"If it comes to it," Rodimus murmurs as he walks forward. For now, the large whatever-it-is seems content to leave them alone. "I worry that his workload is getting a bit large - and that we're relying too heavily on him." For Rodimus, Perceptor has the odd distinction of being one of the few to actually benefit from the reality re-write. He watched Perceptor killed - that's where the body in the morgue comes from, Rodimus is quite certain. But after the Time Wars, when Rodimus returned to a Cybertron that was firmly under Galvatron's heel, he also returned to a Perceptor who was alive and well back in Autobot City. Even so, that body works as a reminder that what can happen once may happen again.
"We do have other scientists and other engineers with us. Maybe no one that covers both at once, but they should be able to co-operate between them." Everyone is important. No one should be essential. That just leads to disaster.
They walk a bit further, and Rodimus stops. "I think we're under the resevoir now, but..." he hisses softly as he spots a stairway scaled for a much smaller species. "Looks like I'm going to have to find another way out, at least."

Wheelie nods. Perceptor was just his first suggestion because he's the one he's most familiar with.
"At least if it's too small for you, it's still small for most Decepticons too."

"I'm a little bigger than most Decepticons," Rodimus points out as he looks up the stairs, a slight, mischievous smirk rested on his lips. "But you do make a good point."
He turns towards Wheelie, his smirk widening to a full grin. "Why don't you see if you're too big," he gestures. After all, if Wheelie can fit up there, he can lead larger Transformers down this way.

Wheelie nods and heads forward. However, when he goes to step up the embankment, it proves to be more than a bit slick. Slicker than he had actually anticipated. His foot shoots out from under him like a rocket, and he crashes head first back into the murky water of the sewer.
Splut!
He thrashes and gasps, before realizing that the water isn't all that deep and he can, in fact, just stand up. He'll definitely need a cleansing cycle or two after this, but hey, it's better than drowning. If robots could drown, that is.
"Wheelie thinks sewer built on the cheap! It almost sent him down in the deep!"
With that rhyming pronouncement, he hops again, this time making it to the steps. He keeps it light, just in case they want to crumble under him, but he manages to climb successfully. "Looks like this one is a sure bet. If Wheelie goes here, he'll be all set!"

"Well, they haven't been maintained for almost a year and a half, Wheelie," Rodimus answers, trying very hard not to laugh and not completely succeeding. He trudges over to help the Minibot up, but Wheelie manages on his own too quickly. "Besides, what counts as sturdy to an organic isn't always the same thing to a large robot, even small-sized large robots."
The Prime watches Wheelie's ascent as closely as he can, head tilted back and expression once more sober. With Wheelie's final words, he nods. "Can you open the door to get out? It won't do you much good to get up there if you can't then get out of here."

Wheelie gives the door an experimental tug. It doesn't budge. He tries again, harder this time. It rattles in its frame, but it still doesn't budge.
He settles for staring at it and counting. One, two, three, four, five...
He tugs again, this time rather manically. The door still refuses to budge.
Looking about ready to kill the door, he instead gets a pleased expression on his face and pops out his knife. Working it like a crowbar, he tries to pry the door open. When this doesn't work, he tries another position. This too, completely fails to open the door.
He tries more tugging. Naturally, this fails to do anything.
"Stupid thing, you open door, or Wheelie will kick you to the floor!" He gives the door a good, swift kick.
It promptly opens up, swinging away from him. If Wheelie had been paying attention, he'd have noticed, in careful alien script, the phrase "PUSH" written on the door.

Rodimus can't help it. He laughs. It's not a mocking sound - cheerful and good natured, but still, he's laughing.
He wouldn't blame Wheelie for not reading the script, though. Jazz is still working on that.
"Well, now that you've shown that door who's boss, why don't you check out what's beyond, make sure you've got a clear route to the surface? I'll go another way and meet you up there."
So Rodimus is about to let Wheelie fend for himself? Yes. Absolutely.

Fortunately, Wheelie is too "young" to know any curse words, Cybertronian or otherwise. Never the less, he steams a bit, both at his own misfortune and at Rodimus's laughter, however good natured it was. He can't help but feel that it reflects on his own inexperiences.
On the other hand hand, Rodimus clearly has plenty of confidence in him. So perhaps it all evens out.
"Wheelie will forge ahead, on this you can have no fear. He'll head forward, while you go back, and meet you when you draw near."

"Good," Rodimus answers, grinning. "I'll see you topside, then." And with that, Rodimus turns and trudges back down the sewer, leaving the Wild Boy of Quintessa to his own devices.
End-scene.
