OOC: Day 30, hull of the Event Horizon, open.
A twist is enough to keep him from being centered for Scourge's shot, but the blast still rips across his left side, leaving a deep gouge along his midsection, front to back. The movement, and the associated twist of the cable, are enough to keep that difficult target from being blasted full-on by Waspinator's stingers, though the shot still grazes his anchor cable, parting a few of the individual threads, fraying the lines.
None of this is enough to stop Rodimus's forward charge, and he slams into Scourge, tackling him to the hull. He allows the other end of the cable sail past them both until it hits the hull, where it latches on in a second spot.

Scourge is slammed up against the hall by his unlikely opposite number among the Autobots. Something about the slant of his optics seems to suggest a smile, of all things, like he's in on a joke that Rodimus Prime isn't.
He sinks a hand into the hull, digging his fingers in deep as they'll go and then brings a knee up and in against his chest before thrusting it out, trying to knee Rodimus Prime hard enough in the chest to dislodge him from the grapple.
//No storm's going to save you this time.//
A solar storm would be more the opposite of helpful.

The knee lands, but before Scourge can push Rodimus away he shifts, letting the leg skim his right side, adding an ugly dent to balance out the plasma gouge on the left. The process of shifting also lets him hook the cable with the upper 'headlight' section of his shoulder so that the cable effectively pushes him down against the hull (and Scourge).
The right corner of his lips pulls up in a smirk.
//Guess what?// he asks as his right hand retracts. At a range, Rodimus has the Photon Eliminator, his pipes, and his trailer, but Scourge has missiles, plasma, and a better armed trailer (and don't think Rodimus isn't jealous). At melee range, Rodimus has fist and his pipes, while Scourge has a sword. But a sword is hard to use at grapple range, and Rodimus has...
...the slender blade that now emerges to replace his hand, one that starts rotating quickly, until it appears as a single disk. He attempts to bring it down against the missile battery on Scourge's left shoulder.
//I don't need it!//

The rotary blade bites into his shoulder, but since Scourge's leg has slid past Rodimus's chest and up his side, he tries to hook it around Rodimus Prime's waist so that he can twist and violently throw Rodimus Prime off of him and slam him against the ship. The line pressing them down may cause this entanglement to become even more tangled.
//You need more help than you can get, Rodimus.//

Rodimus is, indeed, twisted around and slammed against the hull of the ship, a move that elicits an inaudible grunt. The move also does get him further tangled into the line... though with all that twisting, Scourge may find himself now held down by the cable as well!
Rodimus then snorts.
//And you need better threats!// he answers, attempting to blast Scourge in the chest with the electroblasters on his pipes. As ranged weapons go, those pipes are placed rather conveniently for use up close as well!

Scourge is shot in the chest. It cracks his fake windows, the ones he has to make him feel better about himself.
This did not go as well as he hoped it would, but at least he's on top now. He scoffs back, //And you need better attacks. Barrage attack!//
The missiles in his shoulders go flying, and he tries to push away, but the cord might prevent that.

And this would be why Rodimus was going after those things with the buzzsaw... hopefully at least a few have been disabled?
Not nearly enough, either way. Rodimus turns and lifts his left arm, attempting to take as much of the impact in the arm and back rather than the chest that he can. The pipes on that arm are torn clean off, that side of his spoiler is shattered and destroyed, and the armor along his side and back is left charred, cracked, and warped, causing him to cry out in pain. He is pushed back as far as the cable allows, but as that turns out, that's... not very far.
He swaps back to his right hand from the buzzsaw, and clutches at his shoulder - at this point, he's so tangled in the cord that he doesn't have to actively hang onto it to stay in place. Then he smirks up at Scourge.
//A better man makes do with less,// he answers. Admitting that his weapons might just be inferior to Scourge's? Maybe. But he's used to square off against Galvatron. He's used to making due with less.
//I don't even have to beat you. All I have to do is dislodge you,// he adds, grabbing a hold of the cable with his left hand once more so he can rip the line apart with his left, attempting to yank it out far enough to either force Scourge off-balance or, better yet, fling him away.
Too bad this means he's now anchored down with the half of the cable that Waspinator weakened earlier.

A few of the missiles were disabled or destroyed by that rotary blade, but Scourge has two shoulders! Scourge is also seasoned with blackening, being in too close to his own blast, but it doesn't show on his velvet-black armour the way it does on the red Prime.
//But the lesser man would do well to acknowledge his better,// Scourge hisses out.
Then Scourge is flung. He manages to grab the gyrating half-a-cable that Rodimus is not holding, but now he's tethered out in space at the end of a rope that is stop to the hull only by a magnet. He pivots, wrapping his legs around the cable and works to climb 'down' back to the hull. While Scourge does, he's going to be a big target, but there's nothing for it - he just has to get back down before Rodimus blows the cable all away!

//Yeah, you would, but I doubt you're going to!// Rodimus replies.
Rodimus is currently holding onto one end of a magnetically tethered cable, but he's not at the end near the magnet. Sure, he's currently in contact with the hull, but if he loses that contact, he'll be in pretty much the same situation as Scourge. In the meanwhile, however, his contact with the far more massive Event Horizon gives him something he can push off against.
Rather than clinging to his lifeline, he lets go and takes a risk, leaping diagonally "up", aiming himself not for Scourge but for the cable that Scourge is climbing down. He grasps it, and while his momentum continues to carry him forward, the Scourge's line limits how far out he can go, causing Rodimus to once more circle down towards the Event Horizon, only this time, trailing Scourge behind him. Once he "lands" again he turns to look up at the tanker truck and smirks, both hands holding onto the only thing keeping the Decepticon in the area.
OOC: Grabbing of Scourge's cable and dragging of Scourge through space done with permission.

//Such impudence,// Scourge snarls as Rodimus Prime does his clever whip-around maneuver, his only tether in Rodimus Prime's hands.
He decides he's tired of being jerked around by the young Prime and reaches up as if to slam his fist into Rodimus Prime's face, and then, suddenly, before his fist can connect, his Sword of Fury is there, lancing towards the space between Rodimus's optics.
Scourge made no cry.

As Scourge is swinging first his fist, then his sword, Rodimus is tearing the cable in his hands and yanking the end that Scourge's legs are wrapped around towards himself. This works to spoil the Decepticon's aim, and a slight shift of Rodimus's upper body is enough to completely move him out of the way of the swing. Still, his optics widen in surprise at the lack of verbal cry, even as Rodimus reaches to grab hold of his enemy, who should currently be moving towards him anyway.
//Finally got that fixed, huh?// he observes almost casually.

Scourge neither confirms Rodimus Prime's casual observation. He is grabbed and thrown hecka far by Rodimus Prime, though, sort of like when Rodimus Prime grabbed and threw Galvatron into a different solar system, only he's not thrown nearly that far.
Team Rocket's still blasting out of sight.
A flash of starlight winks on his sword, and then he's gone.
OOC: Out of thread due to being forcibly thrown out of the thread! D:

Rodimus Prime frowns after Scourge, not feeling particularly proud or pleased with his victory. He knows from past experience that just throwing your enemies into space is far from a permanent solution, after all! However, dealing with the charges that the Decepticons have already laid out takes priority at the moment. Hopefully, Scourge won't travel back in time and attempt wreck the entire space-time continuum.
He de-activates the magnet at the end of the cable he has hold of, and then swings it against the hull nearer to the other cable, intending to retrieve it so that, with both lengths available, he will have a bit more mobility.

From the shadows of the thruster bells emerges a sage-colored lanky figure.
//How oddly fitting this is. The last Rodimus I encountered had just recently taken down my commanding officer as well.//
A pause.
//Would you like to know what I did to him?//

//Iiiiiiiii'm betting you're going to tell me whether I want to hear or not,// Rodimus answers, although truth be told, he's already heard bits and pieces of it.
He grasps the cable tight in his left hand as he turns to face Oil Slick, lifting his right arm.
//But I know better than to let you get close,// he adds, firing an electroblast from his pipes.
