It never even crosses Lugnut's mind that Shockwave might mean him by that. "Oh indeed! They never proved their worth to the Almighty One, not like I have done, countless times agai-" He is silenced rather rudely by Shockwave, reeling forward a bit as the hologram emitter shuts off almost immediately. He only shows his annoyance with a little growl, but doesn't say anything else otherwise, instead standing up and listening to the two speak.
He is confused at their words, though. Even the zealot knows that Prime is a mere rank, though the importance eludes him. Autobot ranks in general give him a headache, though: it is far less streamlined then what the Decepticons have. "My knowledge of the Autobot leader is limited. I have faced him on the battlefield before though and he is quite weak, making up for his lack of strength with a pathetic attempt at resourcefulness and over reliance on his gadgets. He is not worthy of challenging Megatron's might, unlike the Autobot commander Ultra Magnus, yet he keeps trying to thwart the magnificent plans of our glorious leader!"

"Resourcefulness is not a sign of weakness. And it take more than brawn to make a successful leader," Shockwave says, casting a sidelong glance at Starscream, "Determination and will can do much to turn the tide in any battle; I have seen this for myself." And taken advantage of it.
"Mmm, Ultra Magnus leads the Autobots in your reality?" Shockwave sounds...vaguely amused. "How novel. What makes him so fit to rule, and a 'worthy challenge' for your Megatron?"

What, is Shockwave president of this Optimus' fan club now? Meanwhile, Starscream could point out that if his plans are so constantly thwarted, perhaps his Megatron ain't all that. He could. But that would be conter-productive.
Starscream just looks at Lugnut, merely curious as to the answer to Shockwave's question.

"But this Optimus is but a mere field grunt! All the 'talents' that he has showed are no more then that of others who are his rank!" Okay, Optimus may be a little more skilled than that, but Lugnut refuses to both believe that and remember the many times that the Autobots had gotten in their way.
At Shockwave's question he starts up the holo-emitter again, showing them his version of Ultra Magnus. He is quite different from the one that they are used to, beyond the white and blue colorscheme; this Magnus was decked out in almost heavier armor than the other one, his face aged and both wise and stern. That combined with his very stance should leave no doubt that this is the Autobot commander of Lugnut's reality, looking more like what you'd expect of an alternate Optimus Prime than the one who ended up on Gillanan. Of particular note though was a giant hammer held in his right hand like a staff, something that makes him appear even more formidable.
Lugnut looked at the hologram with disdain, growling briefly before starting to speak with clear venom to his voice, secretly wishing that he had tampered the image before showing it to them. "Ultra Magnus! He has led the Autobots ever since the early days of the Great War, his mind, resolve and body almost a match for the Great Megatron. He wields the Magnus Hammer, a powerful Autobot weapon that can summon lightning, though there are only few Decepticons who have seen him use it." And live to tell about it, but again, Lugnut doesn't want to glorify anyone but Megatron, let alone his enemies!

Shockwave simply learned the hard way not to underestimate an opponent simply because they were not your physical equal. As such, it annoys him when others make such an error. It almost always ends badly when they do.
"Hmmm, so if the surname "Prime" is a rank, than what of this Ultra Magnus? Is it a name, a rank or both? The way you describe his weapon would indicate title."
Shockwave leans against the wall again, "For you edification, Prime in most realities is a title, earned or given, and born by those who carry the Matrix- and artifact similar in nature to your Allspark. The Autobots here are lead by a Rodimus Prime, not your Optimus. Hence our slight confusion and continued questions."

"...that would mean that his name is 'Ultra'." Starscream says, dismissively. "What kind of pretentious name is that for an Autobot?"
Joining in with Shockwave, "In fact, Optimus Prime in most worlds is the Autobot's equivalent, both in rank and in physical strength, to Megatron. There are many similarities between realities, and this may not be an exception. He could be destined to become a greater threat than he currently is."

Lugnut actually listens in interest quite intensely, taking in everything that they said. He nods occassionally at what they say, though he finds it interesting that in their worlds, Prime is basically the same rank that Magnus is. The name Rodimus sounds familiar too, but he can't place it...Ah well, it's an Autobot, he doubts that he's very important anyways. "Ah, yes! Magnus is a title given to every Autobot ruler, with the Primes being his subordinates. My own Shockwave for example had disguised himself as an Autobot long ago, climbing through the ranks until he became the Prime in charge of the Cybertron Intelligence. All in the name of Megatron! Do you see now how far all of us are willing to go for him?"
Yes, Shockwave, your alternate is basically Shockwave Prime. Let that one sink in.
Oh, right, back on topic, Optimus Prime. "The Prime has been an annoyance, yes, but it is unlikely that he can ever become more than a pain in the aft to the glorious Megatron!" Oh, if only Lugnut knew.

Shockwave has not forgotten the earlier comments regarding this secret agent Shockwave of which Lugnut speaks. He was, however, hoping to hold off further conversation about his alternate for later. Ah well, no matter.
"Let us dispense with any false notions now. I am not an expert in infiltration. My interests are a bit too...ambitious for such extended subterfuge."
And yet, Shockwave spent over three million years convincing an entire race that he had abandoned all Decepticon ideals, rebuilding a planet and race to match his image of how things should be, and fostering one of that races longest periods of peace. Go figure.

Starscream nods, taking Lugnut's skewed perspective of all things Megatron into account. Sure, his Megatron is probably a threat, but he has to question how perfect Lugnut's take on things is.
Because of that, he doubts there is anything else to learn at this point other than new ways of describing that majesty that is Lugnut's Megatron. "I think that about covers it, Lugnut, unless Shockwave has anything else? I believe you can accompany him to his tests."

Lugnut gives Shockwave a funny look at the 'ambitious' comment, but it disappears briefly again. He turns to Starscream as he speaks up again, trying not to groan at the mention of those tests. Though it would be nice to finally get his shoulders looked at..."Yes, let us depart, so I may receive my punishment!" And so he may be spared from punishing his poor voicebox even further. It has been a long time since he talked this much!

"Nothing else, for the moment," Shockwave says as he pushes himself off the wall. "You may walk beside me. There is enough room."
Shockwave does not want Lugnut behind him. No trust between cyclopses, no!

"Then I shall leave you in the care of my second-in-command." Starscream says, taking off himself.
As he departs, he radios Shockwave. //This is one we are going to have to watch. Carefully.//
OOC: Starscream out of thread.

"Of course." Lugnut watches Starscream walk off before joining Shockwave at his side, leaving the Seeker behind as the two walk off. And while cyclopses may not trust each other, there is a certain foreboding image to the two walking together, leaving the other behind...
