Month 1, Week 3, Day 4, Semi-private, Defense has the cross-exam if they want it, and Ultra Magnus and Dinobot can interject with possible objections at any time. Optimus as judge can interject at any time.
After all the details are once more taken care of, Elita-1 approaches the witness stand. Softly- but not so softly that the judge can't hear and make sure she isn't doing something dicey- she addresses the Guardian.
"Now Omega, I understand that it is difficult for you to talk as the average individual does given what happened to you," which will come out during the questioning, "Just do the best that you are able and we will manage."
Louder she says, "Omega Supreme, what was the function for which you were built? And prior to your joining the war effort, where did you perform said functions?"

Omega Supreme tends to look over at Hook very pointedly, and it is pretty clear, based off his body language, that he would like nothing better than to smash hook against the floor until Hook stops moving. It takes him a while to swivel his head over at Elita-1 at all.
He does not yet oblige her as he did Optimus Prime in his own reality, keeping to his clipped speech pattern for now as he answers, "Function: Guardian. Location: Crystal City."
The Guardians were kind of a big deal in his own reality, but Optimus Prime was surprised that Omega Supreme was one, so they were sort of an old, forgotten thing.
If this was his own reality, Omega Supreme might well have jurisdiction over Hook, but, for now.... he won't go through Grimlock, a fellow Autobot, to get it.

"Since there are multiple realities with versions of Guardian Robots, could you please describe for the court the particular expectations of a Guardian in your reality set? So that there is no confusion for the jury?"
Once Omega answers, Elita will continue, "You base of operations was Crystal City, or Crystal City was your jurisdiction?"
Inwardly, Elita winces. Seriously, once this done, Long Haul and Omega are getting hugs. And energon goodies. Surely she can convince Optimus to make them for her.

"Guardian of Cybertron," Omega Supreme clarifies, though that does not help much. "Assignment: protect Crystal City. Keep peace. Repel invaders. Stop terrorism."
Does she need something more specific?

"Thank you, Omega."
Elita-1 continues, "Why did Crystal City warrant it's own guardian? Was it a particularly vulnerable or important target in the event of invasion?"
She continues to press, "And did you share that duty of sterwardship with any others in any manner?"

"Cultural achievement. Historic value," Omega Supreme rumbles. "Location: aesthetic. City: helpless. Required protection."
That he failed to give.
"Responsibility: sole."
There were probably security guards and police of some kind, maybe even a small local militia, but none of this is shown in the cartoon, so it is a safe assumption that Omega Supreme bears the lion's share of the responsibility upon his broad shoulders.

Elita can't quite help it. She reaches out an places her fingers on the edge of the witness box. "I'm sorry, Omega," she says softly.
"What relationship, if any, did you have with the builders of Crystal City, already established before the court to have been Long Haul and his other family members?"

Omega Supreme's gaze shifts and fixates on those fingers, as if there was nothing else in the world, because if he stares at them, he can almost convince himself that Hook isn't there and that it would not be so very easy to take a few long strides and kill Hook in a few short motions.
Then he brings his claw hand to his helmet and looks away entirely when she asks him what his relationship to the builders was. Omega Supreme grates out, "Relationship: close."
Fantasising about murder is not really something one should do with one's friends.

Elita-1 nods.
"And that relationship now?"

"Broken," Omega Supreme says hoarsely. "Betrayed."
He does pause for a moment, to clarify, "Long Haul: young. Relationship: intact."
Then back to it, "Hook: older. Status: enemy. Verdict: destruction."
Omega Supreme's the Guardian of Crystal City. Don't think he wouldn't exercise his jurisdiction all over Hook's brittle little body.

Hrm.
Elita turns to Optimus. "Your honor, the Prosecution would like to respectively request that the defendant be removed from the court for the duration of Omega Supreme's testimony. We feel that Hook's continued presence may cause undue stress upon Omega for reasons which will be made clear during questioning."

Optimus Prime looks at Elita-1, the Omega Supreme, then Hook, frowning. He's heard bits and pieces of the Guardian's history, (it's the kind of thing that comes up around the energon dispenser), but it needs to be stated for the record nonetheless.
"Omega Supreme, would it be helpful if Hook left the room while you were on the stand?" he asks gently.

Take Hook where Omega Supreme can't see him and keep an optic on him? Omega Supreme frowns deeply in thought, claws clenching hard enough that little stress fractures start to show on his 'hand'. Grundgling, he grants, "Order: paramount." He may not like this trial, but he'll be a good Autobot and play along for now.
But if Hook's found innocent, Omega Supreme may well throw the Autobot Code out the window and turn to a little frontier justice. Long Haul may never forgive him if he does that, though. Life was so much simpler when Omega Supreme could be as dark as knight as he wished, when he had no one to try to keep his claws unstained for.
"Suggestion: meritorious."
Take Hook out for now. It'll be less distracting, and the courtroom won't be made a mockery.

"Thank you, Your Honor,"
Once Hook is removed, she turns back to Omega and asked the million energon cube questions.
"Omega, how were you betrayed? What happened to Crystal City?"

Omega Supreme is silent for a while and finally admits, "Will explain normally."
It's an effort for him, but this situation deserves the effort. "I'd spoken with them not long before. They were my friends then, I thought, but they tricked. They told me another city was under Decepticon attack and needed my help, so I left Crystal City." He shouldn't have.
"They lied."
"I returned to Crystal City in ruins, but the worst - for me - was yet to come. I tracked them and found them and tried to fix what was done to them." His logic probe twitches a bit. "They pretended it worked, but what was done could not be undone. They tricked me again and led me to the Robo-Smasher and tried to turn me into a Decepticon, too. I shook it off before it could complete its work."
Yes, Omega Supreme has some Decepticon code in his head. It's never going to go away. Is anyone uneasy yet?
"So we are enemies now."
