Jetstorm is also looking back and forth, and considering the same things - flying aliens, hanging out with the other fliers, and Talon Rolls?
Both sound awesome, and it seems impossible to choose! Why, Jetstorm wonders why they can't just do bo--
That thought process is interrupted by Jetfire passing the buck! "I am not certain either, they both are sounding good..."

"It would be a serious time commitment," Sentinel Prime admits soberly. "You wouldn't have much time for fun."
There, he went and lanced himself in the foot.
It's like... The Twins are those stupid little brothers your parents go and have when you're ten. The suddenly, you're not an only child anymore! And your parents go out for martinis and leave you at home to make dinner and change the diapers. And you really, really resent this, because your parents are sleeping in during the morning, and you're being woken up by crying.
Then a college guy with a nice car who turns into a jet wants to take them to the prom.
Actually, no, this metaphor has gotten way too weird. Scratch that.
Still, the Twins are going to go off with Breakaway for sure, and Sentinel Prime is going to sulk. They're kids. They won't want to give up all their free time.

Breakaway would totally take the Twins to the prom. Only he's not a college guy, he's a senior when they're freshman, and he's going stag. But look how sensitive he is letting his little friends tag along! They would sing "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" at random girls until someone didn't throw punch at them.
He looks at Sentinel Prime. The blue guy is really taking this seriously. "You know, if it's a big deal, we could just split them. I'll take the top halves, and you can take the bottom halves," he jokes, making a cutting motion with his hand at the Twins' midsections. Hopefully it lightens the mood.

Jetfire isn't afraid of serious commitment! He was a super serious Elite Guard Junior Officer back home! Okay, so maybe not super serious. But at least a little serious, and a lot obedient. Besides, Elite Guard training itself was fun, and if they're part of an aerial display team and getting to meet flying aliens and stuff, he can't imagine that this new Elite Guard would be much less fun.
But, both do sound good, and he grins at Breakaway's suggestion. "Perhaps you are not to splitting us top and bottom, but instead left and right?" He shoots an amused look at Jetstorm, thinking about their Safeguard combination.

Jetstorm is a bit leery of the loss of free time, though they were pretty busy on Pz-Zazz, but still were able to goof off to a degree. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
The split talk, and Jetfire's comment makes him reach up and lightly thwack his brother in the back of the head. "Brother, that would be splitting us up!" And well, we can't have that, can we?
...
"Wait..." Jetstorm re-rails his train of thought to a previous track. "Can we be doing both?"

Sentinel Prime is usually pretty serious, often about inconsequential things. At Breakaway's joke, Sentinel Prime looks completely aghast, and he takes a step back, recoiling. Sentinel Prime protests, shocked and horrified, clutching a non-existent handbag, "That's not even funny, flyboy!"
But if they're splitting them, Sentinel Prime calls dibs on Jetfire. He can consistently remember Jetfire's name, which is good, and Jetfire is orange instead of blue, so he brings diversity to the team.
Sentinel Prime does admit, "Well, you are separate people, with distinct hopes and dreams of your own," oh, gag him with a spoon; this political correctness will be the death of him, "so you don't have to do everything together if you don't want to."
Then he confirms, "You could do both. You'd just be very, very busy."

"Hey, chill out, Sentinel! It was just a joke," Breakaway says, raising his hands defensively.
"Anyway, Sentinel's right. You could do both. Technically, you've got extra training sessions with me whether you want 'em or not, it's just a question of how much extra time you want to devote to it."

Jetfire sends and elbow Jetstorm's way in response to the whack to his head, even as considers the possibility of joining both teams. On the one servo he'd be giving up free time to goof off and have fun. However, free time is really a new luxury for him, and he'd always made time for goofy off even while he was busy!
And then on the other servo would be having to give up Sentinel Prime and showing off for aliens, or giving up hanging out and learning and fighting with Breakaway and the other Autobot fliers. He'd rather not give up any of that!
"I am much surprised, brother!" he says. "You are actually having good idea."

Jetstorm grunts at the elbowing, but grins. "I am being surprised you know what a good idea looks like, brother!" He starts to return the elbow, then remembers that hey, two superiors right here in front of them, looking to get them both for duties. He snaps up straight. "In that case, I am wanting to do both things!"

Sentinel Prime is disappointed that they don't like him better than Breakaway. However, he supposes that he'll take what he can get. Yes, flying goof-bots who know how to follow orders! It's like Primemas. Sentinel Prime scowls, points a finger, and insists, "Just make sure you take care of your health. No collapsing in tired wrecks."
Do as Sentinel Prime says, not as he does.

Does Breakaway need to mark Primemas on his calendar?
"Okay, that works. Stop by the office," so much disgust in that one word, "later and we'll throw together a training schedule that works for everyone." he says, looking to Sentinel Prime for confirmation.

"I am wanting to do both things, also!" Jetfire echoes Jetstorm, snapping to attention as well.
His face splits into a goofy grin at Sentinel's mix of concern, grumpiness, and orders. He pops off a salute and says, "Yes, sir! I will be making sure Brother is not getting himself into tired wrecks!" Because obviously it goes without saying that Jetfire can care for himself, but Jetstorm needs special looking after.
And being in the Elite Guard here means he should address Sentinel Prime as 'sir' again, right? Ranks can be so confusing.
Breakaway also gets a nod and a 'Yes, sir!'

Primemas is the most wonderful time of the year!
If you're a Prime.
Jetstorm salutes as well - "Yes sirs! I will only be getting into the physical wrecks, not the tired ones!" Because there's totally a difference."
He then looks over at his brother, grinning widely. "Brother, we are being Elite Guard again, and part of Air Corps! We are rocking!" He then attempts to high-five his brother. This may result in an actual high five, or him falling on his face.

"Yes, I'll have three different drafts forthwith," Sentinel Prime replies, glaring at Breakaway for being disgusted by offices. Offices are the best. They're a great place to organise every detail and make schedules.
He continues to be grumpy and stern, insisting, "Don't let it go to your heads. And try to avoid those physical wrecks, too. Perceptor's overworked as it is, Botanica's been sick, Swerve's the spawn of a sedan... ahem, excuse my Kaonic."

In Breakaway's experience, offices are where you get sent to be chewed out after you buzz the tower. He never thought he'd have one of his own.
"How is that Kaonic? You know a sedan is just a kind of car, right?" he asks, then shrugs. "Anyway, I'll see you all around," he says, turning on his oversized heel and making to leave the room.
