Grinning, Oracle chuckled at Skyfire's expression. "But you're so much better at it then I am anyway."
The aborted touch at her shoulder received a brief glance before she took at step forward herself and leaned against him again. This time she settled herself for comfort instead of just to steady herself, and one hand ran lightly over the arm that had reached for her, non-verbally granting his request. Her mind was more on his question and that was reflected in her thoughtful when she spoke shortly afterward.
"That I think, will very much depend on what they want. One thing is for certain though, I refuse to bargain for anything Shockwave might want unless we run out of both other options and time. I don't know what influence he might have on any negotiating you do with Starscream, but I believe I did myself a grave disservice when I attracted his interest." She gave a slight, almost gaelic shrug. "Can't fix that, but I hardly want to make it worse."

"Oh, I don't know. You could corner Starscream and whisper in his audials," Skyfire said, chuckling. His jet turbines started to whine softly as Oracle leaned against him; he acknowledged her favor by letting his fingers touch her shoulder and run across it lightly, reaching back to the wing on her back.
"Ah? I haven't talked to Shockwave, really. Is he like Perceptor, then?" Skyfire asked; concern flitted across his face. Oracle belonged to no one, was no one's pet or experimental subject.
Skyfire belonged to Oracle.

Oracle turned a very wry look up at Skyfire. "Because of course I can charm just anyone when I put my mind to it." Yeah, right. She wasn't even going to go there. Brief annoyance melted under the caress across her shoulder and back to her wing, and she leaned into it with a softly pleased hum. They still had things to sort out, but she appreciated the touch and had no problem letting him know.
"I don't exactly have a dossier of the Shockwave of this universe obviously, but he seemed similar enough to Perceptor in his wish to know how my Sight functioned. I very much do not wish to end up in his grasp, our last encounter was unpleasant enough." She hadn't needed the warning he delivered to come to the conclusion distance was better, but it had certainly helped her reaffirm her wish to stay far, far away from that particular Decepticon.
Skyfire was also just a bit wrong on several accounts, even if Oracle herself wished he wasn't. She thought Perceptor might have a few things to say on the subject of her not belonging to someone, and for that matter on the other two counts as well. Not that she had exactly informed Skyfire of her dealings with that particular scientific terror, but she hadn't exactly hidden them either.
On the other hand, Skyfire very much did belong to her. That, he had right.

"Lovely. I wonder how he and our Perceptor get along?" Skyfire mused. "The oddest people seem to favor my useful red friend--I think our Botanica was in to see him."
He continued to caress her lovely wings, remembering idly how she looked soaring under the light of three moons. Skyfire smiled.
"I understand," he murmured. "Do my best to steer you clear of Shockwave, then."
Skyfire remained still, except for the occasional light stroke along the leading edges of the nearest wing, pondering his next move in the chess game that was his life. He'd really rather play Monopoly, but first he had to withdraw from the game gracefully.

"Well enough from the little I saw, if you count trading barbs and baiting each other well enough." Oracle shuddered slightly both from the stroking of her wings and the memory of the tableau she had arrived upon when she had shown up at Perceptor's workspace. Not a pleasant memory, all of that encounter. Honestly she could have done without witnessing it.
Lightly thumping him on the side, she huffed softly in amusement. "You would call him useful. I do wonder what Botanica wanted, or what he might have wanted from her." She supposed she would find out or perhaps she wouldn't, eventually, but she wasn't curious enough to try and dig anything up.
Flattening her hand over the spot she had just thumped, she pressed, then curled her fingers slowly and looked mischievously up at Skyfire. "Did you have any other business you wanted to bring up before I take advantage of the fact I've got you alone finally?"
OOC: Really sorry for the delay, life has been insane lately.

Skyfire grinned. "Nah, that's enough business for now! Unless..."
He tilted his head and looked thoughtfully at her, then at the (not very) messy hangar. "I really ought to clean this place up; hardly comfortable, what with all those chains and cables from whatever shop used to be here cluttering the place."
Skyfire nudged a heavy bolt with his foot. "Tie-downs for a block and tackle rig; they probably used it to extract engines for maintenance. Frame up there must be the mount point for the other end; strong enough to hold up some heavy engines, at least."
Skyfire looked back at her. "Care to help?"

"Oh yes. We really should, tidy the place up." The hand on Skyfire's side slid around to the center of his chest and she pushed backward, nudging him toward the wall.
"After all it really doesn't do to leave a mess just lying around. Why who knows what might happen." Oracle's returned grin was decidedly predatory as she scooped up one of the chains from the ground and weighed it measuringly in her hand.
"But then again we can clean up later." Oracle rather thought she had other plans now.
OOC: Fade to black.
