Scrapper sighs and proceeds to to wash his hands as Mayday requested. Washing hands. That's definitely something new to Scrapper...As is cleanliness in general.
At Boondocker's explanation, Scrapper nods. Figures he'd get partnered with the nervous wreck. But, perhaps some good ol' fashioned Constructicon jokes will lightened the poor bot up. Scrapper knows quite a few...

//Says him!// Decepticons are tricky, y'know. //Besides, I'd watch any new builder. Make sure they're doing right and all. Hmph.//
Mayday eyes Boondocker and Scrapper's hands suspiciously, twitches a couple of times and makes some strangled noises, then finally sighs loudly in defeat and throws his hands in the air. They'll never get as clean as he wants them to be unless he does it himself, and there's no way he'll get that close to either of them. Just let it go, Mayday, let it goooo.
"Alright! As you know I am Mayday, engineer and builder on project, uh... spaceship. The project that involves making this spaceship. Right." One of his optics twitches slightly. He spreads out his arms suddenly. "Welcome to build-site B. That would be 'B' for 'biosphere', aka the section that gets to carry... organic parts of this... planet with us." Why yes, he is trying hard to avoid using terms like 'disgusting' and 'terrible'! See, he's trying to be better. Or something. Whatever.
"Uh, yeah. So. Building. Here." Crossing his arms close over his chest, Mayday shifts about from foot-to-foot, feeling awkward.

Constructicon jokes, eh? That should go over with Mayday real well. At the very least, it would be entertaining to watch.
//I'm all fer watchin' the new folks workin' on a project for how they do stuff - that's just good overseein', y'know? I'm just sayin' that we don't need to be actin' like he's a prisoner, y'know?// Boondocker's tone is gentle and reasonable, if a bit firm.
Once that's done, he stands back, watching Mayday gloss over the project. Once he's done, he glances over at Scrapper. "That there biosphere thingy is primarily fer Miz Botanica, but there's some others in this crazy place what have beast forms like she has a plant form... Though they ain't as ....whussaword... Inner-grated as she is? If that makes sense. Point is, they need some naturey place to go be animal-y or whatever it is they do." Boondocker shrugs. "An' so th' ship ain't all grey halls and rooms, I s'pose."

"Beast modes, huh?" Scrapper asks plainly. Oddly enough that doesn't seem too strange to Scrapper. Maybe he heard Bulky mention somethin' crazy like Dinobots or somethin' while having a drink of oil. Though Bulky must've had some of the strong stuff, 'cause somethin' like Dinobots has to be made up, right?...Right?

//I am-! I am not treating him like a prisoner. If he were a prisoner I would keep as far away from him as- Er. Not a prisoner. Treating like. Whatever.// Who's a bit of coward? Surely it couldn't be Mayday!
Out loud he mutters, mostly to himself. "Grey halls and rooms are perfectly fine. Nice, sterile, clean metal walls. No dirt or organics in sight. Just like the Perdition." His voice rises to a wail and he clutches at his head. "Oh, my sweet Perdition! How horribly we were torn-!" He cuts off suddenly and glances, wide-eyed, at Scrapper and Boondocker.
"Uuum. I'm... going to go weld that. Over there," he says sheepishly. Dropping his arms, he quickly hurries over to a nearby section of the ship and begins doing just that.

//Good. Jus' make sure y'all keep it up// Boondocker says to Mayday, slight smile in his voice.
Though then Mayday cries out about some ship, then runs off to weld.
"Ah....er..." That was odd. "Welding, yeah, that's a good idea." With that, Boondocker starts searching for building materials and welding equipment.

"So, uh, what exactly do ya want me to do here, Mayday?" Scrapper asks, looking at the ship. Most likely, he'd help with moving the heavy lifting objects that Mayday would no doubt have trouble moving himself. But, it's always nice to double check.

Mayday doesn't pause in his welding as Scrapper questions him, gradually fixing two panels together. The work keeps him focused and calm. Or at least more calm. He's never really completely calm.
"What can you do? Any experience? Has anyone showed you the ship designs, by the way? Probably not, at least not the more detailed ones for this particular section... actually, while you're answering that, can you bring that-" He uses his free hand to point to a particular piece of machinery lying on the ground. "-Over here?"
"And you!" He points at Boondocker. "Same questions really. Except for the carrying thing. That only requires one of you."
Oh, he is in the zone now. Let no panel go un-welded and no circuit board go disconnected! Mayday is on the case!

Boondocker stops, turning back around. "Uh. Well, I kin fix stuff, long as I got an idea of what I'm doin'. General custodial an' handyman type stuff. I saw the basic stuff, but not the detailed plans, naw."

Scrapper first walks over and stoops down to pick up the piece of machinery Mayday indicated. Then he answers the question. "Well, I can build anything, pretty much," Scrapper mentions. "I usually gotta see da schematics first though. An' nobody showed me any yet."
And yes, this statement is boastful. True, but boastful.

Mayday eyes Scrapper skeptically, but shrugs. They'll see soon enough if it's true or not, and if the 'Con messes up he'll just freak-out and redo it himself. No harm done!
Detaching himself from his current piece of work, he walks closer to the other two and pulls out a pair of datapads. Yes, he has, in fact, stocked up on a few datapads for the sole purpose of showing off the ship designs. So what? Accessing the appropriate section of the designs, he holds the pads up inspirationally "Gentlebots- er, and 'Con- behold... plans!"
Holding the datapads out, he waits to pass them off to eager hands then quickly back away because, ew, other people's hands. And they should be eager! They're designs after all. For a spaceship. What's not to be enthused about?

Boondocker takes the datapad, and stands glancing over it.
He's not quite eager, but it's work. Work is good. Work keeps him focused, and keeps his mind from drifting off to thinking about home.
With that, he nods faintly and starts sussing out a place to get started.
---------- OOC: Fade out?

Scrapper places the large piece in it's proper place, before going to have a look see at the designs.
"Yeah, dat looks pretty good..." Scrapper starts. "But, you could make a few liddle adjustments. Nothin' too big, though."
Yes, Scrapper is being nitpicky. Just nitpicky enough not to sound too snarky.
OOC: Well, we could essentially go on with this for a couple more weeks...

"Oh really?" Mayday says. He may sound skeptical, but he's not the best engineer out there and he's willing to take suggestions for improvements. Just be prepared to seriously debate. "Please, do tell."
He may be awkward with conversation otherwise, but ships? He can talk comfortably about ships. Scrapper, prepare to discuss spacecraft until the cows come home (and considering that Gillanan doesn't actually have cows, that could be a very long time indeed.)
OOC: I'm cool to fade out. Otherwise we'll probably end up in a pit of Star Trek-y technobabble about fictional spacecraft. XD
