Skystrike's further affirmation the irritating qualities of the sand earns a grimace of sympathy from Synapse. "It is likely a very trying sensation to ignore," he says softly. A few darting glances between the Decepticon and the other Autobots later, Synapse pulls a dusting cloth out of subspace and holds it out wordlessly. If Skystrike makes no sign of taking it the minibot will just hurriedly push the object back into subspace.
"The blue moon?"
The only sign of Synapse's pleased reaction to Skyfire's reply is a slight tilt to the head and a twitch of his lips. "I remember passing by this satellite in an earlier scouting mission," he murmurs. "How fascinating...If there ever are future expeditions to this planet's satellites, I would be most pleased to join." The scout's gaze flickers back down, attention seemingly back on the sand but all remote sensors concentrated with a hopeful expectancy.

"Why wait? If it's 'exceptionally annoying and excruciatingly hard to ignore' I can't imagine you'd want to have to deal with it longer then you have to, and really, is it a good idea to count on finding time later?" Because things never went according to plan around here, that seemed like just about the only thing she actually had been able to count on so far. Besides she had to admit watching the other seeker mildly unsettled was pretty funny, even if that hadn't been the intention behind the offer. "How does it count as trouble anyway, If I offered." The Skyfire spoke up and she corrected herself. "We offered."
Her attention flickers briefly over to the two in the rocks as she hopes that with his companion having moved away, Skystrike doesn't end up feeling overwhelmed by the attention he's getting. The strange situation was in fact strange after all and he was at least the partial focus of three Autobots, if the cloth Synapse was offering and his comment indicated he'd been paying attention as well.
And were those two talking about flying to an apparently blue crystal moon? Huh.

With a 'hmph' Firebolt had slumped down to lean against a crumbled wall and stared down at the ground. Just when she thought others were being friendly towards her, in came two new bots and ruined the fun. She was peeved, to say the least. She crossed her arms and mumbled something or another. However, she flinched out of shock when Wreckage settled down next to her.
One of her optics widened and the other narrowed, giving her a very confused and shocked look. "What. What do you want, did I not get pushed out of the way enough over there? I thought I was making friends!! But OBVIOUSLY I'm not allowed to, cos things will happen when I try to do something, and that's always a bad sign." She said in a low voice, her ponytails pressing flat against her head. She tried to look threatening for a moment, which lasted all of two seconds, before she slumped back down and cast her gaze off to the side. "This sucks," She stated dully.

Silently and patiently, Wreckage waits out Firebolt's tirade, deliberately not wincing or moving at all even when she turns her anger on him. He has nothing to offer her; she was not being ignored or pushed out of the way simply because the new arrivals were greeted, but by not focusing his all on her, he must have done something wrong. What exactly, he has no idea and is unsure he can even begin to figure it out.
"My apologies," he finally murmurs, his tone subdued and flat and his expression bland and tired, as he stands, "for upsetting you." What else can he do but apologise when he has no idea what wrong he has committed?
With that, his shoulders sagging in defeat, he simply retreats, giving Skystrike a brief glance of acknowledgement as he passes. Better this than an argument.

Oookay, this just went from being really awkward to being really awkward and kind of creepy. Skystrike keeps the polite smile on his face to the best of his abilities although there was an air of anxious discomfort now that wasn't purely just his itching wings. Skyfire just asked him if he could help clean his wings. Skyfire. "It's quite alright, truly!" The berkut laughs a bit nervously as he answers the big space jet, rubbing the back of one head vent self-consciously. Then Synapse shyly holds out the cloth for him and Oracle continues to elaborate on her proposal to clean his wing joints. As much as Skystrike hated to admit it, he was being overwhelmed. It was one thing trying to calmly and distantly reconcile the long-standing and nearly always correct image of his world’s Autobots with the far too… friendly image of these Autobots.
The berkut glances at Skyfire, Oracle and Synapse in turn, takes a moment to carefully pick his words out before opening his mouth to say something— when Wreckage suddenly walks wordlessly by.
“I-I—” Skystrike stuttered after a second or so, gesturing with his hands as he tries to drag the rotting remains of his composure back. “… I should… go. After him.” The jet finishes, looking apologetic as he jabs a thumb in the direction of Wreckage’s retreating back. He glances at the cloth Synapse has and after another moment of mental debate adds; “Can I burrow that? I’ll give it back, promise.”

"Of course, Synapse! I would love to have you and your reconnaissance skills along on my explorations; it would make things a lot easier," Skyfire says.
Skystrike seems a bit nervous and embarrassed by all the offers to help; perhaps he's the self-sufficient type. And he's concerned about his companion Wreckage. Fair enough; Skyfire had made his offer; to insist further would border on obnoxiousness.
"Very well, then. Still, if you need help, just yell; I've always got at least half a processor listening to the Alliance channel," Skyfire says with a smile. "See you later; I really do have to report in."
With that, Skyfire folds back into shuttle form and lifts off on his jets, skimming the treetops towards a landing zone near their current refuge...

At Skystrike's request, Synapse gives a nervous smile and nods, handing the item over without any further words. A third of his vision remains focused on the ground while another third watches Wreckage's retreating form. The final third is still curiously on Firebolt's seated figure. There's more than a little confusion running through Synapse's processors at this point about what happened further out on the beach.
The scout's posture visibly opens for a moment at Skyfire's response - only to shrink back down in pleased embarrassment as he stammers his own reply. "T-thank you! It would be a great honor." It's probably be a little later that Synapse lets himself spiral and twist across the skies, though his nodes have no problem in currently expressing his delight.
"I...I shall take my leave now then," he murmurs, taking a small bow and flitting a few steps back as Skyfire transforms.
"Till another time."

Whoops, looks like she was right to be worried about Skystrike getting overwhelmed. Ah well. The mini verbal explosion from Firebolt and Wreckage leaving after that probably hadn't helped either.
With a slightly wry tilt to her smile, Oracle shook her head and shrugged at Skystrike. "Apologies then, but if you do need help I'm sure someone will probably be willing." Note to self, no matter how curious you are it isn't a good idea to spook the object of interest. You don't get to satisfy the curiosity that way.
A wave to those departing, and she heads off to slip back into the trees she came out of earlier further up the beach. It seemed as though everyone was scattering, so there wasn't much reason for her to stay either.

"Hmph, again," Firebolt let out an engine-sounding-snort. She heaved herself up and then moved back over to her abandoned pile of stuff. "I'm never gonna feel at home here," She says to the pile, before she picked up something and then started walking off with it.
