Long Range gets lost. Excitement!

"Well, Ah'm the largest Decepticon on the planet, as far as anyone knows. People tell me the Autobot Omega Supreme might be taller than Ah am long, and then again he might not be. Weren't my idea; Ah used to be a jet, 'fore I got fried by Unicron and dumped in a swamp hereabouts. Seriously. Turn right--not that right, the next right," Hellbender corrected.

"You don't know what Unicron is? You must be from earlier than your buddy. Unicron was this here mechanical planet that ate other planets--and it transformed into a giant robot, too. It attacked Cybertron; last thing I saw was it tearing chunks out of the planet. We got a real good holo from the local planet showing Unicron attacking the next planet out and eating it. You could probably get Needlenose or someone to show you the video if it ain't already in the database," Hellbender told the big, blocky Transformer.

"Okay, you go straight up that tunnel thar and you'll find the front gate. Aboveground quarters are mostly off to the left down that other corridor. Right turn takes you to the hangars and suchlike. Start recording your footsteps, if you haven't already; you don't want to get lost down in the Mines, and you don't want to wander into someone's private lab accidental-like. They might think you're a volunteer experimental subject, if you get my drift. Seriously."

"Meetin' people... well, Dead End and Demolishor and Eye-fire go wander around down in the town a lot. The jets like to go do jet stuff." Hellbender means fly, but if he doesn't use the word, he doesn't have to think about how he can't fly anymore. "The Mayhems are likely to be anywhere. Command plots over computers and labs, Ah think."

[Long Range]

Long Range listens to what Hellbender has to say. He's thankful to have run into such a helpful and seemingly friendly 'con, and he'll be sure to sow his gratitude at some point.

He feels a pang of sympathy for the mining worm when he hears he used to be a jet, he had friends back in his time that had suffered grievous wounds and could not be fully repaired, leaving them as essentially useless husks that could speak.

"I'll be sure to ask Needlenose to show me this holo, thanks." He says stopping at the exit to the base and turning around.

"If I know Eye-Fire, he'll be out in the wilds or up the mountains, I probably won't see him until he comes back to base. And again, thank you."

"Heres my personal frequency if you ever need help, or just want to talk. I'll find some time later and maybe we can have a chat over some energon or something. See ya." Long Range says as he turns to walk to the town, waving his hand in goodbye.

Hellbender, in his turn, is grateful to have had someone to talk to. He'd been spending a lot of time holed up by himself in the lower tunnels lately. Too much time. The open sky made him uncomfortable, so he didn't go outside much, and there was only so much a blind tunneling worm could do in base--and most of that was more destructive than High Command would care for.

Might be better to at least listen and watch than to hide away and brood. He needed to be patient. Shockwave or Hook would repair him properly when he could.

"Thanks. Here's mine," Hellbender said, exchanging frequences with Long Range. He watched him walk down into the town and out of Hellbender's short-range sonar display. Once Long Range was out of 'sight', Hellbender looped around and slithered back into base, away from the blind abyssal sky and whatever it might conceal.
