While Punch does trip over the invisible leg, he's rolling before he even hits the ground, and thus is out of the way by the time the elbow comes down. His right leg snaps out in the direction that he can now feel Mirage in, given their close proximity.
"If you don't mind, I'd just as soon try to avoid explaining why I'm returning all shot up," he mutters. Of course, the same applies if he returns over-damaged by other means...

Punch's kick connects, knocking Mirage back and down. As the racer-turned-spy tumbles over, his cloak cycles off.
"Seven minute timer," he explains, scrambling up, "Have to wait a full minute before re-cloaking. Deucedly annoying, and as mentioned, I don't think Spinister's has that weak point." Mirage really has a major case of cloak envy. Maybe if he sweet talks Perceptor....
As soon as he's on his feet, Mirage tries to buy himself that minute, tries to put some distance between himself and Punch.
"And truth is easier than fiction. I was out on patrol, and we ran into each other. Literally," he smirks, "You can even do a full report and toss in tidbits like the time-out issue for authenticity's sake."

Punch shakes his head. "If that's what it takes, fine, but I can hardly use that every time I'm on patrol. I'd prefer to keep the need for explanations to a minimum, then have them on hand when that does finally happen."
He stretches, then examines his joints. "As it is, though, the self-repair should get what dings I have, so I shouldn't have to worry about it this time out."

One browridge quirks up. That's surprising, that Punch hadn't pressed the advantage while he had it. After all, they hadn't said they would cease sparring just because Mirage became visible.
"Does that mean you wish to make these spars a regular thing then?" he asks, "As regular as can be managed, anyway." He is still watching Punch closely, in case the other spy decides to make a try, thinking Mirage's guard is down.

Punch stopped sparring because the purpose of the spar was to practice dealing with an invisible opponent. No invisibility, no need to risk injury.
He shrugs. "If it'll help me adapt to dealing with cloaked individuals, yes." He's still guardedly relaxed. He's watching Mirage for trouble, but shows no interest in taking the offensive himself.

"As you like then," Mirage says, "If we've time in the future I've no problem with accommodating. I do try so hard to please my partners, after all." Mirage is teasing, just a little, but still teasing, but such things are as much a part of him as his aristocratic demeanor.
"Now, shall we go back to playing hide and go seek?"
Mirage shifts out of view again. If Punch is listening very carefully, he might just hear the faintest creak of armour as Mirage moves to the left and back toward his opponent.

Punch looks a bit startled at the teasing. Is Mirage hitting on him? He is so totally not that kind of spy!
(He's the loony kind of spy.)
"'Partners' is taking things waaaaaaay too far," he mutters, crouching to the alert when Mirage vanishes again. As he hears a faint creak he sticks his leg out low in a sweeping kick that moves back, trying to knock anything nearby in a semi-circle from the side to behind him off its feet.

//Oh come now, you make it sound like the direst fate, having a partner.// Still teasing, is Mirage.
He is not hitting on Punch. Merely enjoying a (mostly) relaxed meeting with a colleague after so many days of intensity. He does not mean to upset Punch, or to place him ill at ease. Mirage is just being Mirage, and the spy would be rather confused and surprised to have it pointed out that he might come off as ill-mannered.
Punch literally sweeps Mirage off his feet, though perhaps not quite as the blue and orange bot intended. When foot connects with leg, Mirage twists so that he is falling at Punch, intending to tackle him, if possible.

"No," Punch answers, even as he's tackled to the ground. "The direst fate is being that partner." Punch is the sort of person who has bad things happen to their 'partners,' no matter the stripe.
The double agent decides to take advantage of knowing exactly where Mirage is. He reaches his arms around the other and attempts to hold him in place. He hasn't planned yet what, exactly, he'll do with Mirage if he gets him immobilized - that's thinking too far ahead.

That's the problem, most times. Everyone wants to get their hands on Mirage but know one quite expects the spy to be quite the handful that he is, or knows what to do with Mirage once they have him.
Punch finds himself with an armful of invisible aristocrat, and the two tumble over a few times before coming to a stop, Punch atop the now-visible blue and white racer. Mirage attempts to make a grab at Punch's throat during the tumble, and if successful, does not release it just because he is visible.
"You have a point. Partners inevitably lead to attachments, and attachments are not something our type can afford, in most cases. Can your reality survive beheading?"

Punch's throat is, indeed, grabbed, and held up while Punch himself is on top of Mirage. At Mirage's question, however, Punch laughs.
"It's easier than you'd think," he answers, bringing his arm in to try to knock the other's hand out of the way. If he manages that, his next move will to be to try to pin Mirage down, and... hold him there.
"The important parts are all lower down, anyway."

Punch is successful! He manages to pin Mirage's arms and the spy is mostly caught. Mostly.
"Oh really?" Mirage asks, smirking up at Punch, "Hmmm, good to know. Though now that you've caught me, what will you do with me?"
Even as he's talking, Mirage tries to bring his leg up and flip Punch off of him. If he succeeds, Mirage will cloak again and and get up from the ground.

"Ask what qualifies for end-game," Punch replies coolly. "We never did establish that, but I'm not about to spend my whole day at this."
Punch actually rolls off Mirage to avoid the kick, but the end result is more or less the same - perhaps Punch has his balance and bearings a bit better than he would have otherwise. Either way, Mirage is cloaked once more.
Punch abruptly transforms and shines his headlights in the spot where Mirage had been. He's not positive this will make any difference, but training is a time for trial and error and experimenting. Better to figure out now than when he's back among the Decepticons.

Additional light really doesn't help, though it was a good try. Mirage's cloak is based off the bending light and tricking the optics. Not so good as Spinister's but still quite good. There are no tell-tale shadows or edges to give him away.
The light might, however, revel the very faint shadows of grass as it bends ever-so slightly around a light step.
//End-game is whenever you get tired of playing.// Punch can likely hear that shrug. //I am not so competitive that I feel one must 'win' or 'lose' for a spar to end. This is strictly for your benefit, so you choose.//

"Ah, I see," Punch answers softly, a slight hiss to his words as he suddenly transforms and leaps towards that area of grass where the shadows had been wrong, arms outstretched.
