The songs reel their way through the playlist, varied as the types of people at the party. Firebolt is just damn glad to play DJ, instead of just watching. "Wow, who'da thunk that I'd be so happy here," she said half to herself as she threw her arms up behind her head and leaned back a bit. "I kinda miss Earthers being crazy though..." She cocked her head to the side, eying the odd version of Swerve who was all nonthreatening and such nearly falling over. How bizarre! "OIIIIIIII who wants to to another place and f'kn break dance! Or just attempt to dance if you suck!" She declares. "Don't make me go alone~." After a moments waiting, she starts 'dancing' to the next song that's playing, out of boredom. If that's a song to be bored and not get stuck in your head... Caramell Dansen... Example of the absolutely annoying dance and music Firebolt is playing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs6GYBPNrrU Crosspost'd

And now that Swerve has regained his balance, the hyperactive silver ball of goofiness is zipping around the newly arrived Botanica towards the far too sober fellas over there.
Yes. That's right. Jazz is coming around for another pass... still singing. "Organically grown Through the hemisphere I roam To make love to the angels of light, yeah and my girl I guess you just don't understand It's gone beyond bein' a man As I drift off into the night I'm in flight!"
Except instead of slipping in to dizzy Swerve again, Jazz is facing someone else. Grabbing Kup's hands, where the old guy just steadied the little guy after the first pass, the hyperactive, and most certainly drunk Jazz leads into an extremely sloppy tango.
One, and two and Dip!
And once Kup has recovered from being startled, and is no longer a mobile dance partner, there was a word that caught Jazz's attention...
Breakdance? Someone said a magic word, didn't they?
"Heyhey you got some breakdancin' music there?" Ligthning fast expression change to gleeful. "I think I got some if you don't."
Just as suddenly as he intruded upon the conversations, Jazz is off and running after Firebolt.
At least it's obvious that someone is unwound, and having a good time, right?

"Breakdancing, eh?" She's not good at that, really. Under normal circumstances, she'd realize she could damage things breakdancing. But, she's not quite normal right now. Nay, she's gotten herself rather drunk. As such, her opinions on the matter are different. "Why not?"
She's off after Jazz and Firebolt. Almost runs into someone, but doesn't notice who. Drunken tankbots planning to breakdance do not mean good things for the dance floor.

"I've been practicing so much since I got out here, cos I never got to before, and now there's so much space!" She half talks to Jazz, but isn't looking at him. She's looking around the empty buildings for a suitable flat area that isn't covered in rubble, crud, and junk.
After a moment's search, she finds an area with only a few big pieces of junk in the way. "Here... Let's clear this -umpth- out," she says as she shoves against a piece of rubble and moves it out of the way. "I will not stand for getting banged up while dancing unnecessarily." She looks over at Ironfire while she's shoving the junk away and smiles "I can teach you the basics, if you'd want? S'not as hard as you'd think."

"Bamged up is bad." Jazz laughs, "Bad 'nuff that hittin' the ground can scuff your finish if you're not careful."
Jazz skates to the middle of the cleared area, and does a quick handstand, twists around, and leaps back to his feet. Maybe he has a few moves that Firebolt doesn't have.. he did get to look at the internet when he was on Earth. Can't you tell from the way he talks? Can't you tell by the way he walks?
Or maybe that's just the drunk walking and talking.
"Heyhey-- wanna start with this one? 'No Sleep Till Brooklyn' might be easy enough-- ooh! Or maybe this one?" A sudden blare of sound starts pumping through pricy speakers.
~W-wh- wh-What's going on!?~
That's it... the old song that probably haunts the dreams of many an old skool breakdancer. Axel F. Not quite the original, but close-- with lyrics.
Is it time to bust a move? Sure is!

"Here, let me get some of that." Ironfire steps foreward to start moving some of the junk herself. She nearly trips while carrying a large piece, elicting a cry, but manages to maintain her balance. For now.
She smiles back at Firebolt. "Sounds great, thanks." Perhaps unwisely, she drinks a bit more. It's a party, after all. Drunken dancing is an integral part.

"I ain't gonna get served tonight," Firebolt mutters as she brushes her hands off from the rubble and then looks at the flat spot. "You choose the first song, I choose the next, a'ite?"
Once Jazz moves out of the way she takes her moves out, pulls a flip and then lands on her hands, then switches to one hand, and hops a second, before swinging her legs down and around and flipping back up, but almost in slow motion. A couple leg switches and then she leans back down to one hand and flips once more before jumping completely back up and flashes the rock symbol to Ironfire and Jazz, a huge, happy grin on her face.

Not gonna get served? How's that work? Eh. There's nothing really competitive about this dance right now-- Jazz is hammered, and more interested in having fun, than he is showing up a young'un. Besides that... there's a Cala Lilly floating about that might distract him... and soon. "You betcha." Jazz grins, "More fun that way!" Hm. 1990. One arm down, four pronged hand contacting the surface, then the other. Jazz's legs swing up into the air, as he walks a tight circle on the hands. Legs, of course, are following, but tightly controlled enough not to flail.... Until he freezes, at that particular spot in the music that's most appropriate. One leg bent, one straight up. From one angle, Jazz might look as though he's making the number '4' with his body. And then he drops back onto his feet. "Let's see you go, li'l sister." <OOC: Sorry for slow response time. members.tripod.com/breakdanceuk/Moves/1990.html >

Ironfire steps back to watch Firebolt and Jazz do their dancing. She tosses them each a thumbsup after their respective finishes.
"Verry nice." She's quite impressed by the agility, even though she's seen such movements before. "I dunno if I'll be able to do anything close to that..." Some 'bots are agile. Jazz and Firebolt are both this sort. Some 'bots aren't as agile. It is easy to guess which fembot belongs to that category.
"Maybe I'll just watch you two for a bit more..."

Oh ho... A grin crosses Firebolt's face as she prepares to jump into a step series but then stops.
"Aww, Ironfire, I told you I'd teach you to dance, and I hate seeing peoples left out..." She says as she walks over and beckons Ironfire over. "C'mon, let's learn you the basics. Well... If that's all right with Mr. Jazz here." She looks over, tilting her head to the side.

Mr. Jazz?
Mr. Jazz?
No answer. Someone missed the question. Jazz was crouching by the sideline, waiting to see what Firebolt would come up with to top that, while Axel F was still playing, but... Wait. That's not breakdance music coming from the speakers. Somehow mid-phrase, it became an entirely different beat. One two three--Is that a tango? Yes. Yes it is. The Tango Maureen... Something's distracted Jazz from the breakdancing, and that thing-- is a person. Pretty bright Botanica is walking through the area, and close enough that there is no real warning about what happens next. A swift moving spring from the crouch, into a full skate over to Botanica. Jazz grabs an arm, and sweeps an arm around her waist. Chin to forehead, holding tightly as he leads her into a slow tango walk. "Hello beautiful, Tany." If she can see his face, he's grinning to beat the band. Not somber like most tangoers-- maybe it's the drunk talking, but heck, she's gorgeous, and needs a good dance. Preferably by someone who's got style. Like. Him. One two three... Spin, and dip. <OOC: Grabbing of Botanica done with permission. She's free to break away, if she'd like. >

Botanica is simply trying to thread her way through the dancers toward Skyfire and company. She is rather intent on her goal, and so doesn't even notice Jazz until he's literally swept her off her roots. Half-formed protests die on her lips as she's tangoed quite expertly, and by the time Jazz spins and dips her, Botanica is playing along, matching his movements and somehow managing to mimic the proper leg movements without having legs.
It's worth noting that she's managing this without spilling one drop of her energon. There are advantages to having four hands, after all. Botanica is smiling, even laughing a little. She's had a few drinks, and it has been quite some time since she'd indulged in a bit of fun and flirtation.
"I wouldn't have pegged you as a fan of this type of dance, Jazz," Botanica says, a teasing quality to her tone.

Ironfire flashes Firebolt a smile. "Sure!" Learning's good. Let's see how well it works! She walks on over, a couple slight stumbles revealing that the drinking she's been doing has impaired her dexterity to a degree. Hopefully this doesn't bode too badly for her attempts at dancing.
She can't help but laugh as Botanica is roped into the dancing. She silently agrees with Botanica's tease; Jazz certainly doesn't seem the type for this. Botanica's keeping up without legs is quite impressive itself. But, she has dancing of her own to learn!

Firebolt's about to say something, before she stops and stares. Now's the time to wonder if those two whole drinks got her buzzed. No... Not that much power surging in her systems could make her drunk enough to see... "WELL THAT'S A PLANT." She states loudly as she scratches at her head, boggling. So the giant robot that turns into a car thinks a plant is odd. Go figure. She frowns, and then shakes her head. "Hmmnph," Firebolt sighs, as she scrolls through the songs on her system. She chooses a basic beat and streams it through her speakers. "C'mon, Ironfire, I said I'd teach ya," she waves the other off to the side, leaving the odd dancers to themselves. "OK! So step one... Start on your left foot, with your right foot back and your arms held backward, like so," She demonstrates carefully, showing the start of the basic move. "Then... Jump forward on your right foot while at the same time sending your left foot back, crossing over." Carefully, and as slowly as she can without falling over, she replicates the move she's explaining. "And then, just do the opposite, back and forth." "Kay, got it? It's called the Top-Rock, and it's the basis of a lot of steps," Firebolt says. She does the step a few times, before switching and dropping back into a one hand stand and imitates the step up-si-down. A big grin crosses her face as she holds it for a second, before dropping back down. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N7ES3HqWBU

One of those odd trivia facts about the Tango is that the dance is very much suited for multiple dancers. As in, no cutting straight across the dance floor, since it's pretty much rude.
And since there is no third or extras for drama, just Jazz and Botanica will have to do.
The tango rythm continues. Light piano music, light conversation, light music ---
There's sort of a half shrug from Jazz, as the first non-resising victi-- partner of the evening, as she comments on the dance.
"Music and dance go together. Patterns meant to be imitated, an' a language waiting to be used." Jazz's grin turned to a bright smile. "'Sides. If I was only into break dancin', I wouldn't have an excuse to talk to an angel."
Soft humming as he leads back the other way, carefully not near the area where the gals are practicing.
"Not to mention, it can be just as much fun, especially when your partner is as graceful as you are."
Silly Jazz. It's an excuse to dance with the prettiest flower lady on the roof, who has not smacked him for being fresh, or taking her by surprise, or told him he was crazy.
Yeah. Flirtation. It's difficult to tell a drunk Jazz from a sober Jazz sometimes.
