Skipping Holi due to time-outness
Skid-Z knows the gruesome show by heart now. He even watched it a few more extra times before this meeting happened, just to be prepared. He remains still for the duration of the clip.
It's still very unnerving to think that that thing is out there, and inside Rodimus's chest.

LC remains unflappable amidst all the comments and rolled optics tossed in his direction. Riiiiight up until Rattrap flicks on that video. He's seen it once before. Way back when he'd first arrived, he'd been forced to sit through it along with all the other required stuff. He'd managed to make it through the viewing that time, but having Kup angry at him had been a very daunting prospect.
And that had been... before.
He remembers the Hate Plague a little. Dimly, like through a flickering peephole, he gets images now and then, like flashes of memory, bad purges during defrag, of all the fighting, of feeling someone with their hands in his internals tearing away, of his own hands returning the favor. He doesn't really remember much else before that. Not even flickers or flashes. It's all dark, corrupted, wiped away.
Except Unicron.
He remembers Unicron. He remembers Unicron with the sharp clarity usually reserved for an episode of Baywatch or Knight Rider. He remembers looking up at a view screen and seeing... seeing that. Seeing Unicron tearing into a world he didn't remember ever seeing before that still, somehow, felt familiar. He remembers seeing a huge white hand fill that screen, and then everything going dark. Crushing. Weight. Pain. Trapped. The sensation of being buried alive and crushed to death all at the same time, only without the blessed oblivion of deactivation.
He hadn't remembered that before watching that vid. This vid. But he'd dreamed it later, and he remembers now, and he...
"DONOTWANT!" he yowls as he leaps upward, bypassing simply getting to his feet entirely in lieu of launching himself for the nearest big object to cower behind and whimper, trembling from nose to tail.

Spy Shot watches the footage almost impassively, though his mouth slowly pulls into a frown. The first time he watched it he had been disconnected from it, only understanding the vague tragedy of the loss of an entire planet and its people. But now he projects the idea of his friends onto every victim and he can feel the loss.
And as daunting as the prospect of fighting something as large as a planet is, he confirms to himself that even - or especially? - against Unicron, he will do what it takes to save those that need saving.

OOC: Skipping Jazz due to timeout
Slider's question was answered in one of the worst ways possible. Although he was the type to look at any data his superiors marked as "required viewing," he still hadn't gotten to the footage of Unicron. His notion of what was possible and impossible came crashing down at that point. A world-sized transformer was just... nuts. Yet there it was.
In some ways Slider could be thankful that he had a faceplate. It helped to keep him from looking slack-jawed. It didn't manage to hide the dread in his voice as he spoke up.
"Sir, why are we watching this?"

She had seen the demon as he appeared as a spatial anomaly intent on devouring existence and she had helped to face it alongside many others. Just the simple fact that it was so impersonal made it bearable however despite the fact that against something so monumental, any help she could provide seemed almost inconsequential. Still she was born to race and that was a race of life and death. Watching the veiwscreen, her heart sunk but her spark still burned bright, facing off against the impossible was a damn sight easier than public speaking any day of the week.
Though she could very much empathise with Longcat, this was something she couldn’t hide from, not until she saw the chequered flag.

Rattrap favours the assembled with a look of pity as the reactions start rolling in, but there's no sympathy on his part.
"We're watchin'," he answers Slider, "so the folks here who haven't seen it can see it. And we'll refresh some memories while we're at it. And you need to see it," he adds to forestall that potential question, "because not everybody seems t' have Big Ugly in their realities. He's kinda… eh, germane t' the discussion." Once the recording plays through in full, Rattrap turns it off. "Any questions about the Living Appetite there before we go on?"

(whoops! so so sorry!)
Skid-Z remains silent. He does sympathize with the rest, but this video is all important for them to see.
(And we go skippable!)

LC is refusing utterly to come out of hiding, his joints rattling almost comically as long as that recording is playing, his head buried under his front paws. "...do not want..." he whimpers.
Even once the recording is clicked off, LC remains cowering behind whatever lucky mech he's managed to stuff himself. "...monorail cat has no stop at that station. Do we hafta fight Basement Cat again?" he asks in a small voice.

Spy Shot also chooses to remain silent. There are a million questions he could potentially ask, but this seems like one of the times he should fall back on his old conditioning and simply watch and listening.
OOC: Skippable.

Slider had questions to be sure. Such as: How can a transformer this size exist? How did those other realities deal with it? But none of it answered the question of why they were reviewing this now. So he kept his non-mouth shut and waited for the explanation to come.

It takes Rattrap a couple of seconds to translate LongCat into Normal, and then he shrugs.
"We might," he says honestly. "Since he's here and all, and accordin' to some, throwin' ourselves at him is just what we do. But there's another problem wit' him." Now Rattrap himself looks pretty uncomfortable and he re-settles himself in his chair. "At some point, our fearless second in command tackled Big Ugly back on his turf and… somethin' went wrong. They couldn't kill the guy as big as a planet – surprise, surprise–" His cynicism knows no bounds and he waves one hand dismissively. "So they came up with a new master plan and tried lockin' him up inside the Matrix instead. They got that part done."
He leans forward and rests his elbows on his knees after rubbing the back of his neck and taking a moment to let his fur smooth back down. Just talking about Unicron alternates his currents.
"So he's gettin' a free ride wit' Rodimus right now," he mutters. He makes no effort to hide his displeasure with this, but stoicism was never one of his virtues.

Post by Wheelie (ROTF) on Apr 22, 2011 12:17:17 GMT -5
It is not hard to make Wheelie feel small. But it is hard to make him shut up and right now, he doesn't make a sound. He looks at that footage and while he may be a rotten bastard, even he understands the sheer terror of what he is beholding. Sure, Unicron doesn't exist in his reality (he hopes), but the sheer scale of destruction is something from the stuff of legends, like the Harvesters, only far more brutal. It makes his tiny frame tremble and his skid plates to wriggle against the seat in nervousness, eager to shift the conversation topic to something else already.
But ahahahaha, oh no, he does not have that luck. No, whenever he thinks that something can't get worse, it does. Wheelie actually shrieks in terror and instinctively climbs on top of his seat, fleeing to the highest safe point, only to realize just how stupid it is what he did. So he quickly decides to mask it by putting himself at the center of attention. How he does that? Easy!
"YOU MEAN WE'RE ON THE SAME SHIP AS THE THING THAT HATES US AND WANTS TO WHACK US ALL!?"
He yells that as loud as his vocalizers allow him too, while a look of sheer horror has twisted his face into something that can best be described as a misshapen and recoiling tree branch with glowing eyes.

OOC: Given the lack of interest in actually seeing the thread through and how long it's dragged on with no activity, we will assume Rattrap explained how Unicron is contained and under control, and that he can be dealt with (and was/will be in some timeline). Rattrap will also have stressed that there are bigger concerns for all of them, namely that they're headed for Cybertron to find out what's going on around here. Rodimus's chest monster is not part of Intel's work load and Rattrap will deal personally with anyone who gets their rumour on or starts scaremongering about it.
End of thread.
