Now, shall we continue down the line of paintings and whatnot, or perhaps examine some of the sculptures?"

Skyblast's goal was indeed to end up on Mirage's shoulders, and that nuzzle along his thigh confirms it as a fun place to be, indeed. He tries to lightly folds his hands atop Mirage's helmet and looks around the virtual gallery from his loftier perch.
Skyblast asks, "Hmm, your reality was lacking in people shorter than you, too?" Or perhaps people shorter than Mirage that Mirage found worth pursuing.
"His brother. Huh. My Sideswipe doesn't have a Sunstreaker or a brother at all, as far as I know. Showing two people in combat does not necessarily imply animosity. He may simply have wanted to include his kin in the mosaic."
"Hmm. Sculptures. I'm hungry for variety right now."

"Mmm, not really lacking them, no," Mirage answers. He just trends toward partners equal to or taller than he. "Just not so many in my circles."
Mirage does not protest however Skyblast chooses to settle himself. The spy does, however, lift an arm up to try and just rest his hand on at the small of the jet's back. Partially, the gesture is to help steady Skyblast. But it also allows Mirage to occasionally tease and trace seams, if Skyblast doesn't object.
"Variety, eh?" Mirages tone is teasing, "I'm rather fond of such myself."
He walks over to stand under a hanging mobile composed of delicately balanced crystal rods and silver wire, with intricately carved stones suspended by filament from the main structure. Situated as Skyblast is, he should have no trouble examining the structure however he wishes.

Lacking people shorter than Mirage that Mirage found worth pursuing, then!
Skyblast does allow the hand, welcoming it even, leaning back slightly.
He comments, "This would be a lot more fun if there was some wind in here."

On cue, a light breeze begins to blow through the room, and the mobile begins to move. The carved crystals reflect the lighting above the mobile in a myriad of ways, sending multi-colored patterns all about.
As the mobile spins, there is the faintest tinkling tune to be heard.
Mirage grins up at Skyblast.
"You were saying, love?"

Skyblast's head whips around, as he tries to find the source of the phantom wind, and he asks, "Would it be too much to hope that another work is bringing the breeze?"
