Dustcutter gives Mistwind an odd look, he still has much to learn about his friend but he will get closer each and every time they meet, always a bit more of the puzzle filled in. he wasn’t so hot when it came to reading people, it wasn’t in the job description. Usually he just looked for the shock when something sabotaged exploded in their face. He bowed his head to Spinister “Thankyou” and jumped off the operating table. For a moment he thought about chasing after Mistwind, then decided against it, he figured that he was either busy or wanted solitude. Instead Dustcutter transformed into his car mode “Hey Duskwing, big guy, hunter of closed doors. Take it easy and I’ll help ya smoosh those pesky bots any time” and with that he rolled out of this thread and on his way to the CR Pool Ocean…on the ceiling…this ought to be fun.
OOC: and out of thread.

Little does Duskwing know it, but he's just earned himself a reprieve, as something suddenly makes sense to Spinister. If Mistwind will think for Duskwing and be his brains, and Duskwing will be Mistwind's firepower and strength, together they're at least as functional as most Headmasters.
Spinister pauses for a moment, and finally, he asks, voice sounding slightly hoarse, "Ah. Uhm. Want your pain sensors turned down or off?"
Spinister was supposed to ask that first, wasn't he? He actually resumes with his work before Duskwing can answer. Spinister's more used to cranking pain sensors up, just splice in an op-amp and listen to 'em scream until their voiceboxes break. Again, fixing problems by not killing people is a new thing for him.

"Ooookay," Duskwing replies to Dustcutter. How the little spider is going to help him smash Bots, he doesn't know, but he's all for the sentiment.
"Bwuh?" Duskwing's one functional optics narrows slightly. "Dat a trick question for somethin'? Youse checkin' me for the right responses? 'Cause I ain't gonna whine 'bout legi-legi--legitimate combat damage. Yeah. Gonna slag some Bots when I see dem again, but ain't gonna whine, see? 'Course, I ain't into pain, neither. My wires is a little slow, but dey ain't crossed up dat bad. So yeah, turn 'em down if dat's a thing youse s'posed to do."

Spinister looks Duskwing over dubiously. Duskwing offers up excuses so readily. Still, Spinister reviews his notes, and then, after a moment's, Duskwing work, Duskwing will find his pain cut by precisely half. Spinister then moves onto that detached arm. It's necessary for Duskwing's transformation is therefore high priority to any Transformer engineer.
Is the first question to ask not, 'Can you transform?'
Spinister checks the arm over, strips out the parts that are damaged beyond repair, places them on the junk tray, and then sets to attaching it back to Duskwing.

Sorry, forgot I was in this thread
Duskwing grimaces slightly, then glares straight ahead. Slag, does Spinister have to be all creepy-silent? How come the fragger doesn't want to interrogate him about something? Fragger's a Mayhem, after all.
...maybe he's trying to wear Duskwing down with silence, get him to start babbling his processors out. Well, it won't work! Duskwing frowns and scowls, trying to figure out what he's not going to babble about; he doesn't seem to know about any secret plots, now that he tries to think about it.

Spinister is creepy-silent because his bio says he is creepy-silent. "I don't care if he never utters another word," Megatron once said.
Also, he prefers intelligent conversation.
The arm is re-attached, now to put back in functional versions of the missing parts...
