OOC: This takes place the day after the meeting between Rodimus Prime and Starscream. Decepticons and Autobots-3 are welcome to join this thread, or start other interaction threads of their own.
Fleetwind is watching the Autobot camp, and he is being obvious about it.
He stands on a craggy overhead, far enough above heads that he has a good head start if he needs to flee, low enough that not only can he easily view those on the ground (he can watch them from much higher), they can easily watch him. He stands perfectly still, and his expression is completely neutral, almost... disinterested.
He's been standing there all morning, not antagonizing, not taunting. Just watching. Perhaps he will move soon.

And perhaps the slight glint of silver in the sparse shade near the furthest edge of the Autobot encampment will catch Fleetwind's attention...
The being there probably is hoping not. After all, Jazz is not known for wanting attention-- at least, not this Jazz.
Blue visor, half covers the shadowed face, as pale optics watch Fleetwind looming above. Probably waiting to see if the need for strategic withdrawal should spark, if that pale yellow seeker should decide that there is hostile actions going on this far below.
Yes. This Jazz isn't known for bravery either. Or maybe it's a matter of putting self-interest in front of visions of gaining ultimate glory.
It's kept Jazz alive this far. Sort of.
Guess it's a stand off. Who's going to blink and move first?

Funnily enough, in Jazz's reality, Fleetwind likely is known for bravery. Quite the opposite here, however, though with individuals like Starfighter and Shortround around, even Fleetwind would have a hard time claiming the title of 'biggest Decepticon coward.'
If the contest is to see who moves last, then Fleetwind most assuredly loses, for he turns his head just slightly in the direction of a silver glint that catches his optic. He stares quite closely, quite intently, at the area of the glint for a few moments. Then he inclines his head very slightly, almost imperceptibly, in a nod and goes back to watching the camp as a whole.
Just because Fleetwind doesn't trust these strange Autobots doesn't mean he feels the need to establish an antagonistic relationship with them. He doesn't trust his fellow Decepticons, either, after all.

Staring. Staring.
Jazz almost shrinks back at the gaze that has found silver, but recovers to step out into the light, and keep the wary gaze upon the pale figure.
Perhaps there is no hostility intended, however Fleetwind ... has an effect that would possibly surprise him if he knew the thoughts going through the Autobot's mind right now. And the reason for it.
Quite frankly, Fleetwind /scares/ Jazz.
Indeed, the other Fleetwind may be brave, loyal, and last from battle, however Jazz is not, and knows it-- and somehow can't quite shake the impression of the 'other' from processors that are still adjusting to the light of this new place, so close to the Decepticon camp.
"What'm I doin' here?" The gruff voice mutters very quietly, thereby losing the unofficial 'Quaker Meeting'. Jazz doesn't normally question, and rarely out loud, but this is an odd situation. "Gettin' myself killed, most likely."
Maybe Jazz should've stayed back at base with Tiny.

Fleetwind would be very surprised to learn that Jazz fears him.
Indeed, Fleetwind is here, watching, out of his own fear. He fears these Autobots, and so he studies them for when the Sudden Inevitable Betrayal comes (no matter which side pulls it off). So he can be prepared. He studies them openly so that in the meanwhile, he cannot be accused of spying in secret.
He's spying quite openly.
Fleetwind is far too far away to catch Jazz's words, but the faintest buzz indicates that someone has spoken. Fleetwind once more turns and looks down towards the silver car, now no longer hidden. Puzzlement pulls the edges of his lips down in a the faintest of frowns, and knits his brow ever so slightly. He tilts his head faintly and takes a half-step towards the ledge he stands near.
He is not adverse to conversing with these strange Autobots, if he can do so safely. It gives him more opportunity to study them. The half-step is question and invitation.

Jazz's hands are empty at the moment.
And the fearful yellow figure moves a half step towards the ledge, bringing another jolt of fear through Jazz. Is Fleetwind coming down here....?
No. And Jazz mentally scolds the irrational/rational terror back into submission. They are allied with these Decepticons. They will not dare shoot one of these Autobots with no provocation. And the little Autobot will give them none...
Not right now, anyway...
Curiousity and bravado masks whatever was keeping Jazz in the shadows.
Full light. No shadows. Head tilting back to give an almost cat-like gaze upwards.
"It must be very dull in your base," the rasp has increased due to the distance, "For you to enjoy watching us sleep."

The corners of his lips turn up, changing the faintest of frowns to the faintest of smiles, but the smile doesn't settle anywhere but the lips, and stays far away from the optics.
"I like 'dull,'" he admits, his own voice pleasant and soft, but carrying well over the distance. "And if I'm to be anywhere dull, it may as well be in the open air."
Now he does stop off his little ledge, and in a single leap lands on a somewhat closer one. The move is fluid, and demonstrates that one quality he has in common with his alternate is his grace.

"The shadows," Jazz says distinctly, "are better. If one is in open air, one calls attention to oneself."
Which doesn't explain why the three steps out of the shadows were taken, why Jazz doesn't cringe as Fleetwind comes closer. The admirable grace is one of those qualities that the visored gaze had often envied. Perceptor may have taken overlong on the repairs, however...
"You are not the same-- I think he despaired of dull." Jazz trails off, voice used more in the past few minutes than in the months prior. A lie? The truth? Who knows-- if one knew this being, it could be either, or an amalgam of the two. "What is this place like?"
Will the yellow terror come closer, or will he force Jazz to move towards him? Either way, to decrease the rasp, the distance must be closed.
Jazz waits to see what the other will do, before making another move.

"I'm not colored for the shadows," Fleetwind points out. "I'm light, and the traitor sun is bright. Most walk openly. When bright sun betrays bright metal in shadows, however, attention is immediately called to that. 'Why is one skulking when the rest walk openly?'"
Fleetwind looks around, scanning the area for dangers. Of course, as a flier and a jet, he has the advantage of being able to flee quickly should things go bad. He step-leaps forward yet again. Casual conversations are less attention-getting than stand-offs.
"Besides, have you seen my build? In my home reality, I can become invisble simply by standing near to another Seeker."
Fleetwind looks idly towards the traitor sun, though he still keeps Jazz on the edge of his visual field. "I would expect I'm not the same. If things were the same, we wouldn't have this... arrangement, would we?"

"I see." The voice says simply, quietly. There are no visible dangers. Not that Jazz would explain the invisible traps, or suchlike. One does not explain such to a being that one does not fully trust. "We would not have any arrangements."
Jazz could have scanned Oracle, or one of the jets... and become invisible-- at least part of the time. Why was that not thought of? Because the silver figure was too busy planning escape routes, in case things went downhill, and perhaps a way to pay off debts swiftly. Alas, Jazz is still a bit befuddled by being chosen to accompany the Prime to this world so soon after Perceptor's work was certified. One thing is still the same, however. Curiosity. "Do you miss your home?"

See? Now, why can't the others get along like this? It's not as if these two trust each other - they're just not chomping at the bit to break the truce.
Ah, yes. Because the others aren't cowards. That's right.
Fleetwind inclines his head faintly in answer to Jazz's question. "From time to time. Most of this world is too flat for my tastes, and the mountains are... not right. This place doesn't sing like home occasionally did."
Then the Seeker shrugs. "Of course, if I had stayed, I'd be dead longer. So I'll deal with this organic world and it's lack of song. It's better than the alternative."
He pauses. "You?"

Jazz's head shakes in a negative response.
"I am finished there. This might not be the best place to be stranded, however..." The voice changes to a lower level. Less grating, "It is all that I have. Organic or no."
The silver figure remains still as Fleetwind stays far away. Probably for the best, Jazz realizes. If Fleetwind gets any closer...
"Your mountains sang?"

"When the winds whipped hard enough among their broken edges they did," Fleetwind answers, nodding once.
He falls silent for a time, then considers. There is a reason he'd been watching the camp, something more than just to let them know they're being watched. He saw something during his brief encounter with the other Skyfire that's bothered him since.
"You have a Thundercracker," he says as though it were a fact, even though he himself isn't sure. Jazz's reaction will be telling. "This seems... strange, given that the alternates otherwise all gather under the same faction banner for your group as they do for ours. The causes may be different, but their symbols stay the same. And yet you have an Autobot Thundercracker."
Fleetwind is wrong on this last bit, of course. Thundercracker isn't an Autobot but a slave to an Autobot - but being corrected provides information, too.

"Decepticon Thundercracker." Jazz corrects sharply, then remembers who Fleetwind is. "He belongs to Skyfire. I'm not entirely certain why he stays. Possibly because he knows that his Decepticons are finished."
Why is Fleetwind asking Jazz? Why doesn't he ask Skyfire? The big raiding transport would probably be able to tell more about why 'TC' is still around them.
But Jazz does know that Perceptor had a bit to do with it, and Skyfire's interesting tastes in pets. There's just no point in telling Fleetwind that there are speculative optics that might find /him/ an interesting showpiece to tame.
Jazz doesn't continue talking, however, but falls into that uncomfortable silence. There should be information to gather-- an alternate to find out about. Weaknesses to exploit. No words come, however.

Fleetwind is asking Jazz because Jazz is here. And at Jazz's description, Fleetwind isn't sure he'd want to ask Skyfire, anyway.
"Belongs to?" he asks, optics narrowed. "How does a Decepticon come to belong to an Autobot? I admit to be owned, but only by the one who holds the title of 'Emperor.' My ownership transfers with that title." Then he shrugs. Jazz isn't of a... similar but opposite reality as his, anyway. He's from a different subset.
"Who owns you?" he asks.
