Swerve looks up from the wires and circuits he's sorting through and fixes an incredulous look on Wedge that wavers only once throughout the Buildbot's explanation, and that's when Swerve glowers at him.
"Hide the bodies…?" The racer snorts and looks around. Never mind that Gizmo raises a fine point – where the smelt would they hide them? – what's the point if they've already taken most of the useful parts? Less to worry about the Decepticons getting. "If a bunch of picked-over husks are that important, why not just stick around and defend 'em?" Doesn't make sense to him, getting protective over the dead, but any excuse to shoot Decepticons seems good enough.

Sideburn looks up from where he was picking over the burned body and not finding much of anything in usable condition. "Decepticons? Slag..." He starts gathering up the stuff he had already collected and putting his tools back in subspace.

Okay, maybe Wedge emphasized the wrong thing--no he did emphasize the wrong thing. "Okay, Rodimus said to make an attempt, but what we've really got to worry about are keeping the sensors out of Decepticon hands," he raises the circuits in his hands. "Gizmo and I have the essential pieces and they'll be easy to keep around."
"As for hiding the bodies...we can bury them. I've got that covered. It won't take long at all, I promise." Not if he can help it. After all, digging is what the Build Team is known for. Quickly, he subspaces the circuit boards. Hands free, Wedge backs up a step and transforms, a not-so-shiny bulldozer revving in his place.
It won't be long at all before Wedge finishes scooping out a gaping hole in the desert floor. The Buildbot just has to keep reminding himself that they're not going to be leaving the bodies here to rust. They're going to dig them back up and take them back to base when everything's done with. Cause that's the right thing to do.

Once Wedge looks to be about done with the hole, Gizmo goes to the bodies and grabs the burned and melted-looking one by a couple of limbs, dragging it toward the hole. Whatever did this guy in, it really did a number on him. It doesn't look like anyone from his universe, but he wonders if anyone back at base would have known this guy, whoever he is.

Meanwhile, some distance away but rapidly closing that distance, a blue F-15 roars over the black sands, keeping as low as safely possible in the hopes of minimizing his chances of being seen. Hopefully his companions are also taking the hint -- no sense in one jet playing stealth when the rest decide to give everyone away.
Fear is a weapon of its own, after all, and what better terror to spring than the terror of a surprise attack?
//Keep low// he advises his companions over a short-range connection. //We'll ambush 'em.//

They're going to bury the bodies. Decepticons are on the way, these guys want to get clear before the late entries show up, but first they stop to bury the picked-over bodies.
"Primus frag me," Swerve snarls, mostly to himself, in disbelief at this whole affair. Whatever happened to doing something sensible, like leaving everything and getting a move on if they're supposed to be in a hurry? Instead, Wedge is digging away over there and here sits Swerve, resignedly – and with no small amount of quiet cursing – stowing tools and salvage that'll have to be fully sorted later. Right now, still muttering, engine echoing a discontented growl, he gets to toss this Brawn guy in to… what? Make somebody feel better about leaving these unlucky piles of spare parts here? If he wasn't hauling one such pile right now, Swerve wouldn't believe he had a part in this. And it'll take two, maybe even the three of them to shove in that last brute. At the rate things are going, he'll probably get to shoot some Decepticons anyway.

A few hundred meters to Thundercracker’s right, a slightly duller-than-usual blue berkut appeared, a trail of dust being kicked up behind her. //Ambush?// Skystrike grumped despite her attempt at keeping her voice neutral. //We are poorly camouflaged and exceedingly noisy aerial machines. Ambushing Autobots will be rather difficult in this manner.// She takes a moment to clear the snippy tone out of her voice before continuing.
//Your sonic boom. I can go in for strafe first and then you can follow up with your sonic boom. I’ll have time to come back around continue the attack after you're done with your round then, and so on,// she made a slightly distasteful noise over the link after that. //Hopefully we'll be able to keep the barrage constant enough and that they'll be too disorganized to fight back.// Skystrike is too grumpy to feel the joy of battle at the moment.

"Sigh. Blah blah blah go do this. Blah blah blah go do that," Jetstorm talks to his hand as it 'talks' in return and then makes a huff sound. He flips up into a cloud and then peers out, moving along at his own 'I'm staying higher than you' pace.
// So yea. I'm gonna... Shoot them. I guess. Yea....// Jetstorm trails off distracted by a cloud that looks weird. Clouds are weird to him anyway, mind you.

Sideburn gets moving right away. Hey, if Wedge wants the bodies buried, then best to get them buried fast. Since Swerve and Gizmo are taking care of the other two, he gets started on trying to move the big guy.
'Trying' is a very good word for it.

He's probably going to end up feeling really brash after this isn't he? Especially if they end up exchanging shots with the Decepticons, even more if the others get hurt because of this. Wedge has yet to learn that things can't always go the way he wants them too, no matter the will-power.
As soon as the pit is complete, it takes a bit of scrambling but the Buildbot makes it out and makes a direct bee-line towards Sideburn and the huge bulk. Wedge doesn't say a word, but offers a brief encouraging smile as he puts his shoulder into the pushing of the last body. Hopefully, they'll be up and out before too long.

Once Gizmo has Brawn's body in the hole, he goes and helps shove at the larger body. Many hands make light work, or something to that effect...
"So if 'Cons come while we're still here, what's the plan?" he asks.

//Point taken// Thundercracker replies a little testily. Yes, he can admit she's right. No, he doesn't have to be happy about it.
//Better idea, I suppose. Very well, I'll follow your lead. Jetstorm, yes, shoot at stuff, but try to focus on keeping the Autobots disorganized, all right?//

Swerve has Brawn covered. Thanks anyway. Once the Minibot's husk has been slung into Wedge's hastily-dug pit – and assuming the melted, mangled mess has already made it in – Swerve gets out of the way when that big bruiser starts skidding forward. He'd leave the other three to take care of it and maybe should so he can keep a lookout on the off-chance the Decepticons do show up before they can clear out. Instead, he finds himself taking up a spot at one end and shoving right along with them.
"I'm just taking a guess," he grunts as he casts an unimpressed look at Gizmo, "since I don't make the plans, but shooting them sounds like a good idea." A few feet more and they'll be good to throw a cover on the mess and get moving. Swerve might even be happier with the situation if he wasn't busy wondering what the smelt is that sound. Those sand things coming back? But we ditched them! He scowls and shoves harder, considering. No… sound's different. It almost sounds like roaring engines, but it's faint, distorted by distance and terrain.
It's also getting louder.

Scourge doesn't much enjoy his ride in Thundercracker's cockpit. He much prefers stable ground to a moving cockpit. Can't do experiments in a moving jet too well. But, as long as nobody decides to shoot Thundercracker's cockpit, he should be fine. Hopefully, this will end soon.
Skippable. Also, in TC with player's permission

Skystrike just gives an affirmative over the radio in response to Thundercracker before routing power to her engines. She breaks the sound barrier with a thunderous crack, a maelstrom of sand rising up behind her. It was rare that she ever actually takes the lead in charging at the enemy. In this case though, she just didn’t want to get caught in the shock waves that Thundercracker’s sonic boom ability produced.
//Jetstorm, if you can, give us the number of Autobots in the area and warn us if there are reinforcements coming,// he was the only one at a high elevation after all. The seeker rumbles softly to herself as she speeds off, cannons powering up and missiles armed. A second or so later, she could just about see the bright colors of the Autobots against the black dunes, their shapes clear on her radar. Only a small group it seemed. This shouldn’t take too long then. Hopefully.
Not wasting another moment, the berkut launches her missiles.
