Scourge is just confused. How is treasure hunter the opposite of commando leader? Oh well, it's information.
Scourge looks around anxiously. Where has Thundercracker's master gotten to?

So this Dead End is his own Dead End's opposite -- he still expects an early death, but rather than make the most of what running-time he has left, he prefers to sit back and await the inevitable. Poor mech. Not a pleasant life he lead in the least, and certainly a rather lonely one...
"Megatron is a noble revolutionary," Thundercracker replied. "He organized a rebellion among the Decepticons and overthrew our oppressors. His goal is to see Cybertron restored to peace -- an empire where Autobots and Decepticons can live as equals, side by side."
At Scourge's glance he, too, casts his gaze about. Are they being watched? Has Skyfire returned already?

"Curious. The older Decepticons, from before they crashed on Earth, said something like that about Megatron," Dead End said, head tilted slightly. "Though he had no interest in living as equals with Autobots. Those he permitted to survive would have served us."
He looked up sharply, visored optics scanning the distance. "There's a rather tall mech coming this way; probably Skyfire."

It was indeed Skyfire. He strode up to the gathering at the edge of town, jaunty and confident.
"Ah, TC, there you are!" The big white shuttle looked the other Decepticons over with a carefully neutral expression, his gaze lingering longest on Scourge. "I trust our allies have treated you well?"

Scourge would not be like how Skyfire would remember him. This Scourge appears to have had a ramrod inserted up his tailpipe, for he stands straight and proud, never slouching. There is a quiet aura of menace around him, even at his friendliest, like something has been held back and tightly caged. Yet, that beast in chains holds its own keys and will slip its lock if ever given the chance.
He turns a friendly look upon Skyfire and gestures to Thundercracker, assuring in his slickest voice, "I can honestly promise you that I haven't touched him."
Just maybe reached in and twisted his mind.

At Skyfire's approach the first thing Thundercracker feels is the urge to panic. Is Skyfire angry that he's been talking with this world's Decepticons? Is he due for punishment for his actions? The explorer doesn't appear upset at the moment, but still...
"Yes, Master," he replies, and ducking his head low he approaches to stand at his customary spot at Skyfire's side. He can't help but feel humiliated at reverting to his role as a slinking, simpering shadow in front of these mechs, but he feels he has no choice.

Dead End simply shrugged. He'd merely interrogated talked with Thundercracker; no need to repeat it all to the ersatz Autobot. Skyfire isn't his superior officer, after all; from what the Stunticon had heard, for all his imposing size, he was much less durable than Dead End himself.
His visor brightened slightly as Thundercracker sidled up to Skyfire. How curious.

Skyfire gave Scourge a sharp look; this one obviously wasn't the rival treasure hunter he knew from the other side of the mirror. This one acted almost... military. And sounded as honest as Kup in his reassurances.
"Yeah, fine, pleased to meet you." He gave Scourge a slightly skeptical look, and found himself trying not to stare at Dead End. There was something creepy about the way this version hid himself behind a mask and visor, making of himself an expressionless, soulless blank.
"Come on, TC. I've got beach grit in my landing struts and soot in my jets and a need for some serious refuelling--you've got chores to do." Skyfire turned and stalked away, confident that his slave would follow.
--- And heading out-of-thread. Ready for wrap-up?

There's the briefest instant where Thundercracker hesitates, as if wondering whether or not to follow the explorer. It's barely half a second, yet to him it feels unfathomably long...
Then the moment ends, programming winning out yet again, and with head low and step hurried he sprints to keep up with his master.
Out of thread.

Scourge is every inch a soldier. He fies and innocent look on Skyfire and encourages, "Have a good day, you two."
One last reminder that subtly puts Thundercracker on equal footing with his master. It's not that Scourge actually want freedom for Thundercracker; it's that he wants strife within his enemies. Scourge doubts that Thundercracker could handle freedom if handed it on a plate.
He radios to Dead End, //That was amusing. Probably moreso than the rest of your patrol.//

// Indeed, // Dead End replied as he transformed and drove off, resuming his interrupted patrol. // About as pointless as most of my actions here, but somewhat more entertaining. I'll let you know if I find anything else that seems like it might interest Intelligence, sir. //
