Wow. Rattrap's almost touched by the concern. "Are you okay?" is definitely a nice change of pace from "Shut up." It might even be enough to bring a little tear to his eye… y'know, if he had any tear ducts.
"Ehhh… s'nothin' to worry about," he tells them both, using his well-practised no, really, you don't wanna know voice before he can remember that they probably don't know him well enough yet to recognise what a bad thing that voice is. Crud. Well, here's hoping neither of them gets too curious. "And yeah, Nightbeat slugged Xaaron one. I think ovah Pee-Dee, but don't quote me on dat." Yeah, so he's understating his own understanding of the situation. He can always say he was too drunk to catch much more than that and not entirely be lying his furry butt off. "Heckuva party," he pronounces with a smirk. "Just about made me feel right at home." All it needed was a few dancing girls.

Synapse would be quite shocked and worried if Rattrap burst out leaking. After all, fluids leaking never means anything good. In fact, something like that may prompt Synapse into verbally nudging the 2iC towards the repair bay.
"If you say so, sir," murmurs Synapse, fidgeting slightly at Oracle's grin. "Though, please do not strain yourself if something is troubling you." The scout winces as the last words leave his mouth. He doesn't mean to sound doubtful of Rattrap's ability to assess his own health. The ground suddenly takes on quite a bit of interesting qualities.
Drunken mechs, a little skirmish, and something over Pee-Dee? Sounds more like a scene from a mid-day soap or harlequin novel that Synapse would have developed a weakness for in the future.
"I...I shall leave the both of you to your previous business then. Thank you," A quick bow and Synapse backs a few steps away from the pair before turning to go.

True, Oracle doesn't know Rattrap's 'no, really, you don't wanna know voice' but at the same time, she's picked up pretty quickly that prying into his business isn't a good idea, so when he says it's nothing to worry about she takes him at his word rather then accidentally pry again. She would agree with Synapse about being concerned if Rattrap started leaking though, because beast mode or not she was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to do that.
Rattrap's explanation for why Nightbeat hit Xaaron, has her tilting her head questioningly. "That was because of Pee-Dee you think? How...interesting." And silly, but perhaps there was more going on then had been apparent at the party, to result in that sort of reaction. Considering how little she knew of the interactions of most of the others, she was going to place her bet on that being the case, rather then it being an inexplicable event. Something to be aware of anyway in the future.
"Many parties like that where you come from Rattrap?" A vague statement like that made her curious enough to want a story. Besides, it wasn't like he couldn't continue to be vague if he didn't want to tell her too much about his past.
Synapse leaving got another smile and small wave, but by this point she had started to figure out that maybe the minibot wasn't that comfortable being the center of attention so she left it at a quiet, "See you around Synapse!" and let him go.

"No problem. Don't worry about it," Rattrap reassures Synapse – well, Synapse's back. Goofy kid. One of Rattrap's constant, prevailing concerns is his own health and well-being, for crying out loud.
Synapse gone, Rattrap turns his attention back to Oracle. At least she hasn't called him "cheese lips" yet.
"Like dat?" he muses. "Yeah, a few." Most, though… most tended to be a lot rowdier with that many bodies or more packed into a smaller, dimmer space. The music was louder, the air less fresh, and the high grade tasted more like antifreeze, but man, those were some great parties. "Had ta sneak into a couple of 'em, but yeah. How 'bout you? You da social type?" Well, stupid question; she's the one running around looking for people to talk to.

Considering that saying something like cheese lips would confuse Oracle in the first place, because she'd likely miss the connotation, it isn't likely she's going to call Rattrap that at any point actually.
What Rattrap was talking about sounded more like some of the bars she had been in then a party to her, and she tipped her head quizzically as she took a step back and to the side to lean against the wall comfortably. "I've only ever been to bars like that...parties get the same way?" Would have been a lot more familiar then whatever last night was anyway. Not that it wasn't interesting in the end but she could admit to being lost at first.
"Well, honestly no, I'm not typically the social type." She gave him an almost sheepish little smile. "But I figured the more people I talked to in person before something hit the fan, the less likely I was to get 'accidentally' shot as just another Seeker when it gets busy around here." While she had learned to enjoy spending time with people she liked and was comfortable with, there was a distinct motivation for acting the part of someone more social at the moment. Having an alternate around was going to be bad enough, she didn't need to get shot in mistaken identity too. Though being confused for her alternate was probably mistaken identity, wasn't it? What did you call being mistaken for another you?

Hey, whoever said folks couldn't throw a party in a bar? Some of the best parties Rattrap's been to have been in bars. Or in the alleys behind them.
"Oh, yeah," drawls Rattrap, optics wide, hands at shoulder height with palms forward – can't you just hear the phrase Heaven forfend? Sure, it's a shame she's gotta worry about it, he supposes, but life's full of hazards. Especially when somebody runs around looking like a bunch of the bad guys. "Wouldn't want nobody shootin' at da wrong plane." Hm. This might be a decent opening. Alright, Rattrap, gotta be social and friendly. At least the curiosity isn't wholly fake. "Speakin' o' which," he wonders, "what's yer story?"
It could be worse. She could be wearing blue.

Well no one said you couldn't throw a party in a bar, it just hadn't occurred to her they could be one and the same really. Sounded like a lot more like something she would enjoy though.
If anyone suggested Oracle be painted any more blue then she already was, she would make sure they were they one that ended up wearing the bucket of paint. She was quite happy with her current colors, thank you very much.
Rattrap's question prompted a very small dry smile. "My story? That covers a whole lot of territory you know." Most of which she wasn't willing to talk about anyway, though there was some she would share. "What exactly were you curious about?" Having him limit the scope of his question would help her figure out how to answer him anyway.

"Well," says Rattrap, waving one hand in the classic "carry on" motion, "yer story! Y'know, the whole kit 'n' caboodle." Dodgy as she's being, he'll lay odds he gets a doctored version. He can live with that – for a little while, anyway – if he can just get her talking; some info is better than none, there's a seed of truth in every lie, and all that blather. And he can keep up this sociable thing for another mega-cycle or so. "Start wit' da beginning and all dat."
Or, hey, if she doesn't feel like yapping, they can call things good and stop wasting each other's time.

Rattrap was incredibly right about getting the doctored version but he would probably have been more surprised if he hadn't gotten it, she thought. Not that she planned on making it too obvious she was skipping over specific things, and hey, she's still got things to talk about even leaving out what she wants to keep private.
"Start at the beginning eh?" Yeah, she was going to gloss over most of that, but she shrugged and started talking anyway. "Well I was created a neutral around the end of the Golden Age, and stayed one after the war began. Spent a lot of time in the tunnels under the surface, even though it was a pretty odd place for a flier, but it was a good place to vanish if you weren't worried about getting lost or running into a trap." Oracle smiled wryly. " Nothing beats an open sky, but the tunnels still feel safer after so long." So far this was nothing she hadn't already said to someone else in one form or another, other then admitting that the tunnels felt safer.

A winged tunnel rat, huh? There's a new one on Rattrap.
"Ehh… tunnelin's a hit and miss business," he pronounces, and he speaks from experience. "Can't say livin' in one is my idea of a grand time these days, but ya gotta do what you gotta do. So you're pre-War, huh?" He leans over, propping his weight against the doorframe, and crosses his arms expectantly.

A winged tunnel rat was a pretty new one on a lot of people, and it had been a nice trick in her deck a few times.
"It was a habit really, and I don't know that I can call it grand exactly, just you know, safer for the familiarity." She shrugged dismissively. "It's always good to know the tunnel system in the area anyway, when there is one. They can be useful in all kinds of ways."
Oracle nodded at his question. "Pre-War yeah, if only by a little bit. Too small a bit to be able to tell you anything useful though, if that's what you were wondering." Not exactly true, but she was willing to blur her age a bit to cover the real reason she couldn't tell him anything. "All I really remember is the War, like most of the younger ones from my universe, just more of it."
Quirking a slight smile, she tipped her head slightly at him. "I'll keep answering your questions if you have any more, but what's your story? What you're willing to tell me anyway." She didn't see any reason they couldn't trade bits of info, assuming he was willing to unbend a little.

Rattrap shrugs off Oracle's disclaimer on her age and what she can tell him. Chicks always lie about their age, right? And if he really wants to go digging in some old dirt – maybe even pre-War dirt – he'll just go take Kup up on that offer of a drink. They can invite Xaaron, too. Two pre-War versions in one sitting.
"Me?" he pipes up. "Ehh… not much ta tell." Not totally a lie, so that takes some weight off the bluff. "Ya read the database, right?" C'mon, everybody's gotta read that thing. "So y'already know there ain't really a war fer me. Or wasn't. Whichever." Okay, so they sort of went and started a war with the Preds on some random wild planet prehistoric Earth. Details, details. "I used t' be an energon miner before I signed on wit' the Exploration Program," he adds. "Got in wit' dis rookie captain. An' the rest, they say, is history."

Having a drink with Kup and/or Xaaron would probably be a better way to get a historical report then asking Oracle for anything, yeah. For one you were probably more likely to get a straight answer, and two they probably remembered more in the first place.
"Yeah, I read the database." She checked it pretty regularly to see what updates people might have added too. It was always interesting to see what people had to say about their universe. It also helped to know what people were talking about, when they made some reference or another. Helped in casual conversation, as well at the not so casual. She wasn't so sure about his no wars comment though, since she thought she remembered Airazor calling them something like the Beast Wars, but she wasn't going to pry at it either. "An Energon miner and an explorer? You've probably collected some interesting stories in your time then. And spent as much time in tunnels as I have." She grinned slightly.

"Stories?" Rattrap shrugs noncommittally, the gesture at odds with his lopsided half-grin. "Ehh… s'pose I got a few." A few nice, generic ones just in case what he's getting from Oracle is watered-down. It's a fair trade as far as he's concerned – titbits for nibblets. "You end up seein' a lot, toolin' around the galaxy diggin' tunnels."
OOC: Think a fade-out is okay?

"I can only imagine how much you might see, as I haven't seen that much of the galaxy, since I don't think a couple of planets counts as much." Though she was counting the one she was currently on, involuntary exploration or not. Watered down stories works for her, it's still something interesting hopefully, and she doesn't care to pry into his past more then he's willing to let her anyway.
"So what kinds of trouble can an energon miner get up to?" Her slight grin was anticipatory.
OOC: Fade out is fine with me.
