Somehow or other--Duskwing doesn't remember too well, perhaps he was dragged by Blitzwing or helped along by Mistwind or just dragged himself--the battered dark blue and purple Seeker got to Hook's medbay. He was not a happy camper.
Duskwing hugs the wall with one scorched arm, using it to keep from falling down. He's covered with caked mud, and his wingtips, among other things, look slightly bent and out-of-line (not to mention scored with laserburns). Worst and most obvious, his right optic is missing, blasted out by a close-in shot; a thin smudging of soot kohls the optic socket. He stumbles and almost falls, grabbing the wall at the last instant to support himself, and incidentally reveals the gaping exit hole that had been blasted out the back of his cranial case.
"Hook? I need some repairs..."

Watchdogging by the door is Duskwing's accomplice of some sorts, still covered with plenty of mud as well, but otherwise in a healthy state.
The tough 'just making sure he gets his aft repaired'-scowl on his face does little to hide the small tremble that occassionally moves the lower lip...

Hook was working on a console that will go into the spaceship he's building. Then Duskwing came stumbling in, and it's all Hook can do just to stare at the Seeker, aghast.
"How do you keep doing this?" Hook demands. "Do I need to nail you to a wall to keep you from wasting my time with all your damages?!"

"I dunno Hook, you'd probably find rust setting in sooner or later." Blitzwing says, appearing Behind Duskwing.
Partially, he's come to make sure Duskwing didn't bleed out on the way here. Mostly he came to annoy Hook further by giving him more work, though he isn't as badly hurt as Duskwing, his face is still partially smashed and he's got various holes and scorch marks that need to go away.

Duskwing looks affronted. "Hey! I didn't do this--that Wrecker did dis. He shot me!"
He tries to smirk, but something is off; one side of his mouth twitches spastically rather than line up. "Smashed his face worse than Blitzer's, though. Heh."
There are streaks of dark green paint on the top of Duskwing's helm.

Hook spreads his hands and stares at the ceiling in a classic 'why me, God, why me?' pose.
"Sit. Over there. On a clear worktable. Before I change my mind."

Duskwing staggers over to the worktable, leaning against it to support himself. In spite of his bravado, he really doesn't feel so good. That wasn't all empty space that Springer shot out; some of it was functioning circuitry.
"Gyros kinda wobbly," Duskwing says as he suddenly tilts over and crashes noisily onto the table. He sprawls ungracefully face down, optics suddenly dark.
After a second or two, they flicker back on, glowing dimly red. "Oh, and that thing keeps happening. Dunno what it has to do with my optic bein' fragged, though."

"What thing keeps happening?" Hook asks with irritation as he goes to pull diagnostic readouts from Duskwing. Certainly, the Mark 1.0 Optic can make an accurate diagnosis of Duskwing's injuries, but it never hurts to be entirely, without-a-shadow-of-a-doubt accurate.
Hook would normally ask Duskwing what he did to cause all of this damage, but he's learned the blue Seeker can only handle one question at a time.

Duskwing stares blankly at Hook for a moment while he processes the question. "My gyros get buggered and I'm on the floor. Like this table. Dunno how I got here."
He docilely extends the nearest arm with a diagnostic port in Hook's direction.

"Part of your head is missing," Hook points out as he checks the diagnostics.
Well, it looks like Duskwing will live, even if he doesn't receive immediate medical attention. Damn the bad luck.
"Tell me what happened. From the beginning," Hook orders as he gets the supplies and tools to repair Duskwing.

Duskwing's diagnostics may well reveal that the Seeker's gryo-stabilizers are, in fact, "buggered". Possibly due to Springer's laser spraying their control circuitry across the river mud in a fine mist of vaporized metal and semi-conductors. Power distribution to Duskwing's brain component is erratic enough to do funny things to his consciousness level--and then there's the optic. It's just gone, along with the visual processing circuitry behind it.
Longer blank stare. Much longer, as Duskwing tries to remember how things started.
"Oh yeah, me and Mistwind there went for a short flight to test his alt-mode. It worked real good. Really, really good. We kinda overdid it on the fuel, though, so I headed back low and slow, see?" Duskwing waits to see if Hook sees.

"Mhm." Hook reaches for a saw to open Duskwing's head up even further with. He also reaches into Duskwing's holed head and starts disabling pain sensors so the Seeker won't screech when Hook starts cutting him open.

Duskwing's remaining optic widens and brightens, and he nervously clutches the table, fighting the urge to scramble away. Hook does not like it if his patients run away from his tools--even if it does look like Hook is getting ready to dismantle his head for parts.
"Dat feels slaggin' weird!" Duskwing blurts out at Hook poking his hand into the back of his head. He calms down as things stop hurting so much.
"Anyway, we saw dis critter, an' I forget why we landed to check it out. Turns out the critter was dis Micromaster dinobot girl that Moto was yellin' about on the radio, see. Moto said she was a friend and ordered us to rescue her, an' I tole him he weren't my boss, but Blitzwing said to do it anywho, an' since Blitzwing was bringing out spare fuel--hey, did I mention I was about outta fuel? I called in for some, and Blitzer was bringing it out, an' his timing was pretty good, 'cept he hadda go and order me to get the dino dame."
"So da dame acts all friendly like, and then this Autobot jet shows up and comes after her, and I try an' rescue her from the Bot like Moto and Blitzwing said--Hey, are you gonna argue wit' dose two, I ask ya?--an' she goes nuts on me. Spits fire all over me, dat's how I got all scorched. She bit me, too."
"Told Moto she was crazy, and he kept yellin' that we done something wrong, 'cause she was his friendly science girl, an' I think the both of dem is crazy. Dat doll weren't no friendly. Friendly don't try and bite my hand off and set me on fire, see."
Duskwing pauses in his explanation, just in case Hook has any questions.

Hook has no questions. Hook needs no questions!
He instead needs to saw Duskwing's head further open so he can clear out the junked parts and make replacements in more ideal lighting conditions. Which he proceeds to work on.
"Hm. Go on."
There may be something macabre in cutting open's someone's head while they're talking to you.

Duskwing's joints creak as he clenches the edges of the table much harder. Having someone saw open your head, whether or not you are talking to them is absolutely terrifying.
What Duskwing wants to do is run away screaming in terror, or failing that, just scream and scream and scream with the panic that's spreading through every circuit. He knows Hook is just going to repair him, like he did before when that jackleg red Bot slagged up his insides, but old fears die hard. It's one thing when Hook carefully opens up access panels; it's another when a Decepticon medic starts cutting him open.
It reminds Duskwing too much of what he's seen done to Cons deemed too badly damaged to repair by whatever jackleg technician happened to be on the line back on Cybertron.
Duskwing holds on to the table, and fights the panic. He's a Decepticon warrior, he stood up to that crazy clown Prime, he kicked that yellow psycho in the gut even when he was being beaten senseless-- he was angry then. Now he's just scared.
Hook gives him something to focus on. "Uh, yeah. Where was I? Yeah. Dis Autobot jet shows up--all yellow and orange and Blitzwing starts fighting it. I kinda dropped the crazy micro-dino, and hadda go fight Springer--oh yeah, did I mention that? Springer, big green helicopter-bot, showed up. Wait, I ran outta fuel in there somewhere--oh yeah, I was flying to fight the orange jet-guy, and ran outta the last of my fuel, and hadda land real quick. Ditched in the river, kinda rattled Misty there. Don't think any parts fell off. Then Springer showed up while Blitzer was off chasing crazy dino-bint. I'n't that right, Blitzer?"
"Anyway, Blitzer grabs dino-dame, and she whacks out completely and hits Blitzwing inna face wit' dis really big FLAMING hammer! Dat's how his face got like dat; he wasn't always dat ugly." Duskwing snickers.
"So dino-doll is going dat way, and orange bot-jet makes like Thundercracker and hits Blitzer with a flamethrower--geez, like everyone's spitting fire today! So Blitzwing is busy wit' flaming jet-boy, an' I'm looking at Springer, who goes on about bein' the leader of the Wreckers. Guess he's from later, or somethin', 'cause I thought Impactor was the Wrecker commander. Ask Spinister, he prolly knows that slag."
"I tell Springer he's talkin' pretty big for one guy all by hisself, and he says he's not by himself, and dese two other guys teleport down from orbit. Or so he says; dey just appeared outta nowhere, and Mistwind here starts yellin' in my radio that they're fake, it's a trick, and I got mad. Damn Autobots messin' wit' my head again, playing games like dat fraggin' cowardly Clown Prime." His voice trails off in a growl of static.
