Spy Shot clings to whatever he can, holding tightly to Firebolt's head. Glancing around, he has to appreciate this new vantage point. He can see much more from up here than he could from down on the forest floor. Maybe he is so curious because he is small, since it must take much less effort for someone this large to thoroughly view an area.
"I like finding any new things," he says. He really does. Even if they just walked around and didn't manage to find anything 'super duper notable', he'd still be perfectly content.

"Oooh," Firebolt said, as she peered up at a strikingly large tree that looked like it was probably hundreds of years old. It was covered with a moss that almost looked like it was made of crystal. She reached out to touch it but then withdrew her hand, more content to look.
"HEY!!! Take a picture, so we can show others what we find!" She said, going cross-opticed to look up again. She pointed at the tree. After standing there for a few more moments, admiring it, she moved on. The forest had very odd trees, compared to Earth of course which she knew best. There was a tree that looked like it had grown in a spiral upwards, with leaves as big as trucks. Plants on the ground that looked to be like ferns, except their leaves were in huge square shapes.
The plant life was one thing, compared to the animals that seemed to not take much of a notice of the robot walking in their midst. There were bugs as big as humans, that had four skittering legs that they walked on normally, and added in two more when they were climbing up trees, which was mostly all the time. It seemed to be made up completely of spikes, which made it quite unappetizing looking for a predator. One hissed at Firebolt as she passed by, and pointed at it for a picture moment.
"This place is far out..." Firebolt said as she watched something akin to a snake move by. It didn't slither, however, but almost whipped itself across the ground, making its multiple tiny, tiny legs look useless. She pointed at that for a picture moment as well.

Spy shot it thoroughly enjoying himself, perched high upon Firebolt's head. At her direction he turns, lines up a good shot, shifts the proper lenses into place, and takes a picture with a snap. He may record everything he sees and experiences, but that doesn't mean taking pictures is completely without it's use. This way he has nice single images stored away separately from the rest of his memory for easy access.
He continues to glance around, taking pictures as Firebolt points out targets. He remains silent, happy to listen to just listen to her speak. All these animals and plants are very interesting to him, but not especially odd, the camera-bot not having a great deal of experience with any sort of lifeforms other than humans and potted plants.
Curious about her expression, though, he finally decides to ask, "Where is this place far out from?"

"Oh, from Earth," she says. "I dunno what you saw there, but I watched a LOT of TV and saw a lot of shows that were about the things on Earth that weren't often seen by others. I lived in the cities most of the time, so that's how I saw a lot of stuff," she continued explaining.
She jumped as something skittered across her foot, letting out a yelp of confusion. Her ponytails fanned out into their satellite dish forms as she looked down to see a large green bug about to claw at her armor with very large pointed legs. Firebolt let out a scream that was a mix of an engine roar, a honk, and various musical bits at high pitches and punted that bug as far as she could.
But then there were two bugs. Then six. Then twelve. They all started hissing at Firebolt, who was staring down at the ground, ponytails still fanned out as she stared around at the many, many bugs that started appearing.
"NOT THE PAINT JOB!" She declared, starting to run. "OH I HATE BUGS. ALWAYS WITH THE GETTING IN THE TINY SPOTS AND DYING." There was a screeching from behind her and apparently... She had disturbed many of the pointy bugs in what would be an underground nest. The screeching and clicking got very loud, almost as loud as her scream earlier. She stopped running to look back and see a nearly green-wave of bugs chasing after her.
"Well SHIT," She said, before glancing up. "Lil dude, you better hang on tight," she said, as her ponytails folded up. With that, she started running, with a huge wave of bugs skittering and screeching hot on her trail.

Spy Shot does as Firebolt commands and holds on tight. At the same time he peers back at the mass of insects behind them, tilting his head in curiosity. It appears that his companion may be distressed by these bugs. Perhaps they are bad guys? Maybe he should flashy-thing them. On the other hand, perhaps they are not... He should ask!
"Are those bad guys?"

tomph tomph tomph
The sound of Firebolt running through the forest makes the ground shake a bit where she steps. She is VERY INTENT on not getting mauled by clicking-bugs, much less having them attack her little passenger. She stumbles over a rock but keeps her balance the best she can to continue.
"Well they're not BAD per say..." She says as she leaps over a fallen tree, scattering a small group of furry ball-like creatures which were possibly creatures. She was very careful to not step on them. "But they are acting on their primal instincts or something like that... And those primal instincts tell them to attack us!! Or rather me. Me because I am big and stompy. I don't want 'em to get you cos you are tiny but YET an accomplice to my stomping!"

Spy Shot bounces about, clinging tightly to his perch. This isn't nearly as bouncy as when he was fighting with Pee-Dee, but he also had a much securer location that time, so the effort in keeping put about evens out.
He's not sure what to make of Firebolt's explanation. If they were bad guys, he would flashy-thing them. If they wanted to kill him like humans, he would run and hide (possibly after flashy-thinging them as a distraction). But he's not sure what to do about insects attacking due to primal instincts. Does the attacking make them more bad guys or like humans wanting to kill him?
When in doubt in a potential combat situation... ask! "Should I flashy-thing them?"

Will flashy distract the bugs? Or even wondering further, how will she manage to keep going while he flashies? Oooh if she could only get out of the forest and onto flat ground, then she could zoom-zoom fast away from the bugs.
"Ok, lil dude," she says, pulling out her boomerang to whack at a tree that's in her way and pass by it as it falls, hopefully as a good deterrent to the click-clicks. She shoulders the boomerang as she runs. "You get ready to do your lil flashy-flash. I am going to continue running and--- YYIIIIIIIIIIII!!!" She yells, suddenly coming face to face with flying versions of the click-clicks. These are basically the same bugs as before, except with long spindly wings that beat in the same fast manner as bees. Dear god, bees.
"RIGHT TURN RIGHT TURN," She declares, skidding to a halt and then bolting off to her right. "Oh I HATE bugs I HATE THEM!" She whines. "SPYYYYYYSHOTTTTT FLASHYFLASHYFLASHYFLASHY PLEASE."
The click-click bugs notice the sudden change in direction and adjust. Now the wave is on the ground as well as in the air. Run faster, Firebolt!

Command received! Facing the bugs - and look at that flying variation, how interesting! - he charges his flash.
"Close your eyes," he tells Firebolt. He is well aware that most Transformers don't really have eyes that they can close, himself included, but human terminology is what he grew up with, and 'close your eyes' is a close enough approximation to 'block out visible light' for him. Following his own directions, he temporarily blocks out what humans considering the visible spectrum of light, and lets out a blinding burst of white light.
Returning his vision to normal, he watches to see what effect his flash has on the bugs.

Firebolt squints her optics shut after taking a good look at the path ahead, making sure there's nothing dangerous to fall over.
The blinding light does indeed stun the bugs in a very odd way: they start running or flying in circles, not sure where they're going! They started bumping into each other or into trees and rocks, their mass eventually becoming a big clusterfuck of confused bugs.
Firebolt turns after hearing the click-click noise get further away and looks back. She sees the confused mess and throws her arms up in a cheer. "Yes!" She declares, throwing her arms up in triumph. "Oh but no time for a victory dance," she says, turning and running again. She makes a few cuts through the forest, making an odd trail to follow now that she has time, and then quickly makes her way towards the largest opening space she can scout through the trees, which ends up being a large rocky outcropping. She clambers up the side halfway to look around and then takes note of which direction leads the way out of the forest.
"I wonder if I'm gonna have to move my secret base because of the click-clicks," she says as she hops down and runs in the direction of open area. "I hope not, I like that place. BUT isn't this gonna be interesting to tell the others? 'Hey guess what guys, I got mauled by BUGS! Ain't that grand?' HA! They're all gonna laugh at me." She nearly laughs hysterically as she makes her way out onto the open plains and then throws her arms out. "Freedom, lil dude! No more bugs!"

Spy Shot feels a small sense of accomplishment at the effect of his flash. He, a camera, has defeated the swarm of insects, and has helped saved them from the apparent threat. "I flashy-thing bad guys," he tells Firebolt, with a barest hint of smugness.
He listens as his companion speaks, cheering at their escape, but can't think of anything to say in response. Instead he focuses on their surroundings, the trees giving way to more open land and his field of view suddenly expanding.

"Damn straight you did," she said, walking leisurely along now. She puts her hands behind her head as she walks, making sure she doesn't force Spy Shot to be uncomfortable or move. "I wonder if we should warn anyone about the bugs or just let 'em find out for themselves?"
She continues walking for a little bit, before looking up. "Do ya mind hopping off for a second? I wanna transform so I can drive. You can ride on my dash if you'd like," she offers her hand up so he can hopefully hop on.

Spy Shot considers Firebolt's question about warning people carefully, then replies, "Knowledge is meant to be shared." He does like sharing knowledge, however little he has compared to others, and having others share it with him is even better.
"I do not mind," he says, hopping down onto Firebolt's hand. He peers down at the ground, trying to judge how far away it is and how much of his impact the grass will below. Deeming the current distance a bit too high to risk it, he decides against jumping for the moment. However, if Firebolt is planning to set him down, you can bet that as soon as she lowers her hand to about waist-level, this camera is going to make a leap of faith.

Before Firebolt does transform, however, she carefully cups her hands together, so Spy Shot has a bigger place to stand, and holds him up to her eye level, "Thank you for helping me!" she says, going to nuzzle against him like a kid carefully snuggling a stuffed animal. If he doesn't want the contact, he can easily move away, as she left quite a bit of room on her hands for him to move around.
She then lowers her hands, going to gently put Spy Shot down, not knowing he's planning to jump. Either way, once he is out of her hands, she steps back and transforms, and her door opens. The small visual of herself on a screen in her dash waves. "C'mon in and choose anywhere to sit," she says. "I will be your chauffeur back to base!"

Spy Shot doesn't shy from the nuzzle, responding with a pat to Firebolt's cheek. Then as she lowers him, he does, in fact, take a leap before her hand reaches the ground, landing on his feet, toppling over, and immediately getting back up. He's fallen from farther onto harder ground (though not always without injury). The soft grass is a rather nice change from hard floors.
He stands still as Firebolt transforms, enjoying watching the shift of one shape into another, and upon her invitation begins the process of climbing in. It helps a lot that Firebolt's alt mode is very low to the ground, but a lot of jumping and scrambling up are still involved, along with even more climbing and leaping in order to get on top of her dash.
