// Our chance to follow may come sooner than anticipated, // Barricade radios to Fleetwind. // We don't have time to get Blackarachnia here. Leave her in place to protect our flag; I'll tail Hellbender. If I can't locate their base or grab the flag, I'll call with coordinates for assistance, unless you have any other ideas. //
What's a little more paint and a few extraneous components left in the rubble, eh?
// What do I need to know about Hellbender or his team mates? //
With a grimace and the shift of rubble and the scrape of stone on metal, Barricade worms his way through the loose debris Hellbender had churned up to the hole the mining worm had punched into the ground.
OOC: assuming that Fleetwind doesn't advise against it, Barricade is out of thread following Hellbender's trail through the sewers and subway. If Fleetwind does advise against it, Barricade will remain for another turn.

Fleetwind transforms and hovers over Cannonball, ready to fly off at any sign of trechery. "Fighting Hellbender in the tunnels isn't really an ideal prospect," the Seeker tells Cannonball, "but neither is going purely defensive."
"What sort of firepower are you sporting? Think we can make enough noise on his turf to force him back up?"

"Well, I did 'ave me shoulder cannons, but I think they be buggered aftah the big lug landed on me..." he complains, noting the dull pain back there, and the now non-working rotation mechanisms. "Still got me arm gun an' a 'ammer. An' those energon flasks, but those be fer emergencies mostly. Would prefer tae not use 'em if'n I don't 'ave tae." For the time, Cannonball's forgetting that it's a game.
"I reckon we could get 'is attention with some ...ah..." Cannonball grins. "Creative applications of firepower."

The Seeker frowns a moment, then tells Cannonball, "Open your data-lines. I'm going to transmit a map of Hook's area." He attempts to do just that. Assuming Cannonball accepts, he continues, "These people don't often use liquid fuel, but they do use it for interstellar travel. There looks to be a spaceport near the northern edge of their territory. We could, potentially, get more bang for our blasts there.
"A second option is the reservoir, in the south-eastern quarter. If we can find a way to feed that to the tunnels, we might be able to flush them out instead."
So, pirate, what will it be? Shall they try to end the other team's world in fire, or in flood?

A blink, then a smile as Cannonball accepts the data-feed. "Thank ye, laddie. Most appreciated."
Oh, what a choice... Cannonball mulls it over for a bit.
"Well...as much fun as fragging the bloody daylights out o' 'Ook's strong'old would be, that do run th' chance o' destroyin' the flag. Then again, the flooding runs th' risk o' losin' it in the torrents."
A few more moments of thought.
"...explosions would be more fun. I vote fer that."

Fleetwind shrugs, muttering, "Well, if you can't win, might as well have fun losing the, eh?" Then he says, louder, "All right, then. I'll be there ahead of you. See if we've got any liquid fuel in there, after all, and radio back. We can start our plans based on that."
Then he starts to transform and take off. But the question is: can Cannonball really trust Fleetwind out of his sight?
OOC: Unless Cannonball stops Fleetwind, he is flying towards the spaceport. However, I'm staying in this thread, since Cannonball's heading towards the same place.

Cannonball follows suit, jumping up in the air and taking off at a slower pace. Can't keep up with a jet, after all. He's gonna trust the seeker for now. If he is betrayed, then he'll try and turn it to his advantage.

The Seeker, with his speed, reaches the spaceport well before Cannonball does, and by the time Cannonball arrives, he's alread investigating one of the large tanks. He taps it, kneels, and taps again.
"Not as much as I had hoped, but more than I'd expected," he explains to the pirate, then turns. "If we can get them off their stands, we may be able to roll them to a more likely location." With that, the Seeker darts back, then raises his right arm to fire at one of the supports. "Shall I?"

When Cannonball doesn't answer, Fleetwind takes that as an affirmative. He fires. However, he hits too close to the tank itself, and it goes up in a violent explosion, rocking the area.
The force of the explosion is enough to throw the fragile Fleetwind back violently, and he hits a pole with a sickening crunch that rips him in two. The two sections still fly back for some distance, before the twisted Seeker lands on the ground.
Fleetwind is out of the game.
What a wretched accident! For that's what it must be, correct? Surely Fleetwind, concerned with who might be watching and judging, wouldn't knowingly commit 'suicide' in an environment where it didn't count to encourage people to continue to think less of him!

Cannonball is thrown back as well, crashing into a building's upper floors, out the other side, and into another before stopping. His front is charred up something fierce, with the glass of his windscreens blown out, some heavy dents from shrapnel, and a few torn pieces of armor from general explosion damage. His doors are gone, too.
"Allspark above, wot in th' 'ell was that lad thinkin'..." he groans, struggling to get up from the wreckage. He staggers out the hole he came in from, and ...falls down into the street, unaware of how he is. Soot on his optic visor doesn't help. A crunch and a crash, and some more dents.
He calls out to Counterpunch -
//Ugghh...lad, methinks I been double-crossed...or that seeker were just plain stupid. We planned to take some liquid space-faring fuel and try to blow up 'Ook's stronghold...but th' blighter fired wrong and blew us away. I don' see 'im anywh--//
Cannonball's scans pick up something, and he scrapes some of the soot off his optic band, noticing a half of the seeker.
//...well, 'e be out of the game. Both pieces of 'im.// ---------- Crossposting to Team Cannonball Teamspeak.

Hook transforms and rolls down the street in the direction of the explosion sound. Underneath his wheels, he can feel the rumbling in the ground of Hellbender carving through the city. It's oddly comforting. Now while he's on his way, he has a radio call to make to Eye-fire. --- Hook is heading off to visit the site of the explosion. He should arrive in a round or two.

Hellbender follows underground, taking the easy way through what sewers and subway tunnels go in the right direction. When they don't, he makes cuts. On the way, he processes his seismic readings.

Somewhere in the maze of sewers and subway tunnels, a few rocks tumble to the ground from a pile of rubble, shaken loose by the shockwave of that explosion.

After no response, Cannonball groans and staggers up. A few pieces of his armor that had been knocked loose from his fall clatter to the ground. He leans on a nearby building, hand holding onto his head.
"Ach...gotta think... Countahpunch is oot. Fleetwind done fragged me up good. If'n it were plan or accident, I doubt his teammates'll be keen on assistin' me. Donnae know what in th' world Eye-Fire's up to."
Looking up to the tanks that he and Fleetwind had been fiddling with, he saw that the ones nearest the formerly existing one had been knocked loose. "Tha's convenient..." he mumbles with a grin. Wearily, he walks over, and rolls two of them out into the street, on a corner, building him a little blocked-in spot of sorts, and dragging some abandoned automobiles and various wreckage from the first explosion to cover the tanks, including the remnants of Fleetwind's body. He places one half on one side facing the street, and one on the other, giving a morbid sight to anyone coming from either direction. Climbing into the explosive fort with a chuckle, he draws out a laser pistol, and grins. "Ain' gonna give that blasted builder th' pleasure o' takin' me out..."

Not too long after, Hook rolls onto the street with Cannonball's concealed, makeshift fort. What he sees is hand-arranged explosion-damaged wreckage and half of Fleetwind.
"I suppose the question is if the explosion did that or one of his companions did," Hook muses as he transforms and calls out towards the carefully-arranged concealment. The process of elimination leaves him with only one possible person he could be facing here.
"You may have noticed Fleetwind is dead, Cannonball. So is Counterpunch. And Barricade. Eye-fire is no threat to me, and Thrust is dealing with Blackarachnia. It's just you and me, pirate."
Private to Hellbender: //Pinpoint Cannonball and annihilate him.//
