A remarkable calm sweeps over Mayday as Starscream hefts him up by his throat. Time seems to slow down and the rest of the universe fades away. Even his body feels detached from him as his hands scrabble weakly at Starscream's grasp, almost of their own accord. There's just him and the Decepticon, and as he stares into the glowing red eyes of his impending death, all he can think is: At least it wasn't Big Bay's Atomic fever.
And at least he got to do something important before he went. The Event Horizon was probably the most spectacular thing he helped give to a universe. A most spectacular ship! His magnum opus! He can go... well, not happily, but maybe kind of contentedly at least, knowing that he did good.
And... his optics lose focus on Starscream for a moment and he can see the torn edges of the hole blown and torn into the bridge. His bridge.
"S-stop...," he whimpers. He can also see weapon fire, whizzing past to impact walls and consoles.
The Event Horizon really is his great work. And he worked hard on her, slaggit! Struggled to help design a ship that would do everything they needed and could be built from the limited resources they could find. Helped build her from scratch with his own two servos! He'd put his coolant and oil into building her, and here are the 'Cons, thinking they can just barge in a ruin all his hard work!
She may not be his dear Perdition, but this ship is his home now, and the Decepticons can't have her!
"STOP BLOWING HOLES IN MY SHIP!" He punctuates his words by flipping his left hand into his plasma torch and jamming it into Starscream's wrist. Simultaneously, he hooks his consciousness back into the ship's systems, the hard line still running from the back of his head and up into the equipment on the ceiling. It only takes a split second to trigger the isolation protocols that separate the Bridge Section's systems from the rest of the ship. There will be no commandeering this bridge and taking control of the Event Horizon!
He is terrified. His wounds sting. But now he is also angry. And that is something he can focus on.

Poor Mayday; your ship is about to get yet another hole torn into it, as Barricade pilots the shuttle toward the Event Horizon's bridge. There's too much going down on the Bridge, though, and too high a chance to hit their own mechs; Barricade angles the little shuttle tug down to tear a new hole - or rather, enlarge the one Lugnut had blasted - into the hull just below the Bridge.
As the ship crunches to a halt, Barricade abandons the controls and simply punches his way out the crumpled viewscreen, rather than exit through the door where they will be expected.
"Honey, we're hoooooome!" he howls happily, flail deploying to slam up against the ceiling.
Everyone else is on their own to get out; he got them there. it's time to go play now.
ooc: out of thread unless stopped. He's off to find him someone to beat the slag up now, thanks.

Rev's shots impact Starscream's wide, dorito-like chest, doing superficial damage and causing showers of sparks. He ignores them, a brief grunt his only indication that the energy blasts bother him at all. He has the pilot in his grasp, and thus he has the ship.
Ah, but the little mech has some fight in him! This is what Starscream is thinking as he cries out in pain from the welding torch in his wrist joint. Good, he can die like a warrior and not an insect. Starscream likes it better that way. The Decepticon Air Commander transforms his free hand into a circular saw and slices through the cables connecting Mayday to the ship. Then he heaves Mayday at Rev as hard as he can.
"You want him back?! Take him!" he shouts, doing a quick and dirty diagnostic on his injured wrist. Nothing too bad, he can keep going. So he deploys gatling guns on both forearms and shouts "Bring it!" jumping down off the chair and running toward the Autobot nobody who had the audacity to shoot at him. Because she's about to get knocked down by a well-tossed pilot, right?
OOC: Further abuse of Mayday with permission.

Assault doesn't look out of a viewport. He doesn't need to see the ship they're about to crash into coming closer. Oh no, he hangs on to a piece of piping, bracing himself while clutching his rifle in his other hand. When they do smash into the Event Horizon he's rattled but manages to keep standing, waiting until they have come to a complete standstill before moving to the new entrance that Barricade so kindly made.
"Brawl, with me." Once he has snapped his 'request' at the Combaticon he jumps out after the Con pig, bolting for a piece of cover before he opens fire on any Autobots in their way.

Cheetor returns Dinobot's grin, and crosses his swords for a moment. "You got that right!"
Time to take these guys on! They're bigger and uglier than any Predacon Cheetor's seen. However, command wanted a count of the invaders, so a quick glance-over...
//Looks like we got a half-dozen-ish really big nasties up on the bridg--//
...wait, is that Rampage? Cheetor's momentary pause is enough for him to miss the cricket, until it's too late, and the sonic noise makes him cover his ears. The beam blows out part of his shoulder-fin as well. He's staggering backward, hands over his audios.
Enough that he misses Jetstorm's incoming tackle, and is knocked out of the thread.

Not one to miss out on repelling a Decepticon raid, Slider blazes toward the Main Bridge in vehicle mode, leaving a trail of sparks behind him as he hugs the walls a bit too close. He was already late to the fight. His lack of familiarity with his new home causing him to miss the proper hallways and forcing him to take the long way around. Thus he manages to completely his new roommate's struggles with an old foe. Instead he arrived on a scene of flying bullets, flying punches, and flying robots.
Slider transformed smoothly and came to a stop just behind the door frame. His rifle barrel slid from his wrist and overtook his arm and hand. Without a word he started firing into the crowd, picking his targets from biggest to smallest. What issued from the rifle could hardly be called dangerous, glorified micro-transmitters in a magnetized shell, but used correctly they could stop the assault dead in it's tracks.
//I've arrived at the bridge and I'm employing tracer rounds. I'll upload target positioning data as soon as they start transmitting...
Oh slag! Switching to live fire.//
Slider cut the uplink as his photon charges clicked into place. The 'Oh slag!' in question was one advancing air commander with movie accurate gatling gun action. He aimed for Starscream's chest, just under the neck and chin, and fired.

Mayday won't be knocking down anyone this time! A blue and lavender streak cuts through the chaos that is the bridge, ducking between and around and under the combatants with the greatest of ease, as if everyone else is standing perfectly still.
For Blurr, that's exactly how it is.
Haywire, keep an eye out for me while I keep an eye on Mayday! he tells his little partner as he moves to intercept the tumbling pilot before he can slam into Rev.
Got it! He feels the hum as the all too eager Nebulan readies himself for a firefight and can't help the grin that seems to bleed over from his weapon. If Blurr has anything to say about the matter, however, they won't be here long enough for that. He cuts left, around Cheetor and just missing the sonic blast of the cricket, then back to the right, taking him between Mayday and Rev.
"Don't mind if I do!" he jeers back at Starscream, scooping Mayday up mid-flight in a sloppy fireman's carry. He doesn't even bother turning; he just rebounds off a damaged support jutting from the bulkhead where it's been snapped loose by the double impacts, then cuts a new path for the door.
OOC: If no-one objects, will be in and out (with Mayday) this post, unless we can come up with plausible interference, I guess? Aiming to pare down the numbers in here a little, if possible.

Brawl jumps onto the Event Horizon, landing on the deck with a resounding clang and firing his gun into the air. "Yeah, let's do it! 'Bout time we had some action around here!" he yells.
"Huh? Where we goin'?" he asks, turning his featureless face toward Assault. "We got plenty of Autoscrap to blast right here! Wh-hey, wait up, slaggit!" he calls after the Seeker, hurrying to keep up.

The punch connects with Omega Supreme, but he digs his feet into the floor and only skids back a bit, leaving furrows rent into the orange metal of the floor.
For his own part, he tries to grab Lugnut with a crushing claw grip and drag him out the hole. There are little fights exploding all around them, and the easiest way that Omega Supreme knows to keep collateral damage down is to not fight near anything important.

Rev was actually jealous of Blurr’s speed, she was used to being the fastest thing on two legs and well now she wasn’t – and he didn’t even have wheel feet – he could handle stairs and everything too – so not fair. But right now as he caught Mayday not a moment too soon, she was glad he was there. It gave her the chance to concentrate fully on her opponents and provide intel back to command.
“Bring off yourself bird legs” she shouted back to Starscream. She radioed on the broadband //Uglies on the bridge and leaving. Big grey jet, breakaways reality. Looks like Lugnut is going one on one with Omega. Blurr has Mayday safe. Got a dark blue generic seeker and a plain blue one. Red and orange bike former. Tank crab tangoing with Dinobot. Small jet bot going for Cheetor. Black car, again Breakaway’s joining in too now. They crashed a shuttle into the bridge. There’s more coming.// her words across the radio sound like a single sentence. Take note Blurr, this is how to be concise.
She may have chosen to do differently if she was from another reality. In hers, if you died, you got re-tooled and re-painted and came back even better than before. She didn’t have a clue about the deadly melee capability of at least two in front of her. She couldn’t even say “I’m canon, you can’t kill me off”.
Rev ran over one cricket a fraction of a second after its sonic attack hit her right wheel. Warning signs flashed in her Hud indicating potential stress fractures, she ignored them and focused on staying moving and skating between the Decepticons, making her a harder target she hoped. She was taking fire but so far her luck was holding, only surface damage for now but her thin skinned armour wouldn’t hold much longer.

The enemy's attacking! And a whole slag load of mooks has come to bang up the Event Horizon and every Autobot inside. As soon as Scrapper went to investigate, his optics saw an array of weapons firing everywhere at him and his new buddies. The last time Scrapper was involved in such an assault, he was on the opposite side. And there weren't quite as many foes to worry about.
Unfortunately for Scrapper, the Allspark hadn't quite blessed him with any long ranged weapons. So the best he could do at the moment was duck under the nearest piece of rubble he could find. Close range, he could possibly manage to fight back. No chance to get in close yet, however.
But, Scrapper couldn't stay hiding forever. Partially because his cover was getting blown to bits and partially because he knew he couldn't duck forever. He had to help defend the ship the best he could. He was one of the many bots who helped build it after all. More importantly, what would happen to all the tasty oil stored within the ship if these Cons kept on blastin the ship apart.
KABOOM! That's what. And wasted oil is somethin' that ain't tolerated by Scrapper. The large piecee of rubble he used as his cover no longer big enough to shield him, Scrapper transformed into vehicle mode and scooped up a nearby chunk of rubble. He lobbed it at the attacking Decepticons, hoping it'd hit one of 'em. More than likely it would just get shot to pieces, but it was worth a shot. After the first one was tossed, he quickly scooped up another one and tossed it.
"Have summa dis!" Scrapper shouted, tossing chunks towards the general vicinity of Decepticons. "And a bitta dat!"

As satisfying as it was to punch Omega, the lack of movement displeased him greatly. He tries to hit the gaudy giant again, but unfortunately the Autobot is just a bit faster and before he knows it he's dragged out into open space.

OOC: Hi! I'm not here! This is just a quick OOC note because the posting order has gotten pretty hopelessly jumbled to help get things back on track!
Up: Dinobot Screwdriver Rampage Starscream Slider Rev Scrapper
I'm assuming that Blurr and Mayday are good to leave the thread, since no one's objected. Further peeling off into sub-battles is encouraged. Looks like 'open' good guys are Slider, Rev, and Scrapper, while 'open' bad guys are Screwdriver and Starscream. Truth be told, Starscream alone is probably easily dangerous enough for the three of them, while Screwdriver can vary from annoying sidelines pest to full out threat. Things don't have to lay out this way - this is just what I'm observing. I now return you to your regularly scheduled chaos!

"Cheetor, you idiot! Pay attention to your surroundings! This is combat!" Really, it is just like old times. Dinobot is starting to remember that old times kind of sucked, what with Cheetor being irresponsible and Rattrap being Rattrap.
Dinobot, practicing what he preaches, sees Rampage, sees the missile coming, and blasts it out of the air with his laser vision, shielding himself from the worst of the explosion with his shield before running after the cat. Hopefully Rampage will follow.

"My conscience!" Screwdriver cries out as Rev crushes a cricket. She pouts for a moment, then practically skips to one of the disabled terminals. Halfway there, a stray shot blasts her right arm off, put she simply picks it up and replaces it. Once she gets to the computer panel, she starts to push a few buttons, then frowns and announces, "The strings have been cut!" Then she starts to pry the panel open anyway.
The crickets are still bounding around, but since the bridge probably lacks air by this point, they're not doing much. So how does she talk? She's a space robot. People talk in vacuums all the time!
(She was probably using her radio.)
OOC: No attacks this post - the 'Bots have enough problems right now, methinks.
