"You should have just cut the main radio cable bundle," Hook nitpicks, "that is much more efficient." It is indeed much more efficient. It also introduces a phantom sensation of migraine-inducing radio feedback that causes lesser Transformers to wail in pain. Hook is very good, but he's cruel at times.
As soon as Optimus Prime stops checking the bonds and starts getting defensive, Hook starts getting offensive in a fashion that is more than verbal. He tries to engage his combiner transformation, which pushes at all sorts of weird angles.
Maybe it'll break his bonds!
Maybe he'll just flash everyone some Devastator head and end up looking rather ridiculous.

"I could simply disable your main power converter and shut down your core, too," Perceptor snaps at Hook. "Or perhaps Optimus would be kind enough to deploy more fire retardant foam, instead?" It's totally a bluff; sadly, Hook probably knows that.
"That remains an option," Perceptor replies wearily toward Sentinel, offering a nod of thanks as he accepts the restraints and sorts them out. He is holding one set out toward Optimus when Hook begins to attempt to transform.
"None of that!" he declares, snatching up a tool. A quick jab, and a certain panel pops open, granting Perceptor access to Hook's transformation circuitry, which is quickly disabled. Fortunately for Hook, even now, Perceptor does so with the least amount of pain inflicted.
"Apply those," he orders briskly to both Sentinel and Optimus, nodding toward the restraints he'd dropped to deal with Hook. "Strap him to the workbench. Please." Meanwhile, he's locating any redundant systems for communications and transformation, and disabling those, too, if necessary. He's not taking any chances.
Knocking Hook out entirely is looking more and more appealing, come to think of it.
ooc: Hook's transformation ability restriction, and his impending binding done with permission.

"I was just thinking his voice was annoying," Sentinel Prime deadpans when Optimus points out that Hook could scream for help.
He looks at Perceptor warily when Perceptor talks about shutting down Hook's core. Doesn't Emirate Xaaron want him alive for some reason? Perceptor must be bluffing.
"So, Restriction Technique Hex-Niner, in Subsection 11 of Codex C of the Handbook?" Sentinel Prime suggests, grabbing the restraints and going to town with tying Hook up. "Unless you don't remember that one. Not like you get a lot of practise with fugitives. Alpha-Gygax in Subsection 2's a lot easier, though it doesn't hold up as well under acid storms."
Those happen in Perceptor's laboratory all the time, right?

Optimus lunges to grab Hook when he starts transforming, but Perceptor beats him to the punch. He just responds "Yes, sir," when Perceptor orders them to strap Hook to the table.
"You have no idea," he replies to Sentinel in a long-suffering tone. "I went through the Academy too, Sentinel, I know how to restrain a prisoner." Optimus Prime is a Boy Scout. Of course he can tie knots!

"There is nothing simple about disabling a main power converter," Hook corrects. Despite all the indignities and sufferings heaped upon him, he still has his pride.
He stares the two bickering young Autobots incredulously. Are they seriously having a piston contest over knot-work?
Hook just sighs. "No fuzzy handcuffs? I expected better from you, Perceptor." Can't Perceptor just see the disappointment on Hook's face?

Perceptor is not precisely the most socially adroit crayon in the box, and so it takes the obviousness of their banter to finally sink in before he realizes that Sentinel and Optimus are poking at each other. (Actually, it's mostly Sentinel poking, but Sentinel just saved Perceptor's Beryllium Bacon, so he's just a little bit biased at the moment) "Kindly save your piston waving for the Decepticons, please," he observes drily as he finishes his alterations to Hook's systems and closes the Constructicon back up.
"And I beg to differ, Hook," he adds with a derisive sniff. "A quick slice of the scalpel, and it could not be simpler." You know, snip, slice, dead.
Yes. Bluffing. He's actually come a long way to even be able to bluff about something so dire, really. Perhaps that, itself, will give Hook pause?
Or not.
"And I shall be certain to pass your complain on to the concierge, Hook. My most sincere apologies for such an utter lack of appropriate hospitality." There are flowers in the Biosphere shriveling from dehydration, just for being so close to the tone of Perceptor's voice right now.

Sentinel Prime starts to say, "I went through-" when Perceptor calls him on being, well, Sentinel Prime. He says hastily, "Yessir," especially because Perceptor continues to be mildly creepy.
Soon, Hook is all tied up! Sentinel Prime doesn't even tell Optimus that he did his knots wrong, a feat of amazing self-restraint, while the topic of restraints is on the table.
Okay, they have Hook here, they have a spacebridge, and he's locked in a room with a nerd and another, different nerd. When can get get out of here?

There's nothing else here for the Primes to have a piston contest over except knot-work, or they'd have it over something better! What does Hook want them to do, just not have one at all? That's crazy talk!
"Fuzzy handcuffs? I don't understand." Optimus looks at Perceptor incredulously. "How would making them fuzzy help?" Surely this is some new advancement in restraint technology that only the Decepticons have known about up until now. Hook's slip of the tongue will surely be a crucial turning point in the war effort.
He coughs. "So, do you still need us? If not, there are still Decepticons running around out there."
Sentinel is a nerd.

"You said disable. If you want to butcher like a hackjob, what you described will work fine. If you want to hot transplant, though, the procedure is considerably more complex," Hook natters, his optical band glowing with a dark amusement. Oh yes, Perceptor, tell Hook all about how to murder prisoners. If Perceptor actually went through with it, an Autobot would die and become a monster of his own free will and choice. Isn't it so easy to fall, Perceptor?
He smirks smugly over Optimus Prime's confusion. Such a young idiot! Hook tsks, "Those Decepticons you're so worried about will destroy you whether you leave the room or not. It doesn't really make a difference."

"Oh, I thought I would attempt to make you feel more comfortable, Hook, and use the Decepticon definition of disable and mercy. I am quite sorry for the misunderstanding. Would you rather I use Autobot terminology regarding killing you for everyone's sanity?" Perceptor replies, all saccharine innocence.
Why did he agree to this again?
"No, I believe that I should be able to deal with events now," he sighs as he turns towards Sentinel and Optimus. "There is no reason to inflict him upon any more of us than necessary. Or else forcibly relocating something deep into his core will actually begin to sound appealing. Go. Be safe. And thank you both."
He nods toward the door and prepares to unlock it once both Primes are ready to depart.
ooc: feel free to pose the door being opened for them. It will lock again once they have both gone through.

Sentinel Prime might just be be a nerd.Sentinel Prime tunes out the discussion of fuzzy handcuffs, because he really does not want his mind to go there. Sometimes, it's good not to be particularly creative. He squirms a little as Perceptor threatens grievous tortures upon Hook's person. That... actually bothers Sentinel Prime. He didn't think it would, but it really does, after Headmaster and after Blackarachnia and Oil Slick. Sentinel Prime looks away and paces over towards the door, pretending like he's just preparing for someone to break down the door, so he can punch some 'cons. Luckily for him, Perceptor lets them go before Sentinel Prime loses it and says something he'll regret about how awkward he's feeling. Sentinel Prime actually gives Optimus a serious, considering glance. He sucks in some air for coolant, and he offers his hand to shake, saying, "So. Just like old times, huh?" he moves toward the door. - - - OOC: Probably out of thread?

"Pretty big talk for someone strapped to a table, Hook. If all the other Decepticons go down as easy as you did, this battle shouldn't last more than 10 minutes," Optimus retorts.
His expression is incredulous for only a moment before he takes Sentinel's offered hand and shakes it. "Yeah. Just like old times," he says, following the other Prime out the door. Hopefully they can bury the hatchet for long enough to tag-team som 'Cons.
OOC: Also out.

"I was implying that Perceptor enjoys deviant amatory behaviours!" Hook calls after the retreating Optimus Prime. He then complains to Perceptor, "So naive. Your educational system is most lacking."
Hook bets Optimus couldn't build a death ray if locked in a barrel of death ray parts!
When the door opens, he does scream, "Free energon here!" because that's just good self-defense! All the dumb, strong Decepticons should come running, if they're in audio-shot.

Perceptor really sucks at the threats department; he isn't even sure why he's trying. He heaves a put-upon sigh as the door cycles shut and is locked again - without incident even, sorry, Hook - after the two Primes leave.
"One must have amatory behaviors, Hook, in order to have the ability to participate in deviant practices," he observes tiredly. "Which was certain to be a forthcoming insult anyway, so let us simply dispense with that now and be done with the idiocy, shall we?" One might get the impression that Perceptor is as trilled with Hook being there as Hook is.

Hook stares at Perceptor, momentarily speechless. He quickly recovers, "You just insulted your own love life. Fine. I give up. You're rubbish at trash talking."
Hook sighs and tries to lay back and make himself comfortable. Now begins the long, tedious, dull wait of waiting for Perceptor to make a mistake, because Perceptor eventually and inevitably will, and when Perceptor does, Hook will get free.
