Dai-Janku finds himself rather gobsmacked by the whole situation, oddly quiet while he contemplates it.
"I know -of- Perceptor. He's known where I come from for his intellect. This one looks and sounds just like him."
He looks a bit thoughtful, then speaks once more. "Where I am from, we have Cybertrons, who bear that symbol," he says, pointing to Skyfire's insignia on his chest. "And they fight the Destrons, who have the symbol those jetbots had that jumped you," he adds, referring to the Decepticon sigil."

Perceptor has already had to assist with collecting a variation of himself, though the most traumatic part of that encounter had been the effect seeing his other self's corpse had had on Holi at the time. Granted, his other self had not been re-animated and attempting to dismember him at the time - and he shudders at the odd image of Holi having to face such a thing - however, it had been rather... disconcerting, until he had adjusted to the thought. He cannot imagine that it is much easier for Skyfire now, however, than it had been for him, then. Worse, for the zombie aspect, and the shock of the attack.
Having faced his own corpse before, though, such a thought no longer bothers him. He sets to work quickly, hopeful that Springer can salvage some of the components from Skyfire's doppelganger's shell to use to make the necessary repairs.
He is much subdued as he works, uncharacteristically holding his comments and remaining silent save for the necessary announcements to Skyfire of his actions and needs - turn here, can you feel this, bend this, please, and such - and even those are quiet, brief, and few.

"Ah, so Cybertrons are what you call us Autobots," Skyfire exclaims. "And Destrons are our Decepticons! I understand now. I think Holi used the same terms, did he not Perceptor? And he also recognizes you."
Skyfire sits still, moving only as requested to by Perceptor. Fortunately, he's not so restless that he has the urge to pace around while his doctor is doing surgery. "Dai-Janku, who is the supreme commander of the, ah, Cybertrons where you come from?"
Skyfire may well be disturbed if and when Springer hauls up his doppleganger; in the meantime, he has a new friend to talk to.

Springer's having little luck, dredging up only half of the Not-Skyfire. It's placed in the pile with Wheeljack and Magnus' head, and he wanders off to check on the other various bodies, to see if anything else can be recovered.

Dai-Janku's optics flicker in a blink. "I thought I mentioned before that I followed Supreme Commander Star Saber, but given what just happened, I can see how it got lost."
The Junkino looks thoughtful for a moment, mumbling to himself about the correlations between 'Autobots' and his Cybertrons, and to 'Decepticons' and Destrons.
He frowns slightly, scratching his head. "I suppose the faction name mixups could explain why that purple fellow got so irritated and confused with me."

Perceptor murmurs quiet thanks to Springer as the Wrecker manages to retrieve some of Jetfire's parts, especially since they prove to be useful parts that he swiftly co-opts into Skyfire's repairs.
"You did mention the Supreme Commander, Dai-Janku," he interjects, still much subdued, but at least no longer silent. "Irritated and confused, though?"

Skyfire mentally replays the initial contact with Dai-Janku... "So you did! I'm sorry, I did not intend to be rude; you're right that our recent battle distracted me just a bit." "I think my radio is still working," Skyfire adds, and then radios a report inNow that he has time to sit and watch Springer dismantle a body that looks increasingly like his own under the blockier cowling, Skyfire gets a slightly queasy look on his face.

Springer's been going for spot to spot, where the shells were last seen, and has little to show for it, other than really dirty feet. Thankfully, Skyfire is not touchy about how pretty he is.
However, he does find a few sizeable chunks of armor from his initial attacker. Bit of a shoulder, and a forearm cover...
And a helmet.
Springer stares at the helmet a bit after picking it up, then shakes his head, bringing it back to the pile, and quickly placing it down. Face-down, so he's not looking it in the face.
"Everything else is either far too slagged, or sank too deep. Those bits, though, might be useful... Anti-radiation armor from my reality."

Dai-Janku raises his hands at Skyfire, grinning a bit. "No worries, no worries," he says, then lowering his arms.
"I don't suppose Star Saber would happen to be here, would he? Or Wreck-Gar? God Ginrai?"

Perceptor is trying to be delicate about digging out the parts he needs from Skyfire's alternate when Skyfire isn't paying attention. Not that there's too much else to catch one's attention out there besides them, though. nHe pats Skyfire's leg in what is supposed to be a comforting gesture, though, when he catches one of those slightly green looks crossing Skyfire's features. "Almost done. You should be operational shortly."
"I do not believe so, Dai-Janku. The only ones from your reality here thus far are Holi and his friend Clipper, both from Micro."
Springer's rather subdued tone seizes Perceptor's attention, and he glances up worriedly at the Wrecker. Easier to submerge his own trauma in worry for others, easier to run. He tilts his head and intones softly, "Springer?"

Thankful for something to take his attention off of Perceptor's source of spare parts, Skyfire looks curiously at Dai-Janku. "I believe Pee-Dee has mentioned a Wreck-Gar, but it's probably not the same one."
Skyfire also turns his head to look at Springer expectantly.

"I...er..."
Springer's put on the spot suddenly!
Quick, how does a tough guy weasel out of this?
"Er... Nothing important, Perceptor. Just brings up some awkward memories is all."
Or, I did something bad once and I really don't wanna bring it up in front of the new guy.
Time to steer the subject away. Skyfire's looking at him. "So, now that we're here... Where exactly was the sensor at, previously? I'll go do one more sweep in that area while repairs are done."

Dai-Janku frowns a bit. "Just a pair of Micromasters... Hunh." He shrugs a spiky shrug. "That's how the casting calls go, I s'pose."
He peers down at Perceptor, head tilting. "Need a hand? I'm good at taking stuff apart."

Perceptor nods at Springer, easily accepting his reply. It seems, perhaps, that the only one of them who has not had unpleasantness practically shoved down their intakes is Dai-Janku. Lucky Junkion.
"Thank you, Springer. The sooner we can have Skyfire loaded, the sooner we can return for real maintinence." And get out of this hellish trip down memory lane.
He glances up at Dai-Janku with a sliver of a smile of gratitude. "Thank you very much, however, I am not certain that will be necessary. I am just completing the repairs now. I would, however, appreciate some time in the future to discuss your abilities with you. You seem rather skilled at putting at least yourself back together, especially in such non-optimal environments."
A few moments later, Perceptor closes up the panels he'd had open, shifting back out of Skyfire's way. "Diagnostics, if you please. I think I have you flight-worthy, however, we need to make certain that I did not miss anything vital for now. The rest, I think, is fairly cosmetic or non-essential."

Skyfire looked around. "About 200 meters over there, across the causeway and near the ruins. However, I'm not getting any readings from them. The array may have been removed or destroyed."
"Ah, of course," Skyfire says, standing up and initiating a full run-through his checklist. After a few minutes, he says, "All vital functions coming up green. As you say, the rest is cosmetic."
He steps to one side, away from the others--
And transforms, first shifting halfway into a shuttle fore with two bird-like legs, and then fully into shuttle mode. "Transformation successful."
"Initiating engine test--stand back!"
