Lugnut was expecting to be carted off. Not, however, to be shot by Shockwave, with the blast actually doing what few other weapons can: penetrate his armor and damage the shoulderjoint.
It is enough to make Lugnut drop onto a knee, trying not to cry out at the unexpected pain, ironically enough looking like he is kneeling in front of Starscream now. "S-Spark...One that burns eternally for the great lord Megatro-!" He is interrupted by Starscream, starting to tremble with anger at what the Seeker says. But worst thing is: He's right.
The zealot sputters angrily before finally standing down, staying silent as he looks down at the ground in defeat. "Yes. Punish me, so that I may be redeemed in the optics of Megatron."

Shockwave's optic flickers. Oh, but this one is going to be quite tiresome.
//I am beginning to think his Megatron was possessed of very odd tastes, to have fostered fanaticism.// Shockwave radios Starscream. After a moment he adds, in a very even tone, //You handled that well.//
"You will accompany me to my lab, Lugnut. This is not the place for such punishments. No need to make of this a public spectacle." He offers his hand to the prostrate mech, testing. Will Lugnut take it, thereby tacitly accepting whatever punishment Shockwave plans, or attempt to use the gesture to gain an advantage over the purple gunformer?
Shockwave tilts his head toward Starscream. "Do you wish to observe?" Shockwave is hoping not. This one...this one may prove useful, later, but only if Shockwave can make headway with him now.

Of course Starscream handled that well. Starscream is a people person.
"I think a complimentary blast to the other shoulder joint should make the point clear, Shockwave. Loyal Lugnut here has learned the error of his ways, and his punishment should reflect that." Plus, Starscream has learned exactly what buttons he has to push to get this one to do carry out work.
"You honour the sigil well, Lugnut. Obviously the Megatron you know is very proud of you." Laying it on thick, yes. But that's what you have to do with these sorts.
//If someone here knows this one, we shall ask them for an unbiased account of their Megatron. I'm curious about him myself.// Because that knowledge will make manipulating this one much easier.

Lugnut moves his arm up to take Shockwave's hand, only to have it drop right back down with a pathetic little whirring sound. An irritated growl escapes his vocalizer before taking the cyclops' hand with his other arm, standing up with his aid, though his posture remained one of defeat. He doesn't even move to defend himself or snap back at Starscream!
At the Seeker's comment about the symbol he practically swells up with pride though, even if he tried to hide that with an annoyed tone laced through his heavy voice. "Of course the great, wise and mighty Megatron is proud of me! I am his most loyal, valuable and powerful servant! Why, not even Omega Supreme was able to force me offline!"
Yes, he leaves the part out where he was blasted into a dozen pieces. But he got better so it doesn't count, right?

One of Shockwave's headfins flick back. Ah, well, this is better than having the Seeker watching while Shockwave makes a show of doing horribly painful things to Lugnut. It seems that Starscream is going to be easily satisfied, in this at least, and that Lugnut is taking it.
"Indeed?"Shockwave asks at the mention of Omega Supreme. He aims his cannon at Lugnut's other shoulder, "Perhaps you might allow an examination of your systems then, so that we might copy what every makes you so....durable." Shockwave fires. "For, you see, the Autobots here have an Omega Supreme."
"Now, why I do not believe Starscream intends you to be repaired immediately, I can show you to the medbay for that very exam. If," his gaze swings back to Starscream, "Our leader is done with you?"

Like Starscream said, he's busy. Also, torturing fellow Decepticons is for practical ends, not a hobby.
If Shockwave misses his target somehow, Starscream will order he do it again. If it hits, he'll leave it at that. "He is indeed, Shockwave." He says to the second-in-command.
Shockwave is doing the right thing in carrying out the exam. But Starscream is dubious about the boasting. It is without context, after all. It's easy enough to avoid being forced offline when you are hiding well away from Omega Supreme, or have some kind of Omega-proof shielding, or something.
"So as I was saying. Welcome to Gillnan III. Your fitting in will be easier if you remember that there is no guarantee that another world's character who matches the name of someone you know is going to be exactly the same."
And this is when Starscream drops a bombshell. "For example, I believe there is one world whose Megatron is... three metres tall? And is techno-organic, turning into some kind of Dinob--dinosaur.

"Indeed! I was incapacitated, yes, but it did not kill me, for the glory of Megatron burns strong within m-" His rant is cut short by Shockwave's blast, wincing in pain as it goes through his armor again, but thankfully it misses the joint itself.
Lugnut swallows down the pain, managing to keep standing upright, his attention turning back to the two in front of him once the haze lifted. "Yes, I shall remember that, and redeem myself in the optics of the Great On-" Once again he is cut short, the glow of his optics brightening as he listens to Starscream, a shrill hissing sound coming from deep down his body as little clouds of steam rise up from his vents. Needless to say, he is not happy to hear that.
"WHAT!?" He rears back his left arm before sending it crashing into the wall, growling as rage overwhelmed his body, trying to contain it as best as he can, though he isn't doing a very good job at it. He also appears to be saying something, though the flurry of words are almost inaudible thanks to his angry growling. But if one listens closely, then they can hear such lovely things as "Pretender to the name", "Filthy organic", and naturally some rather inventive ways of making him pay should they ever come face to face.
Thankfully the zealot soon calm down enough to realize that his outburst may not have been smart, bowing just a little before the two, hoping that it might convince them that he is regretting his actions...Which he does, naturally. "Forgive me for my display of righteous rage. It was foolish of me. But the mere thought of a maggot who not only dares to call name himself Megatron, but take on organic parts like that filthy self serving wench Blackarachnia as well...!"

Shockwave covers his optic with his hand. //Was that really necessary, Starscream? We almost had him docile.//
He lets his hand drop, assuming a more neutral stance. "Apparently, such a step is necessary in the evolution of one reality. For more information, you would have to ask the Vehicon Jetstorm- or the Blackarachnia already here, as she comes from that reality set as well."
Shockwave will not add a warning to not antagonize the spider. She is capable enough, he thinks, in taking care of herself.

//In fact, it was.// Starscream radios in response to Shockwave. //His anger is now directed away from us. Besides, he was going to learn of this sometime, best to get it out and deal with it now in controlled circumstances, than to have him throwing a temper tantrum during something important.//
"Shockwave is right--the organic modes offered some form of protection, for some reason. Beyond that I could not tell you any more. As for the Blackarachnia we have here, I think it is safe to say the pair of you are from different, uh, circumstances."
"You are forgiven, Lugnut. Now, we would like to know more about you, the world you come from, and the circumstances you found yourself in, before you arrived here." Starscream assumes a comfortable position leaning on the wall. "And please, assume we are already well-informed of the great, wise, mighty and powerful Megatron."

There already is a Blackarachnia here? Well, that certainly made his armor rattle in disgust. Hopefully this one isn't a technorganic monstrosity like his. "I shall. But I will not approach that annoying hyperactive and overconfident dramatic Megatron-defying pest!" He doesn't bother hiding his hatred for Jetstorm, though, his heavy voice practically oozing with venom.
The zaelot is calmed some by Starscream's words, even less worried now about the Blackarachnia already present here. The last of Lugnut's anger is taken away by Starscream's forgiveness, even having him bow a little in gratitude! "May that mean that the great and mighty Megatron has forgiven me!"
The Seeker shouldn't have asked about Lugnut's reality, though. The glow in his optics brightened as he looks at him, starting to speak in an enthusiastic and almost preaching tone, despite Starscream's request of not saying to much about the great and glorious Megatron. "Ah, but one can never know enough of the wise and great Megatron, the rightful leader of the Decepticons, the one who almost conquered Cybertron...If not for the Autobots being cowardly as always, launching the Allspark to keep it out of our hands, though years after our impossible defeat we would finally find it, in the hands of a mere Spacebridge repair crew! But that was when Starscream, that treacherous, oilsucking, exhaust licking, vile, whiny voiced..."
Lugnut cuts off his rambling before the Seeker decides to shoot him, his voicebox grinding in a way in like how a human might clear their throat, before starting to talk again. "But yes, Starscream betrayed Megatron, wounding him and leaving him with the Autobots! But we made him pay for it, leaving him to his fate as he crashed into a star with our once beloved flagship! For years afterwards we wandered, searching for the Autobots who had taken our leader...And finally we found our glorious leader on a pathetic mudball planet called Earth. The Autobots and fleshlings had reduced him to a mere head, but with my aid we made him more powerful then before, turn that miserable planet into a new base, and construct a Spacebridge that would allow us to retake Cybertron! But to our surprise the Autobot's ship was Omega Supreme all along. We fought valiantly, defying him, almost turning the tide of the battle, but then the lumbering fool landed a lucky shot, and next thing I know I found myself in the swamp of this disgusting world, seperated from my glorious Master!"
Yes, he leaves out the parts where they kept getting outsmarted by the Autobots and that they only used a mine for their base instead of the entire planet. But those are just annoying details that pale in comparison to the glory that are the victories of the great Megatron.

Shockwave listens as Lugnut gives them the Abridged and Biased History of as he knows it. Shockwave leans back against the opposite wall, arms crossed under his chest. An advantage to not having a face is that it is rather hard to tell when one is bored.
Amongst the drivel about Megatron is some interesting information, however, and once the zealot is done, Shockwave muses aloud, "Allspark? And it was sent away to end a war? How interesting. Things were done similarly in Wreckage's reality, were they not Starscream? Though Lugnut obviously is from a different reality then that crowd, it may bear further investigating."
He waves his hand at Lugnut. "Describe your Allspark, form and function as you know, if you please."

"All Sparks. Space Bridges. There are many terms here that seem to exist in multiple realities." Starscream adds to Shockwave's request, "And inform us about your world's Space Bridge technology."

Drivel? It's a good thing Shockwave didn't say that out loud, because it might have send Lugnut into another hissyfit, maybe even a particularly violent one. Instead he waits until they're done talking before engaging his holo-emitter, a 3D image of the Allspark being projected inbetween them. Oddly enough it appears to be a hybrid between the Matrix of Leadership and the Allspark Cube; silver handles, golden colorscheme, opens up to reveal a blue crystal. But it also has a very boxy shape with runes scattered across it's surface, though admittedly they were less complex and random than that of Wreckage's crew.
"The Allspark, that which gave us life! It is our most sacred object, and it has power beyond belief. Some even say that it is sentient, though I do not care about these things, only that the mighty Megatron gets it!" He thinks a bit before changing the image again, showing them a pigtailed Indian child with red hair, before letting her disappear, her key the only thing that remained. "For some reason that only the vast mind of Megatron can comprehend, this organic pest was given a key that could give life to other Transformers, much like the Allspark! Our great ruler believed that it had a connection to the Allspark, but if he ever found out than he deemed me unworthy of bearing such knowledge. A wise decision, for I am only his servant, and it is not my place to know these things!"
With that he shows them some of the Allspark born, the various Transformers flashing by quickly: The Dinobots, Soundwave, the Constructicons, Wreck-Gar...All might appear familiar to the pair, but they also held some differences, some even significant, like the short and stocky Soundwave. "All of these were created by the Allspark. "These were the ones created by the Allspark on that wretched dirt planet. Some were taken aback by Megatron's glory and begged for the Decepticon emblem to be branded upon their chassis, but others sided with the pathetically weak Autobots that foolishly enough tried to oppose us on Earth!"
The projection of the Allspark born is replaced by shots of the Autobot crew in action poses, and surprisingly enough they are almost all significantly different to what they are used to. Well, save for the hulking green oaf, though that might be Ironhide. Of particular interest is their leader, who is unmistakably Optimus Prime, who has quite a few visual themes in common when you ignore the different altmode, with the face being the biggest hint. "But they are not worth another mention, not when we crushed them beneath our heel!" The Autobots are replaced by the image of a Space Bridge, which basically looks a lot like a golden Y with some extra things added here and there, a blue glowing orb in it's middle. "I do not know how these work, but the wretched Autobots have these cowardly devices spread across the universe that they do not deserve. During the Great War these were used against us, Autobots popping in and out of them, left and right...But in the present, they serve as travel hubs. But the Great One proved his glory once again and managed to build one, and with the help of our double agent Shockwave we tapped into the Autobot's network. We were about to invade en masse when that accursed Omega Supreme showed up, and blasted me to this pathetic planet, away from my Glorious Master, the Almighty lord Megatron!"
And just because he can't resist it, Starscream and Shockwave are treated to a larger than life projection of the very Megatron that Lugnut worships, the mere image enough to make him drop to his knees. "Oh, great one! Forgive me for my failure and disappearance! I will return as soon as I am able!"

Shockwave watches the light show with no small amount of interest.
"And you could not, you and your Deceptions, under your Megatron's command, simply destroy a small human child and take such an artifact from it? Obviously, your Megatron must suffer with but fools and incompetents to do his bidding."
"But," he continues, looking at Starscream, "We now have a mystery solved. The Optimus Prime I encountered earlier was the one Lugnut just showed us. A space bridge technician, he says, but still a Prime? Odd. He seemed a warrior, not a repairman."
Shockwave then sighs and tries to tap Lugnut- hard- on the back of the head. "Turn that off."

...why does the giant robot have pictures of a small human girl?
"A whole network of them? Fascinating. We had a similar means of intergalactic transportation, but it was a recent technology, invented by Megatron and I on earth." And when Shockwave moves to brain him for the constant Megatron fanwqank, Starscream ensures this is a shared sentiment. "Thank you, Lugnut, that will be enough."
"As for your statements, this Optimus situation is an unusual one. We know that robot to be the Autobot leader. What can you tell us about him and his abilities?"
